View Full Details of Daviot Care HomeI cannot express how grateful I am to the staff and management team for the care given to my mum over the last year and up to her passing in early January 2025. Communication was excellent, and her coordination of the care between staff and the GP was excellent. Not only did they care for my mum, but they cared for us as a family.
I am so glad my dad got a place at Daviot Care Home. He moved after a bad experience at another home and the difference is incomparable. The staff at Daviot are absolutely fantastic, dedicated, friendly, well trained and so caring. It's much more like a big family than a care home. My dad is happy, very well fed (with his special diet catered for) and mentally stimulated. As a family, we couldn't be happier with the high standard of care he is receiving.
Very pleasant overall experience, a lovely setting for walks or sitting looking out is beautiful. Never a problem to talk to staff, always there to help you in anyway they can. A hidden gem, that is what I think.
The care my husband receives at Daviot Care Home is exemplary. He has Alzheimers disease and staff are very well trained to support him with all its complexities. All staff, in whatever capacity, treat him with kindness, respect and dignity. Care staff are solution focused when problems arise and work closely with the GP. All residents have a care plan in place to suit their individual needs. My husband's special diet is catered for and he enjoys his meals. Activity Co-Ordinator's support his mental health and well being. The excellent senior management have created a friendly homely environment where staff, residents and families are all valued.
My husband has been in Daviot Care Home since the end of August and is settled in. I have been very impressed with his care and the friendliness of the staff. I feel that he will be well looked after in this lovely care home.
My mum's care has been exemplary. The staff take a person-centred approach which ensures mum's care needs are met both physically and emotionally. Mum has experienced significant health challenges over the last few months and the staff were proactive in providing all she needed while also ensuring we (family) were okay and kept up to date at all times.
All good.
Our experience has been very positive, we find all the staff to be pleasant and caring. We are kept informed regularly as to any changes to our mum's needs.
Very confident in the care my dad is receiving. Staff know him very well and react to any health changes very promptly. Open communication between home and myself. Feel very much apart of the family. Able to support Dad with GP visits too and able to relay concerns and ask questions - lots!
The Daviot Care Home have been looking after my husband for over 7 years and they continue to do an amazing job. The staff clearly adore their residents and know how to get the best out of them despite the different illnesses they suffer from. I am very grateful to all the staff, they really care for their residents.
My wife was first diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014 and was cared for at home until 2020. Professional care had become a necessity and she was admitted to The Lodge at Daviot Care Home. She is now in the advanced stages of the disease. I visit regularly and am of the opinion that the care and facilities at The Lodge are excellent and far exceed that of other homes I have visited. All the staff are friendly and polite and there is a lovely, relaxed atmosphere throughout the home. My wife couldn't be in a better home.
The review is comprehensively and competently dealt with by the nurse.
I feel that my brother is very well looked after by the staff here and it would be very difficult to imagine how this could be improved.
After discussing with the care worker at my wife's care review, I am completely satisfied that she is receiving high-quality support for her challenging needs.
Lovely care home, the staff are great, and communication is better now that phone lines have been fixed. Overall Daviot Care Home is a great place, feel relaxed knowing my mother-in-law is happy and content being here, reassuring that staff contact if there are any issues which is done right away.
Completely happy with my partner's care in Daviot Care Home. My partner is well looked after and has made many new friends with other residents and staff. Everything was explained well and very happy with all.
My relative is well looked after by staff who are respectful and friendly and I am kept informed of any changes that are being made. She is well-fed and lives in a clean environment. I would recommend Daviot Care Home to others.
My mother receives excellent care from the wonderful staff. A lovely, friendly environment. The staff are also kind and supportive to me.
My husband has now spent 2 years in Daviot Care Home on Moy unit suffering from Frontotemporal Dementia. I feel he is well cared for and gets on well with the staff and other residents. The general atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. I enjoy visiting and appreciate being able to take my dog along too. The food is good and my husband looks forward to going to the dining room.
Very good staff, nice and helpful.
