View Full Details of Forthbank Care HomeMy aunt was put on end of life care, and I would like to thank all the staff at Forthbank Care Home for the care throughout my aunts time in the home, which was around 6 years. They really stepped up during her final days, and there care to her and my family was outstanding. Every member of staff couldn't have done anymore. Even after she passed they gave her a Guard of Honour which was really thoughtful. So thank you for the care and dignity.
My mum was a resident for nearly 6 years, she was welcomed and treated amazingly from the day she entered until she passed away. Every single staff member in the home should be applauded for their dedication and hard work. Before my mum passed, she received end of life care. The staff were kind and caring and considerate not only to my mum but to our family as well. We will always be grateful to them for the care, support, dignity and respect they gave to us and my mum.
The staff in the care home do an amazing job relevant to their job title, care staff. They cared and looked after my mother in law with dignity, respect, care and often a great deal of patience. They also cared for my sister at one point and I could not have asked for better people to look after my loved ones. The staff should be rewarded, acknowledging their dedication to their job and their residents. We will be forever thankful.
If you talk to hte manager you get an instant response to any worries. Staff efficient in very way, polite and helpful. The home is spotless. Looking forward to ending my time there as my wife says I may be there sooner than later.
My mum has fairly recently moved to Forthbank and has settled in very well. She is treated with the utmost respect by the staff and management alike. The activities are amazing, the food is excellent. She is very happy here. This care home is run extremely well, where the wellbeing of residents is considered a priority. We were as a family very lucky to have found this place for my mother.
Forthbank in Stirling has been a life line for our uncle who is living his best life, sales, warm, well fed and loved by all involved in his care. It has given the family a change to continue with their work and family life knowing he is happy. Thank you.
My experience with the care home has been excellent. My husband settled quickly thanks to all the staff who made it possible. His care is superb and his health is well looked after something I couldn't do for him. I congratulate Forthbank Care Home for their ongoing care and attention. Many thanks on behalf of all the family.
An issue with a loose upper denture is not always addressed with a fixative - despite this being reported. This minor matter has been referred for dental advice and is pending. Speech is naturally badly affected and although I'm not present at mealtimes, I'm sure eating is also. Staff notice the above when my wife is asked to open her mouth for medication - loose denture drops and affecting closing and opening.
My wife has been a resident since January 2024, and in that time I have been very pleased with the care she has received. The staff have been exceptional and have also shown a lot of affection for my wife. The staff have been very supportive of both my son and I during a difficult time. I have found the facilities and events at Forthbank top class. I would also praise the manager and the admin staff for all they do for the residents.
Mum is being well looked after which gives the family peace of mind. The staff are wonderful with mum. The overall service is excellent. Her room is a bit tired but we appreciate funds are limited so we hope to remedy this ourselves. Mum has dementia and is deteriorating rapidly, but she appears settled and content. We have our 6 monthly review coming up which is great to get feedback from the staff on her care, but we know we can speak to someone at any time should we have any concerns.
I was very impressed by the care of the staff - well trained all of them. The food was impressive. The heat in the home was rather high for my liking. I think all mature people should have a visit of 2 days in a home to see how they are run. The fear of ending our days there would not be so extreme if one could really experience the care when we cannot do it ourselves.
My dad has been a resident of Forthbank Care Home for over a year. As a family, we are delighted with his care and treatment. We feel he is well cared for and looked after. Staff treat him with respect and dignity and kindness. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and understanding with all of the family. We love the way there are various events for the residents and how the home communicates by newsletter, telephone and face-to-face. We feel nothing is too much for them and they are kind and patient with both my father and the wider family.
My father-in-law went to Forthbank in June 23. He had spent five months in a rehabilitation centre, during which time she deteriorated a great deal. After moving to Forthbank, he really improved quite dramatically. He was well looked after in Forthbank. The staff were fabulous and really looked after my father-in-law.
My father was in Forthbank for two weeks respite, and from the minute we walked through the door, you could feel the lovely atmosphere. The staff were all so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. My father thoroughly enjoyed being spoilt. Although the rooms are spotless, the place needs to be refurbished. Would definitely recommend Forthbank.
I have always found my mother-in-law very well cared for. The staff are always around to ask any questions about anything at any time. I am very happy with the care my mother-in-law is receiving.
My gran spent her last year in Forthbank Care Home. She was in the later stages of dementia. Throughout her time there the staff were lovely, she had a room that was suitable for her generation, (not modern) but very clean, bedding was immaculate! And looked like it was cleaned daily, carpets were shampooed regularly. Food was amazing from what I saw and was great they encouraged all residents to sit at the dining tables together which is great for inclusion. once my gran reached End of life the care she outstanding, so dignified! They went above and beyond! We stayed there over her last 2/3 days/nights and they could not have looked after us any better, tea, coffee, biscuits and trays of sandwiches, The nurse is an Angel! I cannot thank her enough for the love and care she gave to myself and my daughters and niece the night my gran passed, Brenda and Gail were so amazing that evening and myself and girls will never forget their kindness.
The staff at Forthbank Care Home are very caring and very approachable. Our mother passed away here on the 5th of July and we cannot thank them enough for the care and compassion shown to her and the family in her final days. It is at difficult times like this that you realise how caring the staff are. They are over worked and underpaid but still treat their residents with care, compassion and dignity. Thank you all!
Many thanks to all the team at Forthbank! They made my mum's stay so comforting and secure. Also, making all her family feel happy knowing she was being so well cared for! A huge relief for us all! A huge thank you to all the team at Forthbank Care Home!
My Father went into the Care Home at the beginning of February 2023. Staff very good at welcoming us as a family, and Dad settled in very well. I would say in short the Strength of the Care Home is Staff, approachable, friendly and looking after Dad very well. Only weakness is Care Home looks a bit tired, needing a refurbishment.
The facilities are okay but I would like to see more action for the residents, I know this is hard as some of the residents move more than others. Also, it would be helpful if there was a leaflet to say and show what colour uniform stands for e.g. nurse or carer as when I ask a member of staff a question about some things I get a wrong answer or it does not matter. I get a feeling of being very confused as to who does what.
