View Full Details of Eastwood CourtMy mother sadly passed away after almost 4 years at Eastwood Court. Her care has been nothing but exceptional and exemplary. The love and care provided by all the staff involved has warmed my heart. It has given me peace. She did not pass alone even though I could not get there in time. I was kept informed at all stages of her last few weeks. I can only thank each and every one of the staff. Don't underestimate the difference you all make. You made a difference to my mother's life, and indeed mine too. Thank you, from my heart.
My dad is in Eastwood Court, he is being well looked after, staff are very attentive with him. They are also great at keeping us as a family well informed.
Absolutely relieved that my gran is now being so well looked after. It has been a journey finding a caring environment for my gran. The staff go beyond their role in ensuring my gran is clean, supported and cared for like a family member instead of a resident. The clinical lead is fantastic in communicating with us...regular updates are conversed in a friendly caring manner at all times.
My father-in-law has been a resident of Eastwood Court for nearly 10 years and I could not be happier with the standard of care he has received. The staff are so kind and he is incredibly well looked after. Activities are varied and fun and he very much enjoys meal times. My family credits Eastwood Court for improving my father's quality of life.
My mother has been in Eastwood care home for just over one year. My wife and I have found that my mother has received excellent care. My mother is very fussy about what she eats, and if she gets something she doesn't like, they will change it without any fuss. They are very accommodating. I tend to visit at sporadic times and I always find the staff accommodating, and her room spotlessly clean. The staff can't do enough for her and I am incredibly grateful for her excellent care.
Cannot fault this care home, they provided exceptional care for my uncle during his time at Eastwood Court. The clinical lead went above and beyond to ensure his needs were met and the family were made to feel welcome each time they arrived. If needed, I would use this care home for any other relatives requiring care away from home. Highly recommend! Thanks again all.
I'm very appalled at the duty of care regarding my mother-in-law. I went to visit she was covered in bruises, when I asked the staff no one could tell me why, nothing was written in her care notes or marked on her body map sheet. She has to drink out of a sippy cup and again she is sitting with a cup of tea. When I mention to staff they say they don't know. The staff is atrocious and it is always pass the buck. No duty of care whatsoever, the assistant manager fobbs everything off and the manager just doesn't care and can't be bothered coming to meetings either regarding these issues. Absolutely disgusted at the stage I wouldn't even trust them with my dog. A horrible place should be shut down!
Permanent care staff and agency nurses are generally excellent. However non-regular agency carers can be poor due to inexperience, unfamiliar with resident's needs and sometimes appear to have a poor work ethic.
I wish to emphasise that the care received for my mum has been excellent. They have been very understanding to our family at our most saddest time. My mother has been very happy here and the staff have built up a good rapport throughout her stay.
The staff are great and do their best to make things comfortable. The dining room is good for residents to have contact with others. Cleanliness is great and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Think the food could be better- more fruit and veg and less chips.
I would like to thank the manager and her team for all the support and care that they have given to my aunt. She loves living at Eastwood Court and even though she has dementia she often tells me how lovely all the staff are to her. I feel they know her so well and meet all of her needs. They keep in touch with me regularly. I feel so reassured that she is getting the best care.
Excellent care home. Super friendly staff.
My husband previously was in Eastwood Court for respite. Unfortunately, he has now had to require full-time nursing care. I had no hesitation in placing my husband in Eastwood as their care and understanding of my husband's condition is wonderful. Thanks to everyone.
Mum was in Eastwood Court for over three and a half years. Throughout that time she was cared for by lovely people, doing a great job. Always plenty going on eg therapist visits, singers and indoor bowls. Such a lovely atmosphere in the home.
I have found all staff very helpful. I am informed very quickly of any issues arising regarding my aunt. I am kept informed of any changes. I am unable to make an informed comment on food as I have not had the opportunity to see for myself and my aunt is unable to tell me. Due to staff turnover, I have given a score of four. I am unable to make a comparison on value for money as I have not compared other establishments with Eastwood Court. This is due to circumstances beyond my control when my aunt had to go into care very quickly when her husband went into hospital and there were no other vacancies in the area.
My brother was in for respite. The room was very poor, the toilet was not very clean. I went in one day and cleaned the toilet seat with wipes as it had dried urine on it, he has a bag, also, I emptied the bin as it was full. There is a lot more I could complain about. You could never find staff. My niece also saw his night-time bag had not been emptied and cleaned.
When I visited my brother I noticed the table that his dinner was put on was never cleaned. I visited him three times a week, so it wasn't an oversight and my sisters visited the days I didn't and they noticed the same. Hygiene did not seem to be a priority. In his last week he had an infection, my sister was told this on Monday. On the Tuesday, when I was visiting, the nurse sought me out and told me his doctor wouldn't fill out a prescription so their doctor gave one and he was starting the antibiotics that evening. All during my brother's stay in respite, there was no Wi-Fi for him. I explained that was how he communicated with friends, as he was deaf he struggled in company and was more relaxed and happy on his iPad. I asked if he could be moved to a different room, didn't happen. No empathy! I will say there were a couple of carers who deserved that title, but not many and if I heard one more time about them being short-staffed, they should not have taken my brother in.
Unable to provide a review of facilities etc so I haven't viewed the home. My overall experience with management, staff and finance have been excellent and professional. My mum is happy, content and properly cared for which helps myself and all the family be content and less worried that mum is being properly cared for with dignity, respect, humour and kindness.
My Mum only came to the home 4-weeks ago, and she has settled in so well during a really difficult time. Having not seen her for 8-weeks, it was fabulous to see her looking so happy and content, due to the excellent care she has received so far. All the staff I've had contact with have been kind, caring and super helpful and they're care is obvious just by looking at Mum. Thank you, thank you to all the staff at Eastwood Court as far as aim concerned you are all angels!
My mum is a long term resident of Eastwood Court. She has been well cared for during the Covid pandemic. When I saw her after a five months break due to Coronavirus restrictions, I was delighted by how well she looked. It is a tribute to the care that the staff offered.
