View Full Details of Wyndwell Nursing HomeMy sister has a learning disability and is a lot younger than most of the other residents. Due to her learning disability she requires one-to-one support which the home is unable to provide on a daily basis. She also has epilepsy which requires structured times when medication is given and advice from Neurologists to be followed and not overruled by management and local health practice doctors. The care staff are excellent and work so hard in a setting that is understaffed. They are so kind and really ensure that all residents are well cared for and treated with respect. Wyndwell has improved on staff numbers in the last few months and communicate more regularly on health matters which is a great improvement.
The most outstanding aspect of Wyndwell is the staff. The manager is excellent and leads by example. Professional, kind and caring. Her team are totally focused on the residents' care. I would not hesitate to recommend Wyndwell to anyone who has to make the heartbreaking decision to move a loved one into full-time care.
Excellent, caring staff who have looked after my Mum really well and treated her with dignity, empathy and kindness making a huge difference to her physical and mental wellbeing. There are lots of activities which all residents are encouraged to participate in. Food is excellent and there's always choices available.
Homely, friendly and very supportive staff. The management team are very approachable, and I like the fact I can turn up whenever I can to see my mother. I have seen such a difference in my mother's temperament and health since she moved in, in October last year. The home is always warm and clean, and the staff are welcoming. It has taken alot of the stress off my shoulders knowing my mother is getting the care and attention she needs, and my visits with her are more about seeing her rather than needing to sort out her needs. Thank you, guys.
I would highly recommend Wyndwell care home as I think it is well run with lovely hardworking staff and they are very helpful and friendly. The residents always seem very well looked after and happy individuals. I do think at times there should be more staff, before lockdown the home was extremely busy and I was very impressed at the manner in which the staff dealt with this and indeed for many months before.
Wyndwell is very well run. The manager, duty nurse and all staff are very approachable and attentive. The home is 'homely' and welcoming, there are lots of activities and everyone goes the extra mile to see that my Mum is happy and well.
Homely, friendly and supportive staff who offer individualised care to residents. Pro-active in raising funds to support various activities for clients. Approachable. I feel able to relax knowing my mum is in a safe environment. Having conducted an ad-hoc visit, reassured re care and treatment prior to Mum gaining a placement. Able to gain updates as required by the manager, staff and care manager. Staff should be proud.
