View Full Details of Oakbridge Care HomeMy mother in law was in the Intermediate Care Unit for over 4 weeks. All of the staff were friendly, professional, made her visitors feel welcome and took great care of her. She enjoyed all of her meals, having a cuppa with family in the tv lounge or the cafe and getting fresh air in the gardens.
Mum moved here straight from hospital and was upset and apprehensive about the move. The manager and the staff were great, after a couple of days mum settled, actually quite enjoying her time there. Mum was well looked after, the care she received was second to none. The staff were kind and patient with her, from staff at the cafe making sure she got her favourite treat (hot chocolate /extra whipped cream) to the reception/office staff stopping for a chat. The staff involved with Mum were beyond excellent, always chatting and making her laugh (a few staff members were outstanding and I felt confident Mum was getting the best care possible). The ladies who run the activities were lovely to her too. She has now moved in with me but Mum really loved the staff and her time at Oakbridge. This is a lovely place, very well run with the highest standards of respect and dignity in dealing with residents.
My mum moved to the intermediate care unit after a prolonged hospital stay. A very sad, scared lady in a lot of pain. The manager and her staff have shown my mum (and our family) so much kindness as she adjusted to her move. The care staff are absolutely wonderful and have gone above and beyond to make my mum feel relaxed and happy. Physiotherapists and podiatrists have worked to improve her mobility, and the visiting GP has quickly dealt with any issues that have arisen. Mum is now due to leave to go to her permanent care home, and she asked me if she could just stay in the unit at Oakbridge! We can’t thank the team enough for everything they have done in rehabilitating Mum.
My mother was sent to the Pine Trees (intermediate care unit) in late February. I have to say the care and rehabilitation she received were excellent. The staff were kind, caring, patient, and always smiling. All the staff became firm friends. My mother was very sad to leave the unit and move on to a residential care home.
My close friend is resident in the rehabilitation unit, she was anxious about going there from hospital and felt she wouldn’t settle. I have visited regularly and as a carer myself I was very impressed with the care she received all the staff were very efficient. Friendly and attentive to my friend's needs. Tomorrow my friend is moving to a nursing home and she has said she would rather stay at Oakburn and that she would miss the staff who she views as friends. Thank you all for making her stay a home from home.
The staff at Oakbridge are simply wonderful. I was deeply impressed by the care and respect shown to my mother during her years of residence and shown to the same high degree to the other residents. I highly recommend Oakbridge.
I was very anxious when it was suggested that my Brother was to go to the Oakbridge Assessment Centre for 4 weeks to be assessed. The Unit he was in is called Pine Trees. I can honestly say that during his stay he received excellent care and the unit manager is exceptional as are her staff. During this period, it was not possible to enter the home because of the pandemic so there are some aspects of the home I cannot comment on, however, the most important thing is good care and he absolutely received that whilst in Oakbridge. His four week assessment turned into over two months due to various circumstances and he transferred today to another care setting run by his family. I would certainly recommend Oakbridge and in particular the Pine Trees unit and excellent staff. A big thank you to everyone.
My relative was in the Oakminster Intermediate Assessment Unit for assessment with a view to being placed into the community with assistance. He is now being, successfully, helped to move into permanent sheltered tenancy. He has Parkinson's and during his stay of six weeks, he has received all the possible care and attention he has required. The staff have been so caring/friendly interested and been to help him back to reality. e has received, care and attention with dignity at all times.
Staff excellent, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The team go out of their way to look after my gran, who doesn't speak English. Always ensuring she's included in activities and well cared for. There's always something for her to do to keep her active. She loves it here. Thank you.
My friend has been a resident here for 7 years and the standards of care have reached a much higher level in the last couple of years. In my opinion, much of the improvement is due to a certain member of staff who is very caring and also uses a very common sense approach in dealing with problems/issues that can arise. Her ways have spread and the current nurses and carers have a lovely way when dealing with residents. The entertainment has always been good and continues to be so.
I think the staff do a fantastic job at this home. Since my mum has been taken into this care home, her overall wellbeing has improved dramatically. I can’t thank the staff at Oakbridge care home enough. My mum loves being in this place even though her memory is not great she is very grateful. Thank you, everyone.
The care home was described to us by a social worker as not the best but the care is. I, my beloved mother and our whole family totally agree.
My mother has been here since October 2018 and I have been very happy with all aspects of care from the staff, no complaints. Excellent care and staff, very understanding.
Staff have been great with my Dad. They have encouraged him to take part in activities. He has improved a lot since he came into the home. He has put on weight and now takes part in lots of activities. I am very happy with support Oakbridge has given him. It means I have lots of time just to be with him.
Mum was admitted to Oakbridge for intermediate care and was there for four weeks. The staff and physio team could not have been more helpful and we cannot thank them enough for the care and attention to mum. Thank you all ladies.
I find the staff very friendly and helpful and enjoy visiting my mother here and enjoy all the entertainment.
My Dad lives in Oakbridge and I am very happy with the care and support my Dad receives. The staff are lovely and kind. I would highly recommend Oakbridge. Activities - there's lots of variety. My Dad has only recently come in and he is doing well.
My Mum moved to this care home 4 months ago. Since then, her quality of life has improved greatly. She enjoys the company and the staff are great and provide outstanding care. She is well looked after and it has been a pleasure to see her so happy.
A fantastic facility with caring staff who treat all residents with respect and dignity.
Initially, I felt that the home was bit tired, it really required fully redecorating, the staff seemed caring and friendly. However, since my Aunt's 3 years residency, there were many staff changes. All in all, I felt that the home, in general, was fine and it was really the head nurse and carers that kept me from moving my Aunt. My Aunt has recently passed away and I must say that the staff on duty over the weekend from 19th April to Sunday 22 April were first class. I've also noticed that the home is currently being redecorated.
