View Full Details of Clarence CourtOur friend has been made wonderfully welcome since she first arrived two months ago. The staff are outstanding - providing fantastic support to all residents in a most respectful way. All the staff we have met are keen to go 'the extra mile' - nothing seems too much trouble! Our friend's transition from her family home to Clarence Court has been a remarkably smooth process - thanks to the professionalism and dedication of the manger and all staff - thank you!
The care my friend receives at Clarence Court is wonderful. Staff are professional, kind, caring and cheerful. They work hard to ensure residents are safe, comfortable and happy. There is a well-organised programme of activities including quizzes, games and films. In Summer an Open Day for everyone is much enjoyed. The food is varied and residents look forward to meal times. Tea/coffee and homemade cake are always offered to visitors. After recent redecoration laminate flooring has been laid throughout. In areas such as the main sitting room and bedrooms carpet would make the home feel less institutional and make it more relaxing and comfortable. Photos, on the walls, of well-known Glasgow and Scottish landmarks would be a talking point between residents and visitors. At the moment there isn't a minibus available which is a great loss. It was well used for outings and visits to museums, this enhanced the lives of residents able to go. Unfortunately of late, street rubbish has been allowed to accumulate at the entrance area. Hopefully, that will soon be addressed along with the colourful planting of the flower boxes in the outside area.
The staff at Clarence Court are warm and caring from the moment you enter the premises. My parents are well taken care of and the staff are constantly keeping me updated on their health both physically and mentally. The respect shown towards my parents never wavers, even when they are being challenged. I do feel at times the staff are stretched and could do with more staff members to help. The building is always spotlessly clean. Well done to all staff members who alleviate any concerns family members may have.
My mother moved into Clarence Court beginning of March. To say it was a daunting task is an understatement! In reality, it couldn’t have been further from the truth. Starting with lovely receptionists greeting you with a very warm welcome to knowledgeable administration staff helping with paperwork and essentials if required. The care is why my mother is there. All staff, nursing and carers have been professional, friendly, caring and kind to her. The most important element in my world. If they feel anything has changed with her, they are on it. I feel my mother has settled in well and she’s coming on. She is even eating way better as she is enjoying the food. Activities staff are very good with residents too. Everybody keeps it all in good working order from laundry to chefs and domestics and maintenance staff. It was already presentable but they have started to redecorate. Management is always around somewhere if you need them. Clarence Court get their wings!
I live in Canada and had not seen my mother for nearly three years. In that time period, my mum went from being in her own flat with help from my sister - groceries, cleaning and laundry to full care. Mum is now in the early stages of dementia, legally blind and has hearing problems. I'm very pleased with all the staff I have met working, they have been very good and polite with Mum. The home is clean, and Mum has a lovely window. Only 10-mins from where my sister stays. I can honestly say I'm relieved and happy for my mum's care.
My mother moved into the home earlier this year during the pandemic. At all times she has been treated with the utmost respect and dignity as have we, her family. The staff are always supportive and during such a difficult time have been professional and always open to anything that we have suggested to ensure my mother's comfort. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
The staff at Clarence Court are without exception, some of the most caring and compassionate people I have met. Not only is the care extended to my mother, but it is also extended to us as a family. They always try to accommodate any requests, they are flexible responsive to our concerns and unfailingly polite and helpful. I feel confident that my mother receives the best care. It is such a relief to know she is treated so well and with dignity and respect.
My mother has been a resident of Clarence Court for a couple of months now. Since she moved in the staff have been very helpful and accommodating. They are always polite and happy to help out at any time. They are friendly and create a nice atmosphere.
My Mum has received excellent care at Clarence Court. Her medication has been reviewed and changed (something we had requested for several years with her previous GP). The staff are always warm and friendly.
My husband moved into Clarence Court six weeks ago and couldn't be happier. He can't praise the staff highly enough and loves his room. They have addressed all his needs and gone out of their way to ensure his good health and happiness. Well done all round.
My mum has been looked after here throughout the pandemic. The home is in Glasgow where visiting indoors has virtually never been allowed. To help we have had lots of Skype calls and window visits. Throughout all this time my mum has been very cheerful, looks well and has gained weight which is amazing. She is always well dressed and groomed. The staff are kind and perceptive. Very happy visiting in her room has now started.
My Aunt has only been in care for three months. The staff who look after her have been wonderful and are very happy, when I call, to let me know how she is getting on. It has been a big relief to the family that she is comfortable and well looked after. Whenever the staff feel there is something I should know, they phone to tell me. I couldn't ask for more.
My mother has only been in Clarence Court since 23rd December 2021 and due to Covid lockdown my review is "at a distance". However, I am more than satisfied with the care and attention that she appears to be receiving. The staff are all very helpful and genuinely work hard to make her as comfortable as possible, within the Covid constraints.
I cannot thank the staff enough for everything that they have done and continue to do for my mum. She has had a very up and down settling in period, however, the staff have all worked together to ensure that she is always supported and that I am kept up to date. My mum is always treated with dignity and respect and I feel that she has been welcomed into an extended family. My mum's dementia, along with Covid, has caused all sorts of issues which the home have dealt with promptly.
Since my mother became a resident approx 18 months ago I have been very happy with the care given to her she is encouraged to take part in many activities and has tried doing things not attempted previously by her. The accommodation and meals given to her are enjoyed by her so I have no complaints.
The staff here are fantastic - every single one of them - and we are so impressed with the efforts they have made to make mum feel secure and happy. It's been a long process, but they have been so patient and willing to try.
I have been very happy with my mum's move to Clarence Court. The staff are very professional but also warm, friendly and affectionate. The activities programme has included a lot of music which my mum really enjoys. She is looking well and enjoys having her hair and nails done. I had always hoped we could have managed her at home but she was simply too vulnerable after losing her mobility completely and the care here really sets my mind at rest.
My father has been a resident at Clarence Court for nearly 3 years now. During that time the decoration and environment have improved significantly, having previously been rather run down and tired. One thing which has remained consistent is the quality of staff and level of care which have been and remain of the highest standard. There is a real sense that the staff and management genuinely care.
The care at the home is very good. The staff know the residents well and by name, and they treat them as individuals. There is a good range of activities to keep residents active and interested. However, I do feel there are often not enough staff to deal with the complex needs of the residents and it's quite hard for them to respond to individual requests at times.
An excellent, professional and caring team who ensures a high standard of care is given at all times. Client focussed and work hard, always patient and kind to residents. Variety of food and drink encourages food intake and healthy eating. Variety of activities to engage and stimulate individuals and provide exercise. Respectful and meets the needs of individuals.
