View Full Details of Elderslie Care HomeOverall the staff are excellent. Certain individuals go that extra mile. My husband is in the Coates unit and the staff are amazing. Any problems I have ever had are always dealt with promptly. My husband is well looked after and made comfortable.
My dad has settled well into Elderslie Care Home. He is well looked after and all of his needs are met. All staff are excellent with dad and our family. Home is very clean and my dad really enjoys the food!! All staff approachable and happy to answer all queries if any. We are so happy dad is here, 10/10 to all at Elderslie care home, thank you!
Dad has been a resident at Elderslie Care Home since June 2024 and his care has been exceptional. The staff from management, to carers and domestics kitchen staff, have shown dad so much respect and we know he is so safe and his every need is met with compassion. We are so glad we have chosen Elderslie Care Home as dad's home.
My dad has been in the Coates Unit for 8 months and has been very well looked after. As his condition has deteriorated, the staff have sought to keep me informed of the changes and strategies to manage his condition. The staff are cheery and professional and happy to give me updates on my dad. I can see my dad is always clean, the food is of a very good standard and he has the opportunity to take part in activities when he feels up to it. The unit has a homely feel and families are made welcome during visits.
My mum is a fairly new resident at Elderslie Care Home and is taking time to settle but the staff are very supportive and my mum is receiving very good care. She has met a friend and has enjoyed the entertainment provided by the Care Home, visits to the Old Deer Cafe and has visited the hairdresser on a few occasions
Mum has been a resident since July 24. Elderslie Care Home have been nothing but professional and attentive to Mum's needs. The staff in the Mills unit have been outstanding in helping her feel safe and at home.
My dad is well looked after, the staff are always very kind and helpful. It brings comfort to me and my family that when we go home we know he is safe and taken care of. The staff are always welcoming and approachable, making this a lovely environment for my dad to stay in and for us to visit.
The staff have smiles on their faces as soon as you enter the reception. The staff in coates unit are able to convey information regarding my mum. They take time there to have a wee chat with you when their duties allow I would love to see more qualified nurses on duty who may be in the home and could look at helping healthcare assistants progress to registered mental health nurses and registered nurses with time off for studies and financial assistance. I would like to see the carpet lifted and throughout the home as it infection control issue. My mum is looked after well by the staff here now. They are very kind to her. I think the managing director should take less bonus out to invest in the home and the lovely staff who have worked here for a couple of years.
My dad has only been at Elderslie Nursing home for the last week, but in that week the staff have made my dad feel settled and happy and are always happy to answer any questions we have. Dad is enjoying the company that he didn’t have in sheltered housing and is enjoying the food. From what we can see the staff are all kind and helpful and we have no worries that our dad is being well looked after.
I sat with my dear friend of forty years on his last day on earth as Social Work officers presented notice of an eviction order to him. They read out all his misdemeanours and said the order had been given - no reprieve. I asked for a Counsellor or psychiatric help for my friend. Not possible. He died during the night.
My father was admitted to the Chrysler unit in November 2022, and we were always able to visit regularly. He became very poorly at New Year, and the family were able to be with him when he passed away. The staff were excellent and professional and supported all the family to allow us to be together at this time. We appreciate all the care he was given and the attendance at his funeral.
I visit regularly and I cannot fault the service. The care that my Father receives is person-centred and he is given respect and his dignity is upheld. The food is suited to match my Father's dietary requirements and his room is cleaned regularly and is kept tidy, as well as tending to his medical needs.
The home is clean and well maintained, and the staff are friendly, professional and approachable. Best of all, my aunt is happy. She likes the food and the atmosphere. She's no longer neglecting herself because she's getting the right level of encouragement and support. I could not be happier.
The care that my mother receives is excellent. However, the care does not stop there - it extends to the rest of the family. They have called me previously to make sure my dad was ok as he did not make his usual visiting time. They know all the family which is fantastic because it gives them plenty to talk to with Mum. I have visited a few family members in different care homes and Elderslie is by far the best. There is always a good buzz about the place and plenty of laughter - just like home.
Since my mum went to Elderslie she is happy, well looked after. All the staff I have met are brilliant. My mum was very thin after 9 weeks in hospital, very confused and depressed. The staff listened to my concerns and did everything to make mum feel loved and important, she is well-nourished always clean, and never lonely. I get updates regularly. Can't praise the staff enough.
Coates unit, thank you for taking care of my lovely mum. My mum became a resident of this unit in August, from the first day, she was made welcome, the staff all got to know mum so well, got to know her likes and dislikes. The staff were amazing, put a fantastic care plan together to suit mum's needs, mum was safe there. Her dementia and health issues sadly got the better of her, and sadly she left them to go to heaven in November. During that time, mum was happy, had excellent care, their communication with myself was outstanding. So humble and appreciative of the staff, when giving your loved one to complete strangers, to see that they unconditionally love and care for your loved one, can only thank them wholeheartedly. Coates unit staff are a great team, I feel blessed knowing these dedicated ladies cared for my mum.
I find the experience very good. Staff are always very helpful.
Everybody is very helpful, and I'm happy with my husbands care. I would recommend Elderslie Care Home. Elderslie is a very friendly and clean home.
I can not recommend the Coats unit of Elderslie care home enough. The care, respect and dignity they should our dad, was second to none. It was a very difficult decision for us to put him into this home during the middle of last year. We weren't able to go inside and see the facilities or meet any of the staff, but for the last few months of his life, they looked after him with such care; we had no worries. They communicated with us regularly, and in the final week of his life, we couldn't have coped without them. Thank you.
I live in Hong Kong and the main means of contact with my Mum is by telephone. The staff at Chrysler Unit are very good and set up a Skype connection on a video call which is the next best thing to being there. When I call up I am always treated well and given a full update on my Mum’s health and welfare. My Mum could not be in better hands. Thank you.
