View Full Details of Belleaire House Care HomeWelcoming staff, lovely clean home. Shown round, lots of activities. All residents appeared clean and well dressed. Large room for mum with en-suite. Staff attended to mum to all us to leave. Food lovely, extra fluids readily available, could not be faulted.
Staff are very attentive to my mum's needs. Staff aid treat mum with respect and empathy. Staff always take the time to provide updates when I'm visiting the home from Australia.
The care that my mother received when she was unwell was excellent. The only complaint that we have is that her eye drops keep going missing. She also told me that she has not had her inhaler on several occasions.
My sister has been a resident with Belleaire Care Home for six years now, and in all that time, I have been very satisfied with the care given to my sister. The staff are very nice and show a caring spirit, and eager to help if anything is brought to their attention. The home, and my sister’s room is always fresh and clean, and staff are always welcoming and friendly. If there was one thing I’ve noticed over the last couple of years is that the lifts are not as clean as they used to be. That’s just a small negative comment, but something I’ve noticed. My sister is very contented at Belleaire, and enjoys the food, which is really very good. I would not hesitate to recommend Belleaire to others. It is a beautiful home, with lovely grounds, so thank you Belleaire and staff.
Reviewing 12 months my dad has spent in Belleaire I can definitely say that it’s people who make this place. There are lots of caring, understanding, compassionate and extremely friendly people who do their job very well and have established a great relationship with my dad and his family. This is the most important thing for us, as we do not want him to feel lonely, isolated and neglected. Unfortunately, some people shouldn’t be working in care at all but it is a challenging task for the management team. Overall, I am happy. I wish a staff shortage issue could be sorted to take some pressure off the current hardworking team and more money could be invested in new carpets or flooring and basic refurbishment of the bedrooms e.g. painting.
My mum has been in Bellaire for about 6 months, on the whole, I feel the carers are really friendly and helpful. I have noticed from time to time mum has looked as if she has just got out of bed and put her clothes on and I could smell sweat on her, on these occasions I have personally showered my mum. I personally feel she should be showered every other day as that was the way she was at home. I also feel that they aren't getting enough fluids throughout the day I.e water or juice most of the residents need to be prompted for this and I don't see that happening very often. I would also like to see them having some fruit. I also feel at the weekends there doesn't seem to be much happening in the way of activities to keep them from getting bored they need stimulation.
I'm very disappointed in the care my mum has received over the past few years. Lack of communication regarding incidents. Staff shortages, no manager on most shifts. I am in talks with a social worker to have transferred to another care home. I have no trust or faith in this home. Also, what is the point of asking for feedback when I can only put a month in when my concerns have been ongoing.
There are too many staff changes...insufficient upgrading to bedrooms...more activity input needed. No one has enough time to make the changes needed and I'm afraid I do not have time to keep adding to this and I think have made my views clear and concise...
Staff have a great sense of humour, and always welcome you with a smile. Staff don't just care about residents; they really care about friends and family, always checking in to see how we are doing. My one wish for the care staff is that there were a few more of them, so they're not stretched. The views from the property are stunning, and the outside space is brilliant and very well-kept. Nothing is too much bother for the staff, and they are a brilliant team.
Aunty is very happy and contended in the Belleaire nursing home. All her needs are attended to, and any hospital appointments are dealt with, with no issues. The staff are excellent, and her surroundings are very homely.
I've always found the staff to be caring and considerate. Communications are good. Any time I have had the need to call the home, I've found that the staff have been knowledgeable about my father's situation. It's good to know that he's being well cared for.
We are extremely grateful to all the staff at Belleaire House for their continued commitment, care and thoughtfulness over the past few years whilst looking after Mum. They are calm and professional, especially during challenging situations. They are always completely understanding of Mum’s needs, which can change at any time. We are also grateful for the communication. The hard work of all the staff doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you.
My mum is a resident and has been for over 3-years. I live in England, so don’t get to see Mum as often as I’d like, but I consider myself and Mum to be so very lucky that she has found Belleaire because of the distance involved. I already knew Belleaire was good before the pandemic, but knowing that I wasn’t able to visit during that time was eased 100% by the fact I knew how well looked after, loved and cared for she was being. This nursing is exceptional, and the staff are unbelievable. The care, love, thought and dedication that is put in by all staff is commendable. I know that they contact me about everything and let me know what’s happening. I see my mum happy, healthy and thriving, and she trusts them. What more could we ask. I will be forever grateful. Thank you.
My friend has been in Belleaire for over a year now, and I cannot fault the staff at all. They are always courteous and so welcoming when I arrive at the home. There is always plenty to do for the residents, which recently I have been able to take part in. The home is always very clean, and the staff cannot do enough for my friend or me. Being able to visit my friend and know she is well cared for is a great comfort to me.
This past year has been hard for everyone, but it was definitely made easier for me with the support of the fantastic staff of Belleaire House. My mum has been a resident for several years and has been looked after with care and compassion. My dad visited her every day and was made welcome and treated like part of the family. Even though he wasn't a resident he was cared for and even provided with meals to join Mum. Unfortunately, he became ill during the height of the 1st lockdown and was admitted to hospital. (Non-covid related). The Manager and her staff were a great support to me and my family as we dealt with this and cared for Mum. As it became clear that Dad needed palliative he was welcomed into Belleaire House. Although he passed away shortly afterwards I am extremely grateful to everyone at Belleaire House for the care and compassion they showed. Mum is still well cared for and I am so excited that visiting has restarted and I can be part of the Belleaire family again.
My friend, for whom I have Power of Attorney as she has no immediate family in Scotland, was transferred from hospital about a year ago to Belleaire. I chose Belleaire because of a recommendation from a friend, who said her husband had settled in really well. This has also been my experience with my friend. She has stopped being anxious and has not needed hospitalisation in the past year. She seems well cared for, although it has been difficult to assess this while we could not visit inside the home for most of the year. I am particularly grateful to be told when there is a particular problem such as a fall (which has happened very rarely) and I have found all the staff to be kind and approachable. Although low in mood at certain times, my friend is happy to be at Belleaire and I am grateful for that.
My wee wife is being cared greatly for by very cheerful staff who have made her feel truly at home and made me feel a bit more at ease knowing she is being cared for. I was allowed in to visit and you could see from the start she was very well looked after and cared for.
I am so very thankful to all the staff at Belleaire who take the most sincere, kind and loving care, of my wee mum. I live in the US and I can’t express enough, what peace of mind the nurses give me in telling me all the information about Mum and explain every detail of my mum's health and well-being. It brings me such comfort and I do not have to worry about her, I can think about her and know how well-loved and looked after she is, they truly care which really warms my heart and makes me extremely grateful, my most heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.
My mum had a three-week respite stay at Belleaire House January - February 2020, which was arranged at very short notice. A member of management visited Mum at her home reassuring her and answering any questions that she may have had. There was a phone call made to my sister - again we found this to be very reassuring and comforting to us all as it was the first time any of us had experienced a residential care setting. On arrival, my mum and sister were made most welcome by the staff. Mum had a wonderful room with river views. The facility was very clean and well maintained with well attended outdoor areas. Mum enjoyed the interactions with all staff and commented that they were the greatest asset and could not have done enough for her. When the family visited, staff made us feel welcome and we felt part of the 'family'. This has been a very positive experience for Mum and we would recommend this residential care setting.
I have found peace of mind now that my husband is in this nursing home. All the staff have been very good. They let me know what's happening which helps me a lot as I worry too much. thanks to all the staff and management.
