View Full Details of HeatherfieldMy mother has been in Heatherfield for a couple of months. She had been in hospital previously and when we arrived she had to be brought inside in a wheelchair. She's been made very welcome and comfortable. It's been hard for her leaving her own home and friends but now she's near family. We're so delighted with the kindness and care she's been given and amazed by the skill and understanding of the elderly with dementia.
Myself and Mum are very well supported by all staff. I am always met with smiling kindness and kept well informed of all Mum's needs and care. Mum's room and all other facilities are kept spotless. She is included in many of the activities even though, physically she isn't as able to join in as she once was. It's good for her social skills/needs. I cannot praise the carers enough. Most of the time Mum is easy to work with but staff need to watch as she can lash out without warning. The respect and care remain the same. Excellent.
Always friendly staff. Activities are great for residents of all capabilities, and care is excellent for all residents. I would recommend Heatherfield to anybody looking for a place for their loved ones.
My mother in law has been a resident of Heatherfield care home. At all times we have found the home to be warm and welcoming providing a high standard of care to all the residents, with all their varying needs. Their staff respect that all residents will not want to throw themselves into joint activities, but special mention should be given to all the constant events and fun days they do to provide for the old people keeping them active in both mind and body. Well done to all the staff.
Lovely set up for mothers day with cakes, scones and sandwiches. Staff were all very kind and helpful.
Very nice service and spread. Mum enjoyed it very much.
Staff always friendly and helpful. Activities for residents are always well planned and relevant for the service users needs.
My mother was admitted to Heatherfield just prior to full restrictions coming into force. This was an extremely difficult time. The staff then, I'm sure, did the best they could to provide the best care. I had issues with the old regime. However, after the new manager arrived everything greatly improved. All staff are caring and attentive and there now exists a much friendlier atmosphere. The activities coordinator is doing a great job which we appreciate. I can only thank all staff for the care and attention they provide.
The staff are amazing, go beyond and above, treat my mum like a queen. Can't fault the care ever, make the family feel at home with Mum.
Myself, my mum and daughter visited on Valentine's day for a special afternoon tea which was thoroughly enjoyed. Heatherfield Care Home really go the extra mile for the residents.
I have the highest regard for the carers for the way have coped over the last couple of years. My husband was discharged to the home at the beginning of lockdown, and despite not being able to visit I was always kept up to date on his welfare. Since then when I visit he always seems content and well cared for.
What a fantastic day I had with my Mum, she was beaming from start to finish. I can't thank the staff enough they really do go the extra mile. I must say the care and attention to detail in Heatherfield is second to none. Thanks very much again for making Mum feel, very special.
I am so happy with Mum's care. I would not think of a better care home. The receptionist is so helpful. The manager is always available, but big praise to the coordinators; they do an amazing job.
My mum went into Heathfield in January 2020, not long before the first Covid lockdown. The management and staff kept us well informed as to how my mum was doing, which we really appreciated. We were able to phone and speak to Mum any time, which we really appreciated. In my view, the staff have worked really hard to keep my mum safe, which is greatly appreciated.
The staff in Cameron House at Heatherfield are wonderful. They have had such a difficult year and through it all they have looked after my mum and all the residents to the highest degree, ensuring they have been mentally and physically kept active throughout the pandemic. When I phone to speak to my mum they always greet me with a cheery voice and take the time to share her day with me, despite being busy. I cannot praise them enough for all their hard work and dedication. A big thank you Cameron staff.
Very good care home with excellent staff. They have had a difficult time during lockdown but have managed to keep residents well entertained. How they have done it I do not know. Staff show lots of compassion to residents and look after them very well.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank both management and the staff at Heatherfield for the care they gave my mother over the last three years. She was made to feel welcome from the day she arrived. We are aware of the incredible hard work put into my mother's care, especially over the last 18 months when dementia took over her life. We cannot thank you all enough.
My father was in Heatherfield with Dementia and he also had cancer. He was there from November 2018 until he passed away in April 2019. The care he was given was amazing. It is very difficult for any family to have their loved one go into a care home, but they really did take good care of him. The staff were all amazing from the nurses, carers, kitchen, laundry, maintenance, office. Each and every department played a part. We, as a family each had our favourites and my dad also had his favourites, but overall we couldn't have gotten better care. Towards the end of dad's life, the care was tremendous for both dad and us as a family as the staff were very attentive to us too. Cannot fault them. Thank you to each and every one of you.
I have no complaints as my mother is very contented and very well cared for.
The staff stand out for the care and attention they give to residents. They are conscientious and make the effort to console someone or just keep them company.
