View Full Details of Abbey CourtAbbey Court is an amazing environment, with very friendly staff. I am kept very up to date with my mum's care, and visit the building regularly and haven't had a single bad experience. Overall fantastic place!
Dad loves it here. Amazing staff, and full of great activities to keep dad entertained. Have no complaints, they are all fantastic. Beautiful building and great quality rooms! Excellent place for loved ones.
My elderly neighbour currently resides in Abbeycourt and I have visited on several occasions. I found the staff to be very accommodating, helpful and cheerful always assisting the residents and visitors. I can't recommend Abbey court enough.
The staff are very kind and supportive they are helpful in their own special ways and know just how to treat my dad. Room is gorgeous loads of space to move around the place. Perfect for my dad. Would highly recommend!
Uncle has been in a few months and the place is brilliant. his moods improved, hes in the louge way more than a thought he would be and even dies the games and stuff that go on in the afternoon. i havnt tried the food but he enjoys it and i have a few cheeky bowls of soup. they built more rooms recently and it looks amazing. he gets on well with everyone and the staff are great.
My Grandad became a resident in December, the care received is first class, the activities carried out by the team have brought him back so much happiness, the rooms are of hotel quality and cleanliness, this makes the experience of visiting one of enjoyment where you feel part of a greater family.
Nanna is so content here. She has been here for 5 weeks now. She loves the food, the staff and has enjoyed meeting new friends. On a personal note, the home is very clean, the staff are very approachable and helpful. The communication from the home is 2nd to none. You are always kept Updated on the phone with their actives, and it's good to see how happy the residents all look. So happy we as a family chose Abbey Court for nanna.
All in all a fabulous place to live my sister loves being in Abbey Court we as a family are so delighted that our sister is in Abbey Court she has now been for the past 7 years. Staff are all very professional and go out there way to help the residents and there family's always have a smile on there faces all ways interacting with the residents in new games etc so thankyou Abbey Court for looking after our sister.
I found the establishment very well run. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are exceptionally clean. Residents are treated very well with the staff. Nothing is to much trouble for them always happy to help. I would highly recommend putting a family member into there care.
A extremely well maintained and very clean Care Home, great accommodation. Great friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent care and attention given to all residents. I would highly recommend this Care Home.
My mother is well looked after and cared for at Abbey Court and continually mentions this to me. She is so appreciative for the care she receives and the knowledge she is in a safe environment with people who look out for her.
Mum has settled in really well and been well looked after. Many of the team show genuine care for the residents Room is spotlessly clean every time I visit. Mum is always clean and well presented (albeit every item of white clothing is now pink or grey). Food is generally good but lunch portions looks especially small, the soup portion in a bowl only fills to halfway in a mug. Getting set up with local GP was stressful as delayed medication for infection and regular tests. Why doesn't Abbey Court have a registered nurse on the team? It is evident that refurbishment works are underway but couldn't old carpets be professionally cleaned? I find myself apologising to visitors.
Since Mum has been in the care of Abbey Court she is happy there and likes the staff who look after her. The only issue we have is the food but that might just be Mum being fussy. Also, I think the residents need more stimulation and the home would benefit more from employing an activity coordinator.
Mum is well looked after in Abbey Court. The staff are lovely and have a great relationship with the residents, you can see that when they interact with each other. The home is spotlessly clean and the rooms are lovely more like hotel rooms.
All staff were kind, considerate, polite and very caring to our mother, ourselves and any friends that visited. The home is extremely clean, and they make a massive effort to encourage the residents and visitors to join in with the varied activities, both indoors and outdoors, all aimed at stimulating and exercising for the residents. There is always a friendly smile and a cup of tea on the go if you would like one.
My dad has been a resident of Abbey Court for over 5 years now and I have no problems with the care that my dad has received whilst being there. All staff from cleaners, kitchen, carers and managers go above and beyond to make Abbey Court the great care home that it is and would definitely recommend.
My first impression was Abbey Court was clean and spacious allowing the residents space to move around under the watchful eye of the staff. Also gives the residents the option of having company or alone time. The bedrooms are clean and organised suited to each resident's preference. I particularly like the resident's artwork on display. The new build adjoining Abbey Court is outstanding and beautiful with all the mod cons so different from the regular care home image. Abbey Court is very resident preference orientated, which suggests good management.
Abbey Court is remarkable. The care they give to each individual resident is outstanding; they go above and beyond for not only their residents but their families. It’s a home-to-home environment making the difficult transition to care a smooth and easy process for those involved. Thank you to management and all the staff for all your dedication and hard work.
My personal experience of Abbey Court has been first-rate. My Mum is 97 years of age and has been a resident for coming up to two years. Prior to having Alzheimer's my Mum loved family, socialising, theatre and dining out. In Abbey Court, they have parties, for every occasion, on the calendar, also entertainment. Craft workshops and exercise classes etc. Beautiful food on a daily basis, as well as individual birthday cakes for each and every resident. The staff make each day as enjoyable as possible for each and every resident, creating an "ambience" to the Care Home, that gives a feeling of home. Residents are always kept very smart looking. They treat every resident with love and respect, while tending to their every need both mentally, and physically, in a very caring and understanding, homely, environment. So I am very grateful. (We also get to enjoy the WhatsApp group and see pictures of activities. It's so nice to see everyone interacting and participating.)
My mum first entered the home to provide me with respite at the start of April and then became a permanent resident at the end of May. I cannot recommend the home enough, my initial impression was to judge by its outside appearance in April and thought I may have made a bad choice. How wrong that was. From the minute my mum entered the home, I really learned not to judge a book by its cover. All the care staff, kitchen staff, cleaners and the management were caring and wanting to help the residents, which is exactly what you want and need. Each and every one of them is excellent and friendly. They go above and beyond for all the residents doing whatever they can to make the residents feel at home, cared for and to ensure any visitors feel welcome. The care and empathy, the staff show, made the fact that my mum had to be a permanent resident much easier as I knew she would be well cared for amongst nice people. I would recommend Abbey Court to anyone whose relative requires care.
