View Full Details of Wyndford Locks Care HomeThis was the first time I had respite and my husband was in a care home and away from me. The staff could not have been kinder or more compassionate. He was well cared for and did settle. The family could visit visit out of mealtimes. We were all made to feel welcome. I was very happy and he was ok. He was well fed and even put on weight. I would recommend this care home. Five stars for all the staff. Well done.
My husband became a resident at Wyndford Locks in early January 2025. He was 87, had had a couple of falls at home and needed more professional care than I was able to give. It was very sad to see him leave our marital home. But the care, love and compassion shown to him at Wyndford Locks made the seperation more bearable. He was treated with dignity and shown such affection, and just as importantly, the degree and expertise of nursing staff was exceptional.
I feel the staff do a good job of looking after my mum's needs and I appreciate their patience when doing so. The maintenance staff are all helpful and friendly, the groundskeeper does a fantastic job and is super friendly too. The office staff are all very approachable and the managers have an open door policy if you have any queries. The only negative I have is the home could do with a refurb as the bedroom furniture and fittings are a bit tired and worn.
Was anxious when my sister was coming in for respite! What a joy to see her settle in and state every member of staff was so caring and kind. Would have no hesitation in future as this has been a very pleasant experience for patient and her relatives. Thank you all for looking after my sister so well.
My mum recently went into this care home, the care my mum is getting is 100%. I wish I had moved her earlier but she's in better care than before. I can't fault anything about the home, they let family know if there is any changes or issues, and doctor sees patients regularly.
My Dad was resident at Wynford Locks Care Home for over 2 years and had the best care. His room overlooked the lovely garden. My Dad was happy and content and well looked after until his sudden passing in October. The staff always made sure Dad was happy and made the walk to the dining room, they were always friendly too. They kept in regular contact to let me know how my dad was keeping.
The home itself is good, it could do with an upgrade in certain areas, the staff that are there are good with the residents, the outside ie gardens are kept really well, big thanks to all the staff and gardener for keeping on top of this.
The staff are great but I feel as though there could be a bit more activities to keep the residents engaged. Especially in the evenings. Also the decoration could do with being refreshed. Overall I'm satisfied with the level of care given.
I live in Northern Ireland so can only visit my brother infrequently, but a cousin in Airdrie visits more regularly. I am more than happy with the feedback that I get from Wynford despite the distance. This includes regular updates on his condition and requests to approve any treatments, such as vaccinations.
The staff at the Robert Graham House at Wyndford Locks who take care of my mother (she is 88 and has dementia and has been a resident for six months) are very kind and professional. I am very glad that she is in a safe and caring environment.
As we live about 200 miles from the home and due to age are not able to visit more than once every 6 weeks or so it's important to us that we have confidence in the care my sister receives. When I call the home I'm always given a true up-to-date report on my sister's progress, and when I visit the same. All the staff seem friendly and have an interest in the ones in their care.
My father has sadly passed now. I can honestly say that the care he received in Maryhill House Wynford Locks, was excellent. When he first arrived there in 2021, he had a high level of paranoia. He was later given antiscicotics to help. The staff were very understanding of his needs and tried to accommodate him as best they could. He was diagnosed with heart failure 10 years ago when he was 81. He gradually lost all mobility over the years, was incontinent and not the easiest to care for, but I saw lots of patient care and consideration and compassion for him during his stay. They were very open to suggestions from myself and my partner, to use uro sheaths to help with his incontinence and skin care. I am very grateful to all the lovely staff that helped him. Thank you.
My mother has been a resident of Wyndford Locks for more than 6 years and I have never failed to be impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all of the staff. By this I mean not only the staff in the care units but the ground, kitchen, cleaners and admin staff as well. It's not the easiest of jobs and I'm sure that most, if not all, relatives would agree that the staff are worth their weight in gold and should be paid accordingly. It is very stressful when you realise that you cannot care for your loved one any more and that they need more than you can provide but if you find the right care home it lifts that guilt and stress. A big thank you to all of the staff from our family.
Care staff always very friendly. They have always kept communications with me for any information about my gran. I find the staff know my gran and her personality very well, and my gran seems to respond well to them. Definetly the best staff and nurses I have come across in care settings.
Happy with the overall care, excellent staff, and always meets our needs.
The home provides a good service. The staff are hardworking and helpful. Everyone does their best to offer the best care they can even in difficult circumstances. My mother gets the best care and I am happy with the care. She had celebrated her 90th birthday and the staff did their best in organising the party.
The manager of the care home has done so much to help with my husband moving in. She was so helpful with all the paperwork too. She was lovely and helped to answer all my questions. I could not have done it without her.
My mother-in-law has been here for just over a year she has settled in and is flourishing due to the care and attention from all the staff. She truly has a new lease of life and has put on weight enjoys her tine and has become more sociable. The staff are very engaging and always acknowledged residents even if only in the passing. A very caring environment.
Very happy with everything with my mother's care. Nothing seems to be a bother for the staff and my mother seems happy and settled.
Mum has been a resident for just over a year now and from the first moment we walked in we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff. The staff always says hello and how are you.. they do an excellent job. Very easy to approach and talk to with any questions we may have about Mum. We are very happy with the care she receives.
