View Full Details of Earlsferry House Care HomeI visit my sister (92) regularly and always find her so content. The reason because she is so well cared for. The food is so varied. The staff are so welcoming, kind and caring and nothing is a bother. The "Home" is like home, lovely rooms and spotlessly clean. Everything is well maintained.
It is now 6 months since my father moved into Earlsferry House. All the staff are so friendly and caring and he is very settled and well looked after. He loves the view from his room over the garden and dunes and enjoys the exercise classes! If there are any issues I am regularly up-dated which I really appreciate as I live in the south of England. It's a hard decision for a family to make moving a loved one into a care home, but the management and staff made the transition much easier for all of us. Thank you!
Mum has been a resident since 2022 and receives a high level of care. I haven't personally been able to visit since 2022 as I live overseas, but Mum has constant family visitors and friends. The home is always very welcoming and warm, and the staff attend to every need and give care and attention. We get frequent calls and updates on Mum. We are so happy to have her there being looked after so well.
Extremely good care.Staff amazing. Food good. Brilliant atmosphere. Rooms very cosy and well decorated. Overall a really good place to be.
I feel very fortunate that there was a place available for my mum at Earlsferry House Care Home. It is very homely and friendly with caring staff and mum has settled in very well since she moved in a year ago. She particularly enjoys spending time in the conservatory and looking out into the garden and sand-dunes. Her needs are well met and I am always kept informed of any health issues. Mum is always telling me not to worry about her as she is being well looked after and this has made a big difference to our lives as we know that mum is getting the best of care and has in fact blossomed since she has moved to Earlsferry Care Home.
I am immensely grateful to all at Earlsferry House for their kindness to my father since he moved in six weeks ago. Despite his advancing dementia, it's clear that he knows and feels he belongs here, is valued and cared for, and that this is a home, in every real sense. Carers show a connection to the residents, with patience, good humour, and a great depth of understanding of their needs. The atmosphere here is relaxing and restful - the house in its beautiful setting is kept immaculately - with a good balance of activity and change of scene. The quality of nursing care is impressive. Ailments are picked up, addressed, and communicated. My father's state of health and general well-being have improved considerably since his arrival here. Without exception, every person who works here - nurses, carers, cleaners, management or kitchen staff - interacts with and relates to the residents on a personal level. Their commitment shows.
Earlsferry House has seen dramatic improvements in the past couple of years, when my elderly mother became a resident. Undoubtedly its greatest asset is the staff - from the carers to the kitchen staff and cleaners, the nurses and the "front of house"! They are without exception dedicated, caring and committed. They clearly form attachments to the residents and treat them as they'd wish their own loved ones to be cared for. While the property is an old building and not purpose-built, it has been adapted to cope. Its position on the seafront and delightful garden bring joy to the residents.
My mum developed an infection and - as always - I was kept informed every step of the way on the status of her condition. The staff are always kind and clear in their communication, and always compassionate towards my mum. Thankfully, my mum is growing stronger and better every day due to their care and expertise. Every time I visit my mum I' m always given a warm welcome and mum is well presented and content.
Dad was on respite for a week. I knew from the first instance Dad was in safe hands, and I could go away for a hard-earned break with peace of mind. The place was very clean, and the staff was very welcoming, from the manager, carers, kitchen staff and domestic staff. All of Dad's needs were met, as the staff went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Ealsferry House Care Home.
My father has been a resident of this care home for about 8 years and they have been the absolute best to him with all his care needs. They took the time and they became his second family, I will always be glad for that. My father passed away at the end of February and I can’t praise all the managers and staff for how they looked after him in his last few weeks/days. They gave me and my family the help and support we needed to get through a very difficult time. We couldn’t have done it without them. Just want to say a massive thank you to you all.
My father needed to go into care and we were very pleased there was a place available at Earlsferry House as we had asked our friends and it is the care home recommended in our area. The staff are welcoming and friendly from the moment you come through the door. We feel he is well looked after and is kept clean. His room is nice and bright and also fresh and clean. We feel we are able to speak to staff about his care as they care about him too.
My parents moved into Earlsferry House Care Home in May and August of 2021. From the start, everyone has been kind, patient and fun! It is not an easy transition to make, but we have experienced support and friendship from the Earlsferry House Care Home team.
My mum has spent the last two years at The Earlsferry Nursing Home and both my mum and I know how great the staff are and how well looked after she is. At what can be a very distressing time the staff have made Mum feel very welcome and brought a smile back to her face. The interaction with the staff and other residents has been key in ensuring Mum feels part of a community.
Our mum, after suffering a stroke, has severely constrained mobility and is unable to get up and walk around and her care is complicated. This means she cannot take part in all the activities that are on offer or fully take advantage of the food prepared, due to her inability to swallow solid food. That is a shame as the food is of pretty high quality. Despite these difficulties, she is very well cared for at Earlsferry House. The home is very well managed with the residents' well-being placed at the centre of everything they do. The care teams are extremely well-led and display a caring, professional attitude. They keep a careful eye on any more complex care needs, working closely with specialists should any issues need to be monitored. The atmosphere in the home is good. Residents' clothes are kept clean. The home itself is clean too and well maintained. I would definitely recommend Earlsferry House Care Home based on my own experience of it in the 18 months since my mum arrived there.
My mother tells me every time I visit that she is delighted with the food, staff and general care that she receives. She says she simply could not ask for more. Which makes the fact of her illness a lot easier on her family. I have no problem writing this review as it's simply the truth.
My relative has been in the care home for nearly 6 years. She has always been treated with care and compassion owing to her medical condition. I find the staff caring and respectful also friendly to visitors. The ambiance and care of the building is also a credit to the staff. My relative has medical conditions that are taken seriously and any issues are dealt with promptly.
My mother lives in the home and the staff are all friendly and look after her very well. If they ever have any concerns with her health, I am notified right away. She has a nice room which is kept very clean.
Ever since my first enquiry to Earlsferry House about my Mum, the Manager has been very welcoming and helpful. Mum moved to Earlsferry during the pandemic, and despite the difficulties that were created, the Manager and her staff have treated Mum as if she's one of their own family and Mum even partied with other residents and staff into the wee small hours of New Years Day! Recently, with the restrictions starting to ease, the Manager held a meeting with relatives to thank them for their patience during the restrictions and to outline ideas for new activities and seek views. The residents already have organised activities, and the ideas for further activities and improvements sound very promising. I have peace of mind knowing that Mum is in the best and safest place with people who genuinely care for her. I can't thank everyone in Earlsferry House enough and would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone considering professional care for their loved one.
My experience with the management and staff at Earlsferry House has been nothing short of amazing from the minute my friend arrived there. They have treated her with such dignity and respect but more than that kind and gentle care. The staff are indeed like a family and treat every resident as part of it. The standard of medical care given and overseen by one member of staff, in particular, is beyond professional and her team mirror her standard. The manager is very hands-on and I have yet to find a time when I couldn't speak to them on the family's behalf. Overall these people have a calling and would highly recommend this home and its family to anyone wishing the best for a loved one. I can't thank them enough on behalf of the family and all friends for their continued support.
Can't thank the wonderful staff at Earlsferry House enough for the fantastic care they give my dad. They treat him like a member of their family. He has a great laugh with them, which is very important to me as Dad enjoys the banter. I think they do a great job with managing his illness, Dad can be difficult at times because his MS makes him feel like he is being touched when he isn't and it can make him grumpy but the staff are good at turning things around and making laugh instead. Thank you all for everything you do.
