View Full Details of The Meadows Nursing HomeStaff could not have been more welcoming of us when we came to visit with our children. The place is clean and well equipped. So glad to see that Granny seems to have settled in and is being so well cared for!
Absolutely amazing care home, outstanding staff who go above and beyond looking after our granny. The Meadows Nursing Home is so welcoming, spotless, great facilities, activities, day trips out. Thank you for all you do.
My Mother-in-law has been in The Meadows since a few months. As a family we are absolutely delighted with the wonderful care she is receiving from the top down. The food is amazing, great varied menu. The staff are so friendly putting on varied activities encouraging the residents to take part in all. The Christmas Party was a wonderful day for residents and family, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Highly recommend The Meadows for anyone looking for family care.
We as a family are delighted by the care that our father is getting at The Meadows. The management and their supporting team are exceptional. Our father has been here since May 2024, and they have made what can be a traumatic experience for the family, as easy as can be. They have not only settled Dad in with great care and sympathy, but have been a great support to our mother and us, looking out for her, and reassuring her along the way of this difficult journey. Since their arrival, we have seen such great improvements having visited it prior to them joining, and it is truly a much-improved home and head and shoulders above the rest, and we are delighted and very grateful for the care that Dad is receiving. From experience elsewhere, there are no lingering smells, the food is good and varied, there are no alarms constantly going off, and the friendliness, warmth and flexibility from all the staff is noticeable. We can't speak highly enough of the team at The Meadows - thank you.
My mum has been a resident for 10 months, on arrival the staff went out of their way to make her feel welcome. I live a fair distance away the staff keep me informed of any issues regarding her health. The staff are friendly and look after mum and after for her needs.
My mother moved to the Meadows care home from another care home. Since she has been there, she is more sociable and is encouraged to attend events and activities both in the home and community events. The family are delighted with the care she receives, she is well catered for and gets offered alternative meals if she doesn't want what is in the menu. Despite how minor they are, I am contacted if there are any medical issues, Although she is wheelchair bound, the garden has accessible paths, when the weather allows, she is often sitting out. Friends and family are invited to have meals with mum, we also have the opportunity to use the dining room for family events. The staff are friendly and attentive to mums daily care.
My husband was in The Meadows for 5 weeks, and could not have been better looked after. The staff are all exemplary in their care. Our family dog was made welcome and loved visiting my husband and other residents. The meals looked tasty and visitors were offered tea/coffee and cake. The home manager was always available and went above and beyond. The night staff are super too.
My Mum was offered a place at The Meadows Care Home. Initially, I was concerned about the distance from Inverness but both my and my Mum's minds were put at rest when the member of staff came to visit my Mum and I prior to going into the Care Home. The Member of Staff was lovely and very caring and understanding. We took my Mum to the Nursing home the following day and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, making my Mum, myself and my Husband feel very welcome. All the staff have been excellent since my Mum moved into the home at the beginning of May, they have all been very caring, providing a very high standard of care to my Mum and keeping me informed of any changes in my Mum. My Mum loves living at The Meadows Care Home and I am delighted with the care that she is receiving there.
My father has been a resident for the past four years, staff are so friendly so he settled in instantly and as a family we are so thankful for this. The care he has received has been exemplary. The staff have also been so attentive to my mother when she's visiting. A wonderful home from home.
I moved into The Meadows Nursing Home at Dornoch in May and I am very happy here, as the staff are very caring and they all mix with the residents it is like one big happy family and no one is left to feel alone. Today I was resident of the day which means you get pampered all day and you get to have a meal with one of the staff. This happens for every resident each month and my door number is 4 so every month on the 4th I will be resident of the day so every day is a resident's day, and no one is left out. I think that is a wonderful idea. Thanks to every member of staff for being so kind and helpful, I just love it here. Any relative or friend need not worry as everyone is taken very good care of and it is a marvellous place to live.
My mum is in there at the moment and my dad was too but passed away. I am so glad they were in the home as the manager and staff are so good to the residents and they are so welcoming to the relatives as well... the amount of care they give to them is brilliant and the activities they do are great: bingo, tea parties, festivals and so much more which the relatives can get involved in to... my mum loves it, and I don't have to worry about her as she is in the best place ever.
Mum has been a resident at The Meadows since December 2023, a really tough decision for us to make and we had been extremely anxious. There was no need for us to be, the care that Mum receives is excellent and she is more sociable now than she has ever been. I visit whenever I am able with my children and we are always made to feel so welcome. I feel well-informed about Mum's care and know that any issues or concerns are communicated to me quickly. The private social media group is a lovely addition and there are new photos uploaded on almost a daily basis, so lovely to see. The Management team and all the staff are just fantastic and really can't thank them enough for everything they have done for Mum. Due to the progression of her condition, she can find it difficult to verbally express however, she has told me on more than one occasion that the staff is really lovely, the food is great and most importantly she is really happy at The Meadows.
My mother has been a resident in the home for a number of years, through COVID and the subsequent months after the staff did a excellent job but the home felt soulless, move forward to the present day and what a difference. The home has had much needed money spent on it but more importantly improvements and home comforts for the residents have been added to. The new management team are a breath of fresh air and staff moral has noticeably improved. The home is now a lovely place to visit, as a family we are kept well informed of all aspects involving our mother, social activities and outings are more readily available and noticeably enjoyed by residents and family members. Thank you to all staff and management for the excellent work you do.
The staff are very kind and interact well with the patients. Also whilst I have been visiting I have seen many different activities going on during the day. I highly recommend The Meadows. The staff are welcoming and kind. I have complete confidence that my mother is safe and well cared for. The staff are so caring and gentle with my mother and are very good at communicating with me about any issues. The Meadows is a very pleasant place to visit and I am very satisfied with the care my mother receives there. I've found everyone to be immensely welcoming, thoughtful and kind. The nursing staff and carers are attentive to my mother's comfort and safety and demonstrate their interest and concern for her well-being at every stage. It is very reassuring to know my mother is in such good hands. I can't thank the staff - new management, nurses, carers, cleaners and everyone else - enough. They are very special people. I’m so glad my mum is a resident here.
The residents receive person-centred care at all times. There is a variety of things provided to keep residents entertained. The home is clean and constantly updated to ensure a warm, welcoming environment. The staff are helpful and respectful.
A brilliant nursing home. Couldn't praise them highly enough. From the moment I stepped through the door to enquire about a place for my aunt; everyone has been wonderful. The management team are so approachable, and nothing is too much trouble. The staff looking after the residents are so good with them and treat their residents like family, not patients. My aunt has settled in so well. The staff try to take her out as much as possible and involve her in the many activities taking place in the home. When my aunt arrived at the home, she was in a terrible state, but The Meadows' care and nurturing have made her regain her zest for life. Each time I visit her, I see an improvement in her health and well-being. As for the home itself, everything is clean and hygienic, and the residents are always looking well-dressed. It's not a modern, shiny home, but what matters is the care given, not the glitz! I wanted the best for my aunt, and I got it with The Meadows!
Extremely happy with the care given by staff. Staff go above and beyond to ensure comfort, safety and happiness. Activities always seem to be available, incorporating activities that she enjoyed prior to admission. Staff have worked hard to get to know her and build a relationship with both her and her family.
I can't thank you enough for the care you gave my Nan. She sadly passed away this month but we were always made so welcome when we were visiting. We were so impressed with all the staff and how they cared for her. Thanks again!
Very happy with the care provided and know that if we have any concerns, they will be addressed. Mam went in at the beginning of the pandemic which was very challenging for everyone concerned, but the staff were great and kept us informed throughout lockdown. Any initial issues were identified and resolved as soon as possible. IT issues remain a problem for family who do not live locally. Friendly, cheerful staff who are always approachable and willing to help. A varied programme of activities which show they are trying to cater for every resident's needs. Lots of changes (painting furniture, flooring) in the home which are great. Brilliant Jubilee celebrations. Please Sanctuary, look after your staff as well as they look after our loved ones.
Staff are very helpful, caring and obliging. Room was adequate in size and kept clean. The bathroom is kept clean, fresh and good size. The food has good variety and is tasty.
