View Full Details of Livingston Care HomeMy father has now been in this care home for five weeks, and my father and I have nothing but praise for the staff, the facilities and the way he is being cared for. It is a very friendly environment and a happy feeling about it. My dad constantly praises the staff. The manager is always approachable and has always answered any questions put to her. My dad was bedridden for five months, and they now have him up enjoying the activities keep up the good work.
My mum, who lives with Alzheimer’s, became a resident of Livingston Care Home three weeks ago. The manager came to visit Mum at home to assess for admission to Livingston Care Home. The manager was absolutely amazing with Mum, and I knew from that first meeting that the manager would take care of my mum. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised on our first visit to Livingston Care Home when Mum became a resident. The home is lovely and clean, every single member of staff has been so friendly, always keen to assist and has treated both our family and most importantly my mum with dignity and respect. Mum has settled in so well, which was totally unexpected. The staff cannot do enough for her, and I am 100% confident that she is receiving the best care for her needs. Her room is lovely and clean, having a little ensuite for privacy when toileting etc. We are beginning to add Mum's own items to make it more like home, although she does not remember much of home now. My mum is happy and I cannot say thank you enough.
My mum is in this care home. She has very bad dementia and can be a challenge. The staff have been amazing, each and every one have provided excellent care for Mum despite her problems. Nothing appears to be too much trouble in finding ways to make my mum's stay more comfortable. Since my mum was admitted I have lost my dad and again the staff have been superb. In addition to looking after my mum in an exemplary manner, they have shown me immense kindness and support in what has been an extremely challenging few months. Every member of staff I have interacted with across cleaning, admin, nursing and caring, and management have shown that they are totally committed to providing residents and families with as much help and support as they can. I really can’t praise them all enough and I’m sure my mum would too if she were able.
A huge, heartfelt thank you to all staff caring for my mum, just now and during the strict lockdown. Your kindness and patience are very much appreciated by myself and my family. You have kept us well informed through emails and phone calls, regarding restriction changes and my mum's wellbeing. My mum had only just moved in with you at the start of lockdown. Now, being able to visit, it's reassuring to see her feel at home in a lovely environment. Best wishes to all.
My dad has been in this care home since March 2021 and the staff have been amazing. They look after my dad so well and us as a family they are on the ball telling us everything. I want to thank them all so much especially one member of staff who my dad sees the most and she had a great rapport with him, as does another particular member of staff and all the staff. Keep peeling the tatties dad, you are so good at it. Thank you to you all.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all for the excellent care given to both our parents, sadly Dad has passed but Mum still gets the best care. Was hard through lockdown not being able to visit but the weekly video calls and pictures of all activities being shown made it a lot easier. Now visiting has started again, the care you are taking to make sure all residents are safe is perfect. If I was asked about the home, I would recommend it 100%, for care, cleanliness, friendliness, all around everything - thank you.
In the last 6 months, the staff have been a lot better than in the past. My mother seems to be more settled, let’s hope it stays that way. Downside, waited ten minutes on Sunday for someone to acknowledge my presence at the door which to me is unacceptable when they say 10.30 I don’t expect it to be 10.40. Other than that the manager has done a good job turning the place around.
My dad was accepted into the care home in January 2021. The care is and still does an amazing job by all the staff. He loved them all. My dad has now passed away but, from the bottom of my heart, I wish to thank everyone involved in my dads care you all made his time with you all a happy and contented one. When he passed l and my dad was treated with the utmost care and respect. This care home should be awarded 5 stars as he was always treated like a star. In my humble opinion.
My sister moved into Livingston Care Home on the 30th March 2020 she is very happy. The staff are caring people, and attend to her every need, even better than I could. The food and the company of the residents are very good, this has taken the pressure off me knowing she is well cared for and I have peace of mind. There is a lovely atmosphere about the place and staff. I have no hesitation about recommending Livingston Careholme.
My father is well looked after, any issues or concerns I may have are dealt with quickly and professionally. My father has been at the home a number of years now and is settled well into the home. Carers and nurses make me feel at ease and our well being is always put first.
My mother has been a resident at Livingston Care Home since May 2020. Her admission coincided with the 1st lockdown. As such, I had to rely on the management and staff to help her settle in, provide her care, as well as entertainment and social interaction. Whilst Mum's health condition has proved to be extremely challenging, I have been very impressed with the commitment and dedication the staff have given to her care. Mum has been treated with respect at all times, care plans have been devised in conjunction with external health professionals and adhered to accordingly. The chef has gone out of his way to devise meal plans that fit Mum's particular dietary needs. Communication is so important, especially during the lockdown period when visiting wasn't possible. Staff have gone out of their way to contact me with regular updates on Mum's health and wellbeing. They have shown empathy and understanding towards both my Mum and myself during very difficult circumstances.
