I really feel that the staff have got to know and understand my husband in the three months he has been here. They are caring and knowledgeable and always prepared to listen to my questions and concerns. He is always clean and smart and the staff have tried hard to provide a diet that he enjoys. I have great confidence too in the links with the local surgery. He is always treated with dignity and respect.

We have had an excellent experience here. My mother-in-law has been here for twenty-nine months. The staff are caring and kind. Nothing has been "too much trouble". The home is clean and tidy. There is outside space to sit in when the Scotland weather permits. The activity side has improved as we have been here. We have been so impressed by the caring and kind attitude of the staff in this lovely home. I would be happy here if I had to go into 'long-term care'.

I feel compelled to write to say how much I appreciate the commitment of person-centred care all the staff give at Birdston Care Home, it helps to make it feel like a family and Mum absolutely loves all the thoughtful activities that are put on for the residents. Birdston Care Home is the best by far and I cannot thank you all enough.

The facilities at Birdston are excellent and the team provided my father with exceptional care, respect, and compassion throughout his time there. My father settled in immediately and felt at home from the earliest stages of his time at Birdston. He was cared for tenderly and personally by the wonderful nursing staff to whom our family is forever grateful.

My family and I would like to express our most sincere thanks and gratitude to all nursing and support staff at Birdston Care Home while offering palliative care for my father over 18 months. It was humbling to witness the extent to which all staff dedicated their time - and often going above and beyond - to the gentle care of residents under challenging circumstances. The personal bonds that were formed between my father and staff were truly special - founded on respect, trust, sensitivity and humour - and offered great comfort for all. Visiting Birdston was always a pleasure as the facilities are exceptional and staff would go out of their way to help and make the family feel comfortable at any time of day or night. We could not recommend Birdston Care Home more highly. It is with sadness that we no longer visit to see staff and to thank them again for everything they did to make my Father's time with them the very best it could possibly be. Thank you!

Since my relative arrived in Birdston, I have been very pleased with the care and attention received. The staff have treated him well and with respect. They have always been very helpful to me and other family members and have kept us well informed of any matters that we need to be aware of.

My Father is sensitively cared for and survived Covid and multiple infections at that time, despite being unvaccinated, due, in the main to the care received.

Extremely happy with the care provided for my mum. Birdston Care Home is scrupulously clean and well-run - feels like a small boutique hotel. Communication from staff about any issues arising is fast and clear. In summary, very pleased and couldn't ask for more.

Outstanding staff who were excellent supportive communicators with the family and my mother, particularly during challenging circumstances. Programme was perfect to suit needs of participants, diverse and entertaining. Social interaction throughout was outstanding. I would defo recommend on every count: - value for money. - supportive staff. - outstanding communication. - suitability and diversity of programme for clients.

My wife was shown extreme consideration, affection and comforting care during her stay at Birdstone especially during the decline period of her terminal palliative care by a great collective of empathetic staff.

When I came here at first I immediately felt at home and the feeling has increased. I can't imagine not living here. The care staff are remarkable. I've never seen anyone feeling neglected. Everyone is made welcome here. I could write pages on the cleanliness of the place, the place is gleaming. A wonderful desirable residence.

The home is very comfortable and spacious. The staff are pleasant and attentive. I am kept well informed of matters relating to my mother.

My husband previously used Day Care and the respite facilities here but he is now in long term care and I must say, the care and compassion being shown by all the staff is so very reassuring to me and beneficial to my husband. I can rest easy knowing he's being well looked after.

My mother has lived in Birdston for 2 years and 5 months. Her care has been excellent as the manager, nurses and carers including kitchen, cleaning and gardeners have worked together to make sure she has been comfortable throughout her stay. I do feel however that individual activities have been lacking and not fully meeting her needs.

Overall good although staff sometimes not aware of having to leave the phone next to my mother and or not making sure the phone is working. Attention to detail.
