View Full Details of Benarty View Care HomeAlthough Dad only had a week at Benarty View Care Home before he sadly passed, he was surrounded by genuine care, compassion and love during his days there. I witnessed at first hand the excellent care he received and know that his final days were calm, peaceful and comfort filled as a result. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at Benarty either for Dad or us, his family. The entire team worked closely and seamlessly together to make Dad's experience outstanding. Sadly he wasn't there long enough to become fully part of the community that very clearly exists at Benarty. I cannot fault anything about our or Dad's experience and will be eternally grateful for their care of Dad as he passed. Thank you.
Excellent care home, brilliant all round. 10. out of 10. There is nothing more to say. ok, I think this is easily the best nursing/care home in this area. This care home has two of the best manageresses in this business. The staff are top-notch in all of their duties. I have every confidence in the Management team.
My wife moved into Lomond Dementia Unit at Benarty View Kelty on the 17th of November 2023 and was a resident there until my wife very suddenly passed away on the 8th of January 2024. In the short time that my wife spent in Benarty Veiw, I have to say that my wife was treated with dignity, respect, kindness, compassion, and a level of care and professionalism from all the staff which was truly exceptional and I cannot thank them enough for all that they did for my wife during her stay at Benarty Veiw. All staff involved in my wife’s care are a true credit to Benarty View and indeed Four Seasons Care.
My father was challenging because of his Alzheimer's combined with a strong personality, he found the transition of going into nursing care extremely difficult. The staff made every effort to get to know dad and what his needs were. Despite his reluctance to join in activities, the staff were good at encouraging him but it soon became evident that dad's safe place was his own room. The staff were happy to spend time with dad in his room and nothing was too much trouble. When he became very ill and was coming to the end of his life the nursing care was exemplary and the kindness from all healthcare professionals towards him and the family was excellent. Their work ethic as carers and the empathy shown was nothing but the best. The managers take great pride in the home they run and the quality of care that everyone provides. There is a strong family feel to the whole environment.
Whilst my aunt has only been in Benarty View for three weeks, I can see such a difference in her physical appearance and her demeanour. Prior to being transferred to the home, she was in a hospital side room and I felt that her health was going downhill rapidly however, since she has been transferred to Benarty View, she has come on leaps and bounds and is looking and feeling far better than she has done for some time. This of course could be down to the homemade food which looks delicious. The manager and team have all been amazing and nothing is too much trouble. I feel that she's very well cared for in the home, she's safe, happy and content and that's all anyone can ask for.
Benarty Care Home is a warm, inviting and very caring environment. The manager and her wonderful staff helped my husband through the process of ensuring his mum received the best care possible. At 92 years of age with progressing dementia, nursing care and social support will enable her to have a quality of life not possible living alone. We live in Canada. It is a huge relief to know that my mother-in-law is safe and well nourished and in a stimulating environment. Her room was beautifully decorated when she arrived. The manager ensured her tastes were taken into account. We are able to see updates on the social media page. As a registered nurse myself I have visited many care homes. Benarty View is exceptional. We are so thankful and feel very blessed that my mother-in-law has a wonderful new place to call home.
My father has recently moved to Benarty View Care Home due to closure of his previous care home. He was welcomed warmly, with friendly staff providing the support he needed helping him to settle. Care was taken to introduce him to others with whom he could chat. His room is well set up, including his own toilet/washbasin. There is a choice of lounge, in one of which he eats his meals, but he can also have meals in his room. When he had a fall and needed to go to hospital, staff kept me well informed, stayed with him until he was admitted, and went back with items he needed on the following evening when he was kept in. Communication with the home is good.
Benarty View provides consistently high standards of care for my father-in-law, whom we see regularly. He enjoys a raft of activities and is provided with lovely meals and lots of drinks to stay hydrated. The home is always clean, with refurbishments taking place. There is a large, fantastic garden that residents and visitors can use. The manager and all staff are very welcoming with very good communication channels. All in all, my father-in-law is very well looked after, both physically and mentally, which is very reassuring for all of the family.
Mum has been a resident in Benarty View for a year and has been very content. She settled in well after her initial quarantine. She has found the staff generally very caring and helpful and my concerns have been dealt with promptly by the management. The visiting arrangements were very well organised during the Covid crisis and we continued to visit twice a week.
I wanted to write this review to say thank you to Benarty View Care Home staff for the excellent care they provide to my papa. It’s been comforting to know my papa has been in safe hands during the pandemic. The staff at Benarty are always very friendly and welcoming when visiting my papa, and my papa is very complimentary of the care he receives! The home is always very clean, and it’s nice to see the recent refurbishments that have taken place. I’m always amazed at the amount of activities that are put on for the residents. My papa has a busier social life than me! Thanks again for all the hard work and care you provide.
I cannot rate this home highly enough. The change in my mum since being here is amazing, she is happy and cared for by all members of the staff from the manager and her great team. We also are made to feel at home and are welcomed on each visit by a member of the caring staff. It has taken a lot for us to put trust in a care home but we have no worries with Benarty View, they do an excellent job and nothing is too much trouble. At my mum’s 90th birthday they put on a wonderful buffet and all sang happy birthday, brilliant, it made a special day memorable for us.
I am happy with the care my mum has received since coming to Benarty View. The staff are always very polite and friendly every time I visit my mum. Nothing is too much bother. I am delighted to see my mum as happy.
Benarty staff and management give 100% to help with anything that is required to make my wife's stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Nothing too big or small to be dealt with in the most pleasant manner.
My mum went into Benarty View during lockdown and was initially very anxious as I hadn’t had a proper look around the home before she went there so was very unsure if I was doing the right thing for my mum. The management has been great, taking on board any comments or concerns and dealing with them straight away and making my mum feel at home and I have built up a trust with them now that my mum is being well looked after. All the staff are very friendly and really care for the residents. They have a great activities co-ordinator who organising a good variety of activities to keep them occupied. Last week was the first time I had been in the home and was really pleased with the facilities and my mum's room. It was great to be able to visit my mum in her room for a little while, with all the PPE. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I was not allowed to give her a hug, but hopefully soon when we have all had the vaccine I will be able to give her a big hug
I am in awe at the care, love and nurture my mother has received since arriving at Benarty View Care Home. The manager is highly professional and the nursing team are exceptional. All the carers are highly skilled and are genuinely compassionate. I am safe in the knowledge my mother is loved and supported by the team around her.
I arrived here 3/4 weeks ago. The service and facilities are excellent. The staff are really friendly. I was taken out to see my 89-year-old mum which was excellent and greatly appreciated as I had not seen my mum for a year.
My dad moved to Benarty View after several months in hospital. He has made great progress in terms of his physical and mental health wellbeing. He now walks with support receiving the right action at the right time to keep him in good health. Although we’ve not had an opportunity to visit indoors yet due to Covid restrictions we can observe, via a private Facebook group, a wide range of social activities offered. Residents look happy and engaged with each other and with staff. Special occasions are celebrated and enjoyed. The care home is very well led with welcoming and friendly staff. Communication has been excellent. This has been key whilst my dad settled as a new resident and during the pandemic. Most importantly my dad reports being happy and well cared for. He is treated as an individual and with respect. Staff take time to listen to his needs and stories. It is so reassuring to know that my dad is safe and being so well looked after.
The way Benarty View has handled the communication between residents and their families during the pandemic has been excellent. The lockdown was announced and implemented before many other homes - hopefully helping to prevent the virus from getting in. A closed social media group was set up, and it has been very comforting for me to see how well my uncle is being cared for. It has been particularly gratifying to see the many indoor activities being undertaken to shorten these long days and the outdoor entertainment which has allowed relatives who live close enough to watch and listen to from a safe distance at the same time as the residents.
The Management and staff have been absolutely amazing during the lockdown. The residents have been cared for so well and they have been treated to a huge variety of activities and entertainment to keep their spirits up. A closed social media group was recently introduced and many lovely pictures and videos have been regularly posted. This is such a comfort to the resident's families, particularly at this time. The Management encouraged us to send letters and photos to the residents by email. These are printed off and delivered very quickly. I feel my Mum could not be in better hands and thank all the staff for everything they do.
From the moment my mum went to Benarty View she was welcomed warmly and has been treated with respect as one of the Benarty 'family'. The staff quickly got to know my mum's likes and dislikes and her need for reassurance and cuddles, which has been especially important during Covid-19 when we couldn't visit to give hugs in person. The manager and staff are happy to chat through any questions we have and readily give updates on how Mum is or will find out if they haven't been working with her. The residents are treated as individuals, with many activities organised for them to take part if they wish to, doing hair and nails or bingo or art. Staff will dance with my Mum because she loves to dance. There is a genuine sense of care from staff to residents, and it is lovely to observe their interactions with each one. Rooms can be personalised to keep up individuality. The environment is homely. The family are encouraged to call Mum and video calling has been really helpful until we can visit.
