View Full Details of Grandholm Care HomeMy mum was a resident for a short period before she sadly passed, the staff welcomed her upon arrival and cared for her with dignity and respect during the short period she was a resident, sadly she passed away. The care she received from the staff was amazing and she was very comfortable when her health declined due to all the personalised care the staff delivered, I am grateful to all staff at Grandholm, myself and my family cannot thank them enough.
Mum was only in Grandholm for a little over three weeks but the care and support she received was more than we could have hoped for. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and made Mum feel at home and cared for. Thank you all so much. It meant so much to me and the family.
It has been 4 months now since my dad went to Grandholm and all I can say is well done to all, from his first night till now he has been reassured and taken care of every minute of the day. All the staff from nurses to carers, management and office staff (not forgetting the handypersons) have been absolutely brilliant, making me and my family feel very welcome every visit and informing us every step of the way on dad's medical changes, activities etc. It's not an easy decision to put a relative into a care home but Grandholm has made the transition so much easier for us all. Thank you so much.
My mum has been a resident for over two years now and I can’t fault the care she gets I have peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. She really enjoys taking part in the activities. She loves getting her nails done and is very happy there.
My Mum has been in Grandholm care home for over a year now as sadly she has dementia, and the level of care she has received has been excellent and can’t be faulted. All management and staff are really helpful and polite. I would have no hesitation in recommending Grandholm to anyone who is looking to re-home their loved one(s).
You always get a warm, friendly welcome when you visit. Staff always happy to give me an update of how my mum is doing. It is great to see the photos of the activities that the residents have been getting up to.
Grandholm Care Home is very warm and welcoming all the staff are very helpful and friendly. It gives us great piece of mind that that mum is so well cared for. The Wednesday cafe is a great success as Mum really enjoys it.
My mother was a resident of Grandholm Care Home for 18 months till her passing in November 2023. The manager and her team looked after her and made her so comfortable from the first day till the last. We were fortunate to be with Mother at the end! I would recommend Grandholm with no hesitation or reservations for the care of a loved one!
It is only over 6 months ago that it was us as a family looking at care homes for our dear Mum who has dementia. And hand on heart we all feel so lucky that Mum is being looked after at Grandholm. The very first thing we noticed on our initial visit was the laughter, and welcoming happy and friendly atmosphere. Every member of staff is so kind and it has put all our minds at ease knowing that Mum is cared for by such lovely genuine caring people. Then there is the amazing communication, always keeping us informed and discussing any changes in her care which we all really appreciate. We cannot praise Grandholm highly enough and it’s thanks to each and every one of this amazing team that we continue to feel supported as a family. Thank you all.
Dad became a resident of Grandholm in August 2021 when covid restrictions were making it difficult for everyone. However, the staff at Grandholm make everyone welcome and gradually activities and socialising have opened up and it has become a second family to Dad. We cannot fault the care that he has received since moving in. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we're really happy that Dad's in safe hands here. When Mum's needs changed and she needed the support of being in a care home there was no doubt in our minds that Grandholm was the best place and she became a resident in April 2022. Although Mum's needs are different from Dad's, she is also treated with the best of care, great understanding and patience from all the staff. She has settled in very well, made some friends and gets involved in activities. As a family, we are delighted that Mum and Dad are in the same care home receiving the best of care. We would have no hesitation in recommending this care home. Thank you so much.
My husband has been in this care home for almost five years. His care is second to none. The staff are loving and kind and so good to him, I cannot fault them. My family and I are very fond of them. Keep up the good work.
My Dad has been a resident in Grandholm Care Home since September 2018 and during all that time I have been totally satisfied with my Dad's care. The staff are brilliant and take his welfare very seriously. They take the time to get to know him and make him as comfortable as possible. I also find my visits very pleasant which makes things easier for me and my family.
I’ve seen such an improvement in my mum since she’s been admitted. All the staff have been really nice and helpful and made such a difference to my mum. I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of moving as the support is fantastic.
Just had my mum's care review. Very detailed. Took me through all of Mum's notes and showed me just how many activities she has been involved in, both in and out of the home. She has flourished since she arrived. Thanks to all the team on Laurels.
My mum has only been a resident since October 2021 but in that short time, I have nothing but praise for all staff involved. She has onset dementia and the staff are very understanding and patient with her. All her needs are taken care of with no issues from me. I am constantly being updated when required regarding my mum's welfare. I was kept updated during any lockdowns during Covid and could phone at any time to check myself. A big thank you to all staff at Grandholm.
I couldn't wish for a better care home for my father. All staff, whether it be office, admin or nursing, are absolutely a joy to engage with. Nothing is too much trouble at any time I have spoken up, been in and seen them, they always seem very happy to be around and working and to answer any questions that one has. I knew this care home was special when I looked around with a view to finding care for my father. The staff held hands with the residents and spoke so beautifully to them and led them on their way along the corridors. My father has been in this wonderful establishment for six months now and they seem to give me great ideas to boost his happiness here. Nothing is too much trouble in making the residents' time here a happy one, once they get to know what makes each one happy.
Top-down, can't talk highly enough of the care provided but as a family, the security from the staff provided us with peace of mind for her care. Our mother was treated with dignity and encouraged to mix. When visiting, all staff had a smile and welcome for us. Can't believe how lucky to find such a caring team and wonderful care home.
My wife, unfortunately for her and I, has been living in Grandholm Care Home for the past four years. She has dementia and I can honestly say during her stay to date, I have full confidence in Grandholm management and floor staff and in the care they are providing her, it gives me peace of mind. My wife having dementia has been hard for me to cope with but that caring bunch have helped me deal with it and still are. Thank you all and take care.
My mum became a resident in May 2018. She was on the second floor but on saying there wasn't much interaction between residents, Mum was immediately moved to the ground floor which she loved. Her mental capacity was 100% but she needed 24-hour medical care. The nurses and carers were amazing, so competent and caring. Mum loved her meals and up until a week before she died, she still walked with her Zimmer through to the dining room. All through lockdown we were kept updated on Mum's welfare. The staff in all departments couldn't do enough for Mum and the family.
My mum was resident in Grandholm Care Home for almost four years until she passed away very recently. The manager and her team of staff were caring, professional and kind during the length of my mum's stay. Her room was comfortable and always kept clean and the facilities are good. The Covid lockdown was a very difficult time but staff rose to this challenge to ensure the safety of residents and contact with family by appropriate means. I have found the staff to be approachable, friendly, cheerful and able to deal sensitively with any issues.
