View Full Details of West ParkMy dad was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease and after a hospital stay was ready to leave and move to a home that ensured the best care. As a nurse in a nursing home, I was so dedicated to finding the care I was used to giving in my care home. The whole team were so involved from day one and introduced themselves to Dad, from maintenance making sure his family pictures were in the right place, to cooks and cleaners (apologies, I appreciate that I'm not using the right terminology) care staff and nurses. Dad had difficulty communicating but they all took so much time to speak with him and so quickly involved him in the West Park family. As his daughters we were given so much support and myself and my sister also felt included in their family. I will always be truly grateful for everyone who made Dad's transition into the West Park family such a caring loving time for our dad.
My mum has stayed here a few times. It's a lovely family-run business. All staff are brilliant including the maintenance man. The rooms are lovely and clean. Plenty of activities going on. Nothing too much trouble. Well done staff keep up the good work you very much appreciated
Unfortunately my sisters stay in West Park was quite short. Only 6 months. During this time it was a great pleasure visiting her. It was like walking into a family home. All the staff from the cleaners, chef to the manager and owner treated us like part of the family. All the staff said how much they loved going to work because it was like family, and it truly showed in their care and attention to the residents and families. During my sisters last few weeks the care she received, and in fact the care we also as family received, was above and beyond anything we could have asked for. It certainly helped us through the trauma of losing our loved one. We can never thank everyone enough for how we were treated.
