View Full Details of Annan Court Care HomeThe home is starting to drop in standard of support to residents. Over the time my resident has been in, I see a difference. Shame as it's a lovely home. Also for care to staff, this is not due to manager, don't think the company support people's views, full of promises but will wait and see. I think seniors or deputy managers should be trained on giving insulin to residents.
My mothers window needs repair/replaced as it is difficult to close properly and it can be very draughty when windy. While my mother is well looked after by the staff, I feel her room is looking a bit tired. The lady in charge of the entertainment is very professional and tries to be inclusive of the residents when appropriate. The choice of food is well balance. Recently there has been a large turnover of staff but I am aware of steps to address this. My mother is settled and is happy with the day to day running of the home.
I am always impressed with the level of care when visiting my Granny, however hadn't been for a while when I went this week. The ladies dealing with her were compassionate and professional. She felt safe in their care. They are genuinely lovely people who care about their jobs. One lady in particular was amazing. People working in the care sector are heroes - the sooner the government recognise that, the better. They deserve to be paid so much more. Thank you to you all.
My mum has been a resident here for just over a year. She is cared for with true kindness and dedication. My mum has dementia which often makes tasks for the staff more demanding but they are not phased and show great professionalism. I am very pleased she is here.
I have no complaints about the home, the staff and management are really helpful, keep me well informed and up to date on everything, nothing is any trouble to them, I can get in touch anytime if I require any updates.
Mum has settled well although it did take some time. She has been here since Sept 2023. Food is good, although finds soup and sandwiches nearly every night is becoming boring. Disappointed there are very little activities.
The care and compassion shown to both resident and family in their hour of need goes well beyond expectation. Nothing too much trouble, be it day or night. Support absolutely amazing from all staff.
My father reluctantly had to go into the care home, as he eventually needed 24-hour care and support. Upon arrival, the staff quickly alleviated any issues or concerns my father had as to being a resident. My father's main concern was if he was not to be treated as an individual. My father took to the staff, laughing and joking with them and realised they treated him as a person who had stories to tell, a family of his own and a career prior to retirement. My father loved the food and would sample everything on the menu that day. Every member of staff treated my father as if he were a family member, with dignity and respect right up to his last day.
The day-to-day care of my mother is good and the staff show a high degree of care and dignity. They always treat my mother with dignity and friendliness and have time to talk to her and ensure she is comfortable. The activities that are organised within the home are of a high standard. The manager has recently been replaced and isn't as friendly or communicative as the previous manager.
Staff are very friendly. Home is clean. I visit my sister-in-law every Thursday and she is very happy with the care. Plenty of activities. Top marks for this home.
My mum spent 3 months in hospital before moving to Annan Court just over a month ago. The difference in her is amazing. She has settled really well and looks healthier, has put weight on and is so happy there. The staff are lovely, caring and attentive, nothing at all is any trouble to them. They have lots of different activities which mum really enjoys, especially the music ones. Her room has great views over the countryside to the Solway. Whenever I visit I'm made to feel very welcome by staff and residents and also Fluffy the resident cat. Such a homely atmosphere at Annan Court and a big weight off my mind knowing that mum is well looked after, happy and settled.
My dad sadly passed away last week and I want to thank the staff and management at Annan Court Care Home for the loving care and attention my dad received in the last years of his life. They made his life a lot easier to endure. You were his second family and he had grown fond of so many of you. We were so touched and emotional that the staff lined up at reception as he left the care home, such a wonderful mark of respect and dignity. My dad would have loved that gesture.
Since my nana has been in Annan Court Care Home her health and wellbeing has improved so much. She is so happy and enjoys all the activities on offer. She has got that sparkle back in her eyes that she seemed to have lost after being isolated at home with difficulty getting out. The staff are always friendly and pleasant on the phone and in person. The last time we visited the lady even offered us and our children a drink which knowing how busy you all are nothing seems a bother. The home has a nice atmosphere when we visit. The social media page is excellent for family members near and far and we love seeing what's been going on in the care home. It's such a relief as a family knowing how happy and well looked after Nana is and we can't thank you enough.
We couldn't have asked for a better health care service provided for my mum. The duty of care given towards her and all the other residents surpassed our "ideas" of a care home. They provided a very clean and healthy atmosphere with great attention to personal wellbeing. They also provide, a shop, library, gardens which the residents can look after and daily activities from singing, games, and activities which help stimulate the mind and keep them active within the community. I give Annan Court care home 5 stars and a big double thumbs up from us. Keep up the good work and we appreciate everything you do for Mum.
During the very difficult times we have been experiencing recently with Covid 19, I have felt very secure in the fact that my mother-in-law was being well cared for and that all her needs were being met. I received regular telephone updates and whenever I telephoned I was always greeted by a friendly and helpful member of staff.
Because of Covid 19, can't really comment but everything seems to be run very well under the circumstances.
My mum has been in Annan Court for 1 1/2 years now and we find the staff very approachable with any needs or concerns we have. We have no complaints she is looked after very well. Any birthdays or occasions they go the extra mile. One thing they could do with would be some new furniture (chairs) for residents and guests for a more comfortable visit.
My wife has been a resident for nearly 3 years. All I can do is praise Annan Court and the staff who are as much friends as carers.
During the lockdown due to Covid 19, Annan Court staff have been excellent in keeping us in touch with our loved ones. While it has been stressful not seeing my mum I know she is being well cared for with plenty of photos and phone calls. Nothing is too much bother for all the staff. These girls and boys deserve a great deal of credit and go above and beyond their jobs.
My husband and I do not visit Annan Court very often, due to our own circumstances, and we usually go unannounced. We feel confident that our relative is very well cared for. The staff are friendly and courteous and overall we have no concerns.
