View Full Details of Barchester Four Hills Care HomeFeel the home could do with a good revamp. Some of the rooms are in need of brightening up. The food is varied but there is always something, even a sandwich. The carers are very hardworking and very pleasant. The activity team, "pink ladies", are absolutely fantastic with the residents, they always have them doing something fun or days out. There's nothing these four ladies won't do for the residents. 100% my favourites. I am concerned about the security.
My relative is happy. As a family, we are fairly happy but upset that my relative's clothing is missing. Her appearance is, therefore, poor at times. Be helpful if a member of staff would take responsibility for her clothes.
We are happy with my aunt's care at Barchester Four Hills Care Home. The only problem we have is that her clothes have gone missing in the laundry and we have spent a lot of money replacing them.
Security is better as the main door now locked and have to have a code! Activities - could be more of them and to keep to the calendar. (Mostly cancelled - changes or my mother-in-law isn't involved). Yes, she has vascular dementia but she loves company! Feel the staff in the lounge should involve themselves more with the residents. Most of the time they are sitting watching rubbish TV whereas they could get involved in wee games/chats/talks.
Overall, very happy. What makes this place great is the kindness, care and humour of their staff.
My husband has been in Barchester Four Hills Care Home just over two years. The care he receives in Firhill unit has been great. Also, the staff throughout the care home are very pleasant, they go out of their way to acknowledge my husband when they pass by and I love the smile it brings to his face.
The staff are brilliant and always treat myself and my mum with kind regards. My mother's care and health and well-being are looked after. The facilities and rooms are great. The entertainment is the best I've ever had the experience of seeing. My mother is happy and safe and well looked after by everyone at Barchester Four Hills Care Home.
Barchester Four Hills Care Home is a great care home. Staff go above and beyond. Always great activities on, thought and care put into these to involve all no matter their needs. Medical updates are great, always kept in touch about my gran's health.
My father has been in Barchester Four Hills Care Home for a few months now. Within the unit, he has established great relationships with most workers, especially four members of staff, in particular, who are led by the unit lead. These members of staff seem to go the 'extra mile' to ensure the needs of my father are met. Such dedication gives my brother and I peace of mind concerning my father's well-being.
Barchester Four Hills Care Home provide excellent care. The entertainment team go above and beyond to provide the residents with daily activities which makes a huge difference. Housekeeping staff are exceptional. Highly recommend this care home.
Overall, very happy with the care and facilities. Kind staff who treat my mother-in-law with kindness, understanding and patience.
As a family, we are very happy with the care our relative has received. She is settled and seems happy. The carers are all lovely and friendly and we feel welcome. Our only complaint relates to the laundry. Dozens and dozens of items of clothing are missing. We cannot afford to keep replacing these missing items. We regularly see her wearing ill-fitting clothes that are not hers. This is unacceptable as she has always taken pride in her appearance and has lots of lovely clothes that are now missing.
Staff at Barchester Four Hills Care Home are fantastic. Entertainment for residents is first-class, lifts everyone's spirits and wee bar is a nice touch. Would recommend this care home.
Very pleased with the care provided by staff. Very friendly and always making sure residents are cared for and treated with dignity. No issues with care home.
My dad's been in a few weeks and just settling in at the moment. He said, no complaints. All good, he says. All staff and nurses are very friendly and I would back that up too.
My dad has been a resident in Barchester Four Hills Care Home for a number of weeks now, he is getting a high level of care. Staff are great, the head of unit is so caring and helpful, as most of the staff are. I have noticed my dad is looking much better, he is treated with respect as we are. Entertainment staff are brilliant. It's such a relief for us, as a family, to know he's getting good care with the clinical lead and staff.
I am very grateful for the cheerful, caring and supportive help provided whilst I have been in hospital for major surgery. The design and layout at Barchester Four Hills Care Home is very pleasant and the welcoming reception area with comfortable seating, where coffee and cake are available is a real plus.
My dad has been a resident in Four Hills for three months, following a lengthy hospital stay and a quite sudden deterioration from independent living to needing to be looked after. The staff at Four Hills have been great on all fronts from the beginning. The lady who showed my brother and me around was informative and was frank about some areas needing to be decorated, this is ongoing and has been happening since my dad has been there too. Dad is a resident in the Lambhill unit; the manager and all nursing staff, the healthcare assistants, and the domestic staff are a very good team. The manager, nurses, and healthcare assistants have provided excellent care, and my dad is looking and feeling better and stronger since arriving. There have been a couple of times he’s not been happy with something and it’s been dealt with quickly and sensitively.
My disabled sister was admitted after years of care at home. She was very poorly when she arrived but has since made remarkable improvement thanks to all the care she receives and all the homemade food that is prepared. She was very withdrawn but now enjoys all the activities. She is very well looked after by all the dedicated staff. We, as a family, feel she is now in a safe place. Thanks to you all.
I can't praise this home enough for looking after my 92-year-old father, all staff from the nurses to the cleaners are wonderful.
