View Full Details of Drumdarroch House Care HomeMy mom moved to Drumdarroch from a previous really bad experience in care. The difference is absolutely amazing. Like night and day! Calm, efficient, bright, cheerful and well managed. Albeit early days and mom is not ready to engage in activities. I am sure with the support offered she will soon be joining in. I really feel we have found the ideal home for my mom and look forward to lasting relationship with all the staff at Drumdarroch.
Very well cared for in her final days. Made very comfortable and staff very caring and efficient.
Unbelievable. I was so taken back by the close team work. I now have a real understanding of the dedication of the staff members I now feel so much more relaxed about my wife's life and the amazing care given to all residents.
I have been visiting Drumdarroch for several years with children from a nearby nursery setting, to share intergenerational sessions with the residents which are enjoyed, and engaged in, by all generations. The staff have always supported our visits and we feel welcomed, nothing is ever too much trouble. Seeing relationships form between children and residents is wonderful! I, along with the children look forward to our weekly visits, thank you so much for accommodating us!
My mum has been a resident for a few months and the care she has been given has been great, everyone is very kind friendly and helpful when asking questions.
I can honestly say that all the staff at Drumdarroch Home managers, nurses, carers, cleaners right through to the maintenance person are a fantastic team, so helpful, and nothing is too much bother for them. The home also has a very high standard of cleanliness. There always seems to be some sort of entertainment/ activities going on as well with plenty of food and refreshments throughout the day. I would thoroughly recommend Drumdarroch to anyone looking for a care home for themselves or a relative.
Since my mum became a resident, she and all our family have been made to feel so welcome and included. Their motto is 'If this is your mums new home, it is also yours' - and that is exactly how we have been made to feel. The management, nurses and carers always stop to say hello and engage in conversation. Nothing is ever too much for them. They have certainly made the hard decision so much easier.
As my mother only just moved into Drumdarrock House this review is based on her welcome. The manager and staff have been most helpful and welcoming. My mother's room was arranged by ourselves but there was a lovely welcome card and flowers given for her arrival. Since then we have had only the best attentive updates on my mother's current stay and very grateful to have found her a room.
Welcoming! No matter when I visit my aunt I am always made very welcome. Drumdarroch has been a "live-saver" not only for my aunt but myself also. She has such good care, that I feel safe to go visit my family without worrying about her safety. It's been treated with a makeover recently so it is modern, fresh and a good space wherever you turn. All the staff are friendly and professional. As well as indoors the outdoors are tidy, pleasant and now solar panels too!
Since the new manager started, the home as a happy atmosphere, the staff are happier and there have been lots of new things such as coffee mornings, silent auction sales etc. The manager is very approachable, always has time to speak with you and always goes about and interacting with residents.
The staff are always on hand to help if needed. Areas are always clean. Activities are always on for residents. Food is good.
Moving my grandmother into Drumdarroch was a very good experience, the staff were kind and allowed us to set the room up as we wanted. The welcome card and gifts were very nice and my gran is being well looked after. The food looks and smells delicious with plenty on offer at each meal time. Both nurses I have met are really lovely and all staff are very much resident-led, so if my gran wants to have a long lie this is no problem. We are only one week into her staying at Drumdarroch but so far it has all been very positive. Even though my gran is maybe not the easiest person right now, as a family we have been kept in the loop and reassured at every step.
Going into the home to see my mum it is a better-feeling environment and friendlier staff. The management are always ready to speak to you and answer all our queries.
My mother is being cared for with dignity, and respect, and she feels safe and is very happy with the kindness and empathy shown to her by all the team here. The facilities are scrupulously clean and the friendliness and warmth of the staff have been consistently outstanding. Thank you.
The quality of care is excellent. The staff are knowledgeable, caring and helpful in all aspects of care.
Every member of staff I have met have been extraordinary, the staff really care about the residents. They have made it a lovely little community. I go in with my dog as a therapet and we are so warmly welcomed. Everytime I go I see little touches and improvements there is a real buzz about what can we do next. How they keep it so clean, I have no idea! We go in after lunch and my dog struggles for find a crumb!
The family was so impressed by the sympathetic and compassionate way the staff managed the recent inevitable decline and death of my 95-year-old aunt, who had been a resident for almost five years. This included providing extra support and care for my 93-year-old mother, who is also a resident. That extra care has continued, and not just for my mother but for the wider family, too. We are always made to feel welcome no matter how busy the staff appear to be, and we appreciate the patience and the friendly approach of everyone in every role. The quality of the food is astonishing. Attending a care-review meeting, I was served a delicious French patisserie and asked which delicatessen had provided them. It turned out that these had been created in the home's own kitchen. I am notified about any concerns that the staff have about my mother's health or spirits, which gives the wider family confidence that she lives now in a safe and caring environment.
My friend received outstanding care at Drumdarroch House Care Home. All the staff have been very professional and welcoming making everyone feel at home. Especially important to acknowledge the professionalism, integrity and advice given during end-of-life care.
Lots of improvements to the home itself, for example new slip free wooden flooring throughout the home and new blinds in each room. All this was done quickly and smoothly with little disruption. Also lots of person to person improvements taking account of residents, staff and relatives opinions, for example making playing games for the residents bespoke to what they like rather than a group take it or leave it. Lots of activities to promote the home for example bake days which raised funds for the home and was very enjoyable to participate in.
Since new management has been in place, I see a positive change at Drumdarroch House. Staff appear to be happier, and there has been a positive change in record keeping. I feel happier regarding my Mum’s care. I feel if I have any concerns, I can approach the staff, or manager and feel that my concerns will be listened to and addressed. I am my mum’s voice, she is unable to speak for herself.
