Our godmother had been at Colinton for almost 9 years and during that time has been very well looked after. All the staff have been great, looking after our godmother care and dignity. We could not have asked for any better care. Thank you.

Very happy with the care home. The staff went out of their way to treat dad with dignity and respect and invested a lot of time in settling him in when he moved there in August. All staff were extremely kind and caring. There are lots of activities on offer and the staff worked hard to involve as many residents as possible in them. If we raised any minor issues, they were dealt with immediately. Very happy with the home overall.

Excellent, caring staff with care and concern for all residents. Relate well both to residents and to visitors. Good communication at all times. Friendly and helpful, always welcoming.

My aunt stayed In Colinton Care Home for a short respite visit. She thoroughly enjoyed her break, and the beautiful home cooked food. I personally found the staff very caring, and compassionate also the feel of the place was very homely, and I think that's very important. I would thoroughly recommend this excellent care home.

We as a family decided that my dad needed to go into respite care so that my mum could have some rest from giving 24/7 care for my dad. My dad has been in other care homes for respite care which were very good. Colinton Care Home is a step above well staffed and all exceptional in the dementia care they provide, very knowledgeable, attentive and approachable not just for my dad but to our family as well. Within minutes of entering the home, staff were there introducing themselves and looking after my dad. We can't thank all the staff and management enough.

Mum only stayed for a week's respite but she is already asking for her friends. The moment I stepped into Colinton I could feel there was a lovely atmosphere, both the residents and staff were welcoming and happy. The staff were lovely with Mum and she's enjoyed the social side of staying in Colinton. I think it's only a matter of time before she's back. Thank you for being so lovely to Mum.

Colinton Care Home has provided my mother-in-law with a safe space to live, with friendly staff who go above and beyond to help the residents and their families. The nursing and care staff got to know my mother-in-law and her needs and desires, making sure she was well cared for and that she could still live as independently as possible.

This was Mum's first experience of respite care, and all the staff were caring and considerate taking time with Mum. The room was clean and fresh, and I would recommend Colinton to anyone who is in need of this service. Thanks to the manager for her patience and time to help us navigate the process.

My mother has been a resident of Colinton Care Home since March 2024. The staff have all been extremely kind and attentive, and she is being well looked after in a homely setting. She feels safe and secure, and we as a family are very happy that she is receiving the best care possible. Staff have been very helpful and welcoming to all family members, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I highly recommend Colinton Care Home.

Mum has been in Colinton Care Home for nearly 3 years. When she was first a resident, she was able to mobilise, chat and interact with everyone in the home. All the staff were and are absolutely fantastic and so caring towards her. Mum now needs assistance with everything and I cannot fault the way she is cared for by everyone. It is all the staff who are caring towards all the residents and will always have time to have a chat or help anyone. I am extremely glad to see the original manager back as the Manager and she leads an amazing team. There is always a warm, happy, and friendly welcome when you come in, this continues with housekeeping and activities staff. It was an extremely hard decision to put Mum in a care home but we could not have picked a better one. I am able to be more at ease knowing Mum is safe and well cared for. I love going to visit her and have now have many friends there. Well done Colinton Care Home!

As a family, we were lucky when Colinton took our Mum in from hospital in April. Mum had lived independently and was 91. The care Mum received from everyone in the home was exceptional. All the staff were so happy and helpful and very caring. Thank you for everything you have done for us and Mum.

Colinton is home to my 97-year-old Mother and has been for over two years now. The home is spotlessly clean, bright, and welcoming and the staff are all fantastic. Mum is very happy there (well, as happy as she'll ever be given her nature), and feels very safe and well-looked after. A new manager has been appointed recently who is friendly, experienced and approachable.

Dad was in Colinton Care Home for nearly a year. The staff were amazing, so caring and always took a lot of time with him. Dad always told me how kind the staff were to him. Unfortunately, he went downhill in January. The staff took such good care of him and were so kind and helpful to us when he passed away. I can’t thank all the staff enough for their care, kindness, compassion and respect to Dad.

All the staff are lovely, my Mum is happy and very well looked after. The care home is spotless, and the staff make relatives very welcome and can't do enough. My mum is surrounded by lovely people who take care of her every need.

Dad is looked after extremely well and I am very happy and impressed with the level of care given to him. The staff are all very nice and attentive to all his needs. They take time to talk to him and tend to his needs from his health to his personal care. There is a programme of activities each week which the coordinator and staff encourage him to attend, giving him company and stimulation to keep attentive and active. It was a hard decision to choose a care home and move him in but it’s the best thing for Dad and he appears very happy!

From the moment my mum entered Colinton Care Home, I have had nothing but praise and admiration for all the staff and management. They made my mum very welcome, as they did our family. It was not an easy decision for us to put our mum in a care home, but everyone could not have helped Mum settle in as easy as she has, which has made us as a family accept that we made the right decision. Their care and attention has been continuous throughout her stay. Thank you.

I am very pleased with the care my grandad is receiving in Colinton. I have confidence that he is safe and well cared for. The staff are all lovely, very friendly and always in good humour. The home is always clean and tidy however I feel it could do with refurbishment as the decor is beginning to look a bit tired but this doesn’t take away from the excellent care that is provided to the residents.

Colinton has provided a friendly, caring and comfortable home for my father over the past year. There are true stars among the nursing staff and carers, working with compassion and good humour. The support staff in the office, cleaning and catering are always polite and friendly and working hard aswell. Some minor upgrades are ongoing/desirable, but fundamentally, the house and its grounds are lovely.

Very caring, hard-working, attentive and friendly staff. They are very helpful and keep me well-informed about Dad's current condition. Lovely care home with nice gardens. My dad enjoys his food here very much.
