View Full Details of Drummohr Care HomeMy wife and I have been looked after very well could not be any better. Thank you all.
We were nervous about mum moving to the care home, the staff have been so welcoming + considerate. Mum has settled in well, shame she can't remember all the daily activities but great reminder seeing what shes doing via pics on facebook. Everyone is professional and caring, we thank you all for your support + ongoing care. p.s Little request, can you do more sing alongs to Vera Lynn + Glenn Miller big band music
Everybody is very good if anything happens I am told about it. He is well fed and watered.
My mum always seems happy enough. It is good that we can use the quiet room when visiting as we often take our grandchildren to visit their Great Granny so gives us more space. I have no problems with the care home apart from feeling that they don't go on enough trips even though there is a Care Home Bus. I also feel that mum doesn't get outside enough although smokers do! I also feel that the people on the ground floor seem to be shown more on social media so it looks like they have more activities.
On the whole I am satisfied with mums care at Drummohr. There were a few instances mid year when I had to approach the staff regarding mum's cleanliness this was quickly rectified and was due to staff changes. The new staff did not know mum needed assistance washing and dressing. Find some staff members are more compassionate than others. Mum can be difficult to deal with at times so understand its not easy for them.
My father entered the home in September and my overall experience so far is excellent. I had concerns about him settling into his new environment but these were quickly eliminated thanks to the staff. I have found all members of staff to be helpful and reassuring when I have asked questions or raised concerns. After less than a fortnight, I could not have anticipated the settling-in period any better.
I can't speak highly enough of the care these special people give to my niece. I so appreciate the commitment and care, with which they carry out a very important occupation. My thanks to them.
I have been very pleased with the care and attention that my husband has received since moving into Drummohr Care Home. He is well looked after by all the staff and they are very friendly and caring towards him. Like some other reviews I have read, keeping track of residents clothes, slippers etc seems to be a problem.
I am very happy with the care my dad receives from all the staff at Drummohr. They have taken the time to get to know him and are able to support his needs. Dad is able to tell us that he likes living at Drummohr and the food is good - as long as he is happy, then I am happy. When there has been any issues with Dad, the staff are excellent at keeping me updated.
Quite happy with everything apart from his stuff going missing and he needs to use his legs more, rather than putting him in a wheelchair.
The staff are always friendly and willing to help. I think the meals always look nice and there is a good choice. We sometimes have an issue with her clothes going awol.
A visit improvement in the overall state of the care home. A few little issues I had with my father's state of dress and general well-being have been addressed. Staff are friendly and communication has vastly improved but still needs a little improvement. The manager is very approachable with any issues and does act on them.
I am extremely pleased with the care and support my sister receives from the staff in this nursing home. My sister's quality of life has improved greatly since she moved to this home six months ago. She is happy, eating well, sleeping well, has made friends and is engaging in activities that she has never had the confidence to engage with in her entire life. All the staff are kind and caring towards my sister and have actively encouraged her to engage in arts and crafts that she has never been involved with before. My sister loves living in the home and tells me that she wishes she had moved there years ago. She feels valued by the staff and this has increased her confidence and self-esteem. Before moving into the home she was unhappy, depressed, lonely and watched the TV all day. She also did not eat properly and continually caught infections. Now she eats very well as she has her appetite back, has made friends, is much happier and her TV is rarely on. Her life has really improved.
My Mum has been well looked after. The staff are so kind, considerate and really helpful. The manager and all her staff are a credit to the company. Since my mum has been admitted to the home I feel she is safer and well looked after at all times.
My mother is looked after extremely well. As a family, we are very happy with her care! The staff are very friendly and helpful. We have no doubt we made the right choice with Drummohr.
The care they have given my wife, and put up with her. It's fantastic. Now she is settled down what else can I say? Thank you all.
My relative was admitted to Drummohr after bed blocking in a large hospital. He said he would abide by the doctor's advice so didn't have much choice. I feel there is a lack of stimulation in the home, activities have been started but not very imaginative. Food is passable, not 'haute cuisine. Lack of physiotherapy, so many clients are not mobile. The staff are all excellent if overworked, especially at weekends. The laundry regime could be tightened up - many lost clothes. Nurses are excellent, but they are also sometimes the person in charge. I feel that the website is a bit ambitious and things could be tightened up a bit.
Very happy with Mum's care. Staff always happy to help. Would like to see more entertainment as Mum loves a singer and will happily sing along.
My mum had a fall on 25th November resulting in a very bad head wound. As a dementia patient, my mum had no concept of the seriousness of her injury and as such kept trying to move. The staff were excellent in the care provided. They sat with her and had to continuously attempt to staunch the blood flow until the ambulance arrived approx 4 hours later. My mum was treated with great care and compassion in what was an extremely distressing situation for all concerned.
Since my sister came to the home my wife and myself have visited nearly every week. We realise my sister is not easy to cope with but the staff are very good with her and very helpful with us as well. So overall we are pleased with the home for my sister.
