View Full Details of Camilla HouseMy wife was moved here 6 months ago. The care that she receives has been and continues to be excellent. I have found all of the staff to be respectful, helpful and very friendly. The staff always keep me informed of any changes concerning my wife's medical needs and are dealt with promptly. The meals look tasty and the menu varied. Juice and cups of tea etc along with snacks and fruit are readily available throughout the day. The staff do a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances. Nothing appears to be too much trouble to try and make my wife's stay there as comfortable as possible. My wife enjoys the trips out once a week to various local locations as well as getting her hair done every 2-4 weeks by a visiting hairdresser. There always seems to be some form of activity planned for most days. I applaud the management of this home as they have an open door policy to discuss anything at anytime. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone.
My aunt spent about 4 years at Camilla House, Auchtertool, Fife. I am so glad that my Dad found and chose Auchtertool's Camilla House for his care. It has been outstanding. The staff were wonderful. Communication was excellent, especially given how difficult my Dad and I are to contact. I simply can't speak highly enough of the staff. Simple as that.
My Mum sadly was only at Camilla for a short time. During this, she received great care. Her wishes were respected at all times, staff listened to her. Mum was very frail and staff went above and beyond to try and tempt her with food and drink. Mum even said the young lads on the night shift keep wanting to feed me. During her last days, she was kept comfortable and pain-free thanks to the nurses. Throughout I was also treated with nothing but kindness.
Year two review. The care Mum receives is excellent. All the staff are respectful, courteous and helpful to everyone. They take care of Mum's needs with nothing being too much trouble. Mum's medical needs are taken care of promptly and we are kept informed. The meals are tasty, and cups of tea and snacks are plentiful. Excellent laundry service and the home is bright, clean and fresh. All this is of course down to a well run care home by the management and by the fully committed team behind her. The gardens are lovely with plenty of outside seating with well-maintained planted areas. The summer house is very nice, great for a day when it's a wee bit cool outside although I think they would benefit from some extra funding to give the summer house some home comforts. Overall my brother and I are delighted with Mum's care. The staff have been a lifeline to our family and we cannot praise them enough. Would highly recommend. (I only dropped facility star because of work needed on summer house)
I have reviewed Camilla House before and gave a great review which was thoroughly deserved. Since then unfortunately Mum died after a long and happy life. The last three years spent at Camilla where she felt safe and secure and yet again my siblings and I cannot praise or thank all the staff enough! Mum was put on palliative care near the end and the nursing staff and carers were superb in the care of Mum and us also. They called the doctor and funeral home to save us the upset. I cannot thank them enough. I definitely recommend Camilla House to anyone.
My aunt has been in Camilla House for about three years and I have always found the care given to her absolutely awesome. I find all the staff to be really professional and friendly and nothing is too much for them, no matter how busy they are. I always recommend this care home to anyone that asks.
I have always found all staff to be polite, courteous and respectful at Camilla House.
I could not rate Camilla House Care Home highly enough. The home is immaculate, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and most importantly, my dad is happy and clearly being well cared for. The staff are very attentive and keep us informed of everything/anything that is happening.
My mother is well looked after and the staff are really good with her. They understand her needs even though her communication is very limited. The care home manager is running a very organised home during the most difficult of circumstances. The home is showing signs of needing maintenance. This was brought to Kingdom Homes attention but they ignored it. Going back to the staff, I think they do a fantastic job and they are fully committed to making life as best as it can be for residents.
My dad has stayed at Camilla House Care Home for nearly a year now, after spending five months in hospital with a physical disability. He settled in well and got to know most of the dedicated staff quite quickly. He particularly enjoyed sitting out in the beautiful gardens in the summer months reading his books. He phones family most days and his favourite topic of conversation is always the fantastic food he receives. Dad is comfortable and happy and his needs are well taken care of. This gives us, as a family, peace of mind. We cannot express how grateful we are to all staff and management at Camilla House.
I have nothing but praise and thanks for all the staff do for my wife.
Staff were pleasant on arrival and followed all Covid precautions before entry.
The decision for my mum to go into full-time care was heartbreaking but on entering the care home I knew she would be happy living here. All her personal care needs are carried out with dignity, she is happy and has put on weight. She doesn't like when staff leave but soon calms down when another friendly face appears. She doesn't always like food on the menu but they will always make an alternative. Mum loves the activities but also likes to sit in her room watching TV. Mum's medical needs are met at a high standard and I'm always informed either by phone or email. Overall, we are both very happy.
Due to my wife on palliative care, she is being well looked after by management and staff.
General care good. Carers and staff helpful.
