That's my third respite care period at Newcarron Harris Unit, as before the care staff were excellent they are so good, jovial and full of fun. I will not go into the Christmas Lunch as I wasn't there. (Enough said!!) I can't single anyone out, as they were all great. The meal menu and quality could be doing with a rethink as this could be improved. This is the only thing that I can think of that needs review. Staff make Newcarron the home of choice it's enough to say "I WILL BE BACK"

It's a nice care home, staff are very good. The food is very good and so is the Gin for collection. Having a nice time here. Staff are very good.

I am looked after very well here. The staff are very caring and the food is great. I feel safe here and looked after well. My late wife was here and the care that was given to her was second to none.

I am delighted with the care my husband is receiving and he seems to be settling in not too badly.

Mum had been a resident since June 2023. Nothing was a problem to the staff (both in the field of admin and nursing) even though she was challenging at times. She had a few appointments at the local hospital during her stay and they made sure that she was transported there for the appointment times which took pressure off me trying to get her there on my own. Sadly passed away in May 2024, the care throughout her stay and the compassion shown to me and my family during her passing, was so thoughtful and comforting and carried out in a dignified manner so befitting to an elderly person. After her passing, on returning to pick up items belonging to my mum, compassion was shown to me and my son by staff who looked after mum and weren't on shift when she passed, they came to have a chat and recall the relationship moments they had with her. To be accompanied to the door on leaving the home for the last time was also a lovely gesture and I can't thank all concerned for the way we were treated.

My father is extremely happy at Newcarron Court. Staff can't do enough for him. He is very happy.

My family and I are very happy with the help and support my husband is getting. He settled into the nursing home very well. Keep up the good work!

My frail elderly aunt has been in Newcarron Court Skye House for over a year. She absolutely loves it. She has made new friends, is always busy and has been on several really nice outings. The home is warm, clean and welcoming. The staff are very friendly, dedicated and caring. All of my aunt's needs, whether medical, social or nutritional, are carefully monitored and issues are addressed as soon as they are discovered. As a family, we are very impressed with the care she is receiving. Really can’t thank the staff enough.

I am well looked after, I enjoy the meals they are good. I enjoy my trips out on a Monday and the entertainment in the care home. I would say it is a good place to come to if you need to.

My mother is delighted with the place. The food is good. The staff are very friendly and attentive. She is very comfortable here, although she has been confined to her room for a couple of weeks due to Covid.

My mother is happy and content in Newcarron Court Care Home, giving me peace of mind and a lot less worry. On the whole, she likes the food from what I've seen the home baking is good. The staff are pleasant, caring and seem hard working. This month has seen Covid reappearing and we've been unable to go for an outing but better safe than sorry. One of my mother's issues was not drinking enough and on two occasions she has not had a jug of juice or water available to her.

The care provided to my wife is very good. Obviously with the pandemic, just now the house is under pressure from all sides so I am looking forward to the home being allowed to function normally without all the restrictions.

I am very happy with the care my mum receives. The staff are attentive to all her needs, they keep me informed about mum's welfare and to all moods. I cannot thank the staff enough and it gives me peace of mind that my mum is well looked after and safe.

Mum seems very happy with the care she receives here. She likes her room and the food. Very complimentary about the staff. I find the staff very friendly too, from reception to Crammond Wing.

I am very grateful for the care my Dad has had at Newcarron Court. Without exception, every interaction I have had with the staff has been positive. Dad has been treated with great kindness and compassion throughout his stay. I knew he was safe and warm, not to mention extremely well fed. It's a worrying time for family, so it's a great relief to have confidence in the capabilities of the team, they have provided excellent care. Staff members have dealt with potentially tricky situations with warmth and good humour. The food always looks good and I know he has enjoyed it. I am certain this has helped with his recovery. I could name many members of staff but would hate to leave anyone out! I have spoken to a couple of auxiliaries and they have been great too. Thanks to everyone at Newcarron Court.
