View Full Details of Wallside Grange Care CentreOur sister had now been a resident of Wallside for the last 7 weeks. We immediately had a good feeling about the home as soon as went to view it. This was one of 4 we had viewed and were made so welcome. Our sister's care has been superb. All staff have been so helpful and accommodating and such friendly folk and are so good with her. Her room is outstanding. Beautifully decorated and everything brand new. She has a beautiful outlook from her bay window onto the wooded garden. Would certainly recommend Wallside for great care service.
My husband was in Wallside Grange for three years and sadly died on July 30th. The car and loving kindness given by all the staff was excellent. Our family could not have wished for any more care than was given to him. The staff were very kind to all visitors and we were treated with dignity in the weeks before he died. Thanks to all the staff at Wallside Grange.
My Dad was in Wallside Grange on a 6-week assessment on discharge from hospital, he was given a lovely room overlooking the wooded gardens with excellent facilities and where he was more than looked after and cared for by a most wonderful staff, my brother and I can't thank them enough.
I thought everyone at the home was first-class, always working with a smile on their faces. They looked after my dad very well and I would highly recommend Wallside Grange Care Centre to anyone. When I speak to the staff, they are always positive but honest. The facilities are bright and comfortable and there are several age-appropriate activities and residents are encouraged to take part in. The staff are all wonderful and very caring for the residents, making them all feel safe and comfortable. My dad has a lovely garden room and the facilities are all excellent. Wallside Grange is quite honestly in a class of its own, in comparison to others I've experienced and I would highly recommend it.
My aunty stayed for respite, I honestly am so happy with the care and friendships we develop. It was a short break for us but a worrying time, the nursing team reassured us and kept in touch. We definitely will be back.
On behalf of my mum's family, we would like to thank all staff for making my mums 84th birthday special today and for allowing her 2 friends to come to join us to celebrate mum's birthday we were all touched by your kindness and for the beautiful cake and sandwiches cakes and sausage rolls you supplied. The care staff are magnificent and we couldn't wish for a better place for our mum so once again on behalf of the family we thank you all for your kindness towards our mum and the hard work you all put in Thank-you x
My Dad was admitted to Wallside Grange Care Centre near the start of Lockdown 2020. My Mum became very ill at the same time. Wallside Grange Care Centre staff have been extremely professional and their standard of communication made this very difficult transition so much easier. We entrusted Dad to them and they have been fantastic. Dad became physically very ill x 2 and staff again, could not be faulted - prompt communication and follow-ups. Now that we are able to visit Dad, we can see for ourselves how well cared for he is. Facilities are clean and welcoming and staff are brilliant, a real family atmosphere!
My knowledge of Wallside Grange goes back a few years when my mother was being looked after here. It seemed logical, that given the level of care my mother received here, that my wife be looked after here as well. To date, my wife has been well looked after by all members of staff. They appear most helpful in their care of my wife. I and the family, feel she is happy in Wallside, as she also knows the place, having visited many times to see my mother.
The staff are caring and attentive. Mum is happy content and settled. I never have to worry as I know Mum is being well looked after. Management always make contact, keeping me updated with all aspects of Mum's care.
The care staff have been so supportive during these trying times. My mother has settled in well to the home and her ongoing nursing care has been excellent. The staff communicate well and really empathise with my concerns. During reviews, they have given a very comprehensive overview regarding all aspects of my mum's care. Visits are well organised with all Covid protocols in place and we have even managed to take my mum out now, which was fantastic. The location is so peaceful and great for walking on the grounds and beyond.
My father was admitted to Wallside Grange in March suffering from advanced dementia. He passed away this weekend. I cannot praise the staff enough, in particular his carers, who provided outstanding care to my father in extremely challenging circumstances. Due to the restrictions placed on visiting rights as a result of the pandemic, we struggled to see our father very often as a family. This deprived him of regular physical contact from those closest to him. This is devastating from a dementia sufferer's point of view as this type of interaction is vital for their wellbeing. Despite this, it is clear that Dad was given sensitive interactive care from the staff, who kept us fully informed with regular updates and photos when we required. We were therefore comforted that he was safe and well looked after at a time of great anxiety. Incredibly, due to Wallside's diligence, the home remained Covid free throughout. I highly recommend Wallside Grange to any family.
Upon arrival on the first day, nobody welcomed my mum, "Oh you know where the room is". From that day on I questioned what I had done taking my mother there. The dining room still had food all over the tables/floor from the previous meals just as they are about to serve the next meal. There were no activities "they're not really interested in doing anything", really? The staff congregated around tables talking amongst themselves or using their mobiles. No interaction with the residents. The place smelled awful. I was informed that it was going to be done up, all I saw was new signs outside, I would have thought the interior was far more important. I was lucky to get my mum into a very caring home for her last weeks of life, the sense of relief when we walked out. Again nobody there to assist. If you value your relative think twice before leaving them in here.
My friend has been here since October last year, we are in regular contact via phone due to the pandemic but before I'd visit for coffee regularly. My friend is always filling me in on how well the staff are caring for him whilst he's been so unwell even running to the shops for top-ups for his phone. I enjoy my visits as the girls are always cheerful and like to have a laugh with us. I believe my friend pre-lockdown visited the shops regularly with his key worker and even helped him to go for a pint or two. I'd be happy to move here when the time comes for myself.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen mum and dad due to the lockdown restrictions, however, I have had telephone conversations over the last few weeks. All of the nursing staff have been on the phone to me today and I managed to see mum and dad, they are looking great and are doing fine, a credit to all the staff in the home. I appreciate everything you all do. Hopefully, see you all in person soon.
After visiting several care homes in the area, we were impressed with the professionalism and kindness we were shown at such a troubling time for the family. My father has been treated so well by all and this is a great comfort to us that he is in such safe hands.
I have been visiting my friend weekly for a year, before lockdown. All I can say is the staff are incredibly dedicated, hardworking and just lovely. My friend enjoys the food, activities and laughter. Even during lockdown we still see each other once a week through video calls. The staff help with this. Well done Wallside Grange.
Our family were so lucky to find a home like this for Dad. The staff are fabulous. The care is second to none. It’s so lovely seeing all the love and care they show the residents. Would 100% recommend Wallside Grange!
I am very pleased with the care my mother is receiving at Wallside. The staff are very caring and attentive. I feel all her care needs are met to the required standard.
My mother has dementia but not as severe as some other residents and I like when events and trips in the minibus are offered as good stimulation. I'm pleased she has access to a hairdresser etc, and personal care is important for her wellbeing. Staff are caring and residents are seen as individuals.
My mother has been very happy in this care home she has been extremely well looked after. The staff are so efficient, helpful and friendly. They make me so welcome when I visit my mother.
