Cannot fault this care home in any way. Excellent facilities and programme of activities to keep residents entertained but also not forced on them to participate. Rooms are well-equipped, staff are friendly and attentive and residents are provided with a variety of meals.

My father moved in to Buchanan House Care Home in November this year, after suffering a major stroke. The care home is located well for us, as we live in the local area. Since moving my father in, the staff have made the transition so smoothly. The staff are amazing at what the do, two staff members who are the activities coordinators, are really well suited for the job, and the fun they put into everything, is so good to see. The food is fantastic, freshly cooked. The team are overall fantastic, nothing is a an issue, and they work very hard, and make a lovely home environment for all. Thank you.

My brother requires quite extensive physical and emotional support due to his conditions and I feel that he gets this very well within the care home and the back-up medical facilities. The staff are always very helpful and polite.

I have been very impressed by the care given to my dad since he entered Buchanan House Care Home. All members of staff have been friendly and considerate and have looked after my dad with kindness and professionalism. They have listened supportively to any suggestions I have made and have acted promptly to support me with any request. I feel relieved that we made the decision to transfer my dad's care to Buchanan House and feel confident that his needs will continue to be met compassionately while he remains within this care home.

My mum was an emergency admission after a rapid deterioration of her health. Buchanan House staff were very helpful in the administration of her admission and came out to visit her in her flat. The home was very welcoming and always seemed clean and well organised, and the staff have been excellent in settling Mum in. Every time we visit, Mum is never sitting in her room by herself. We have seen a marked improvement in her speech, which we think is due to the constant stimulation. The lounge/TV area is never over-busy or overwhelming and feels quite homely. It's good for visiting, and there is a private separate area if required for visits. Mum seems well looked after, the food seems good, and the staff are very friendly. Already she has had her hair and nails done twice and taken part in several activities, including a visit to the transport museum. The main thing for us is that she is now safe, especially at night, and there seems to be plenty of staff about to keep an eye on her.

Staff are all very friendly and caring towards myself and the resident I take out every week he seems very happy and extremely content with the service that is provided, I have spoken to several residents who seem to be very happy in Buchanan House.

We pick a resident up once a week to take him out for lunch. Before picking him up, we phone Buchanan House to ensure that he's fit to go out. The manager and staff are all very pleasant, professional and helpful to deal with. I can't praise them enough.

All the staff have been great, very welcoming to my aunt. Recently attended a cocktail evening, great singer. My aunt has settled in quicker than I thought she would have. Always lots of staff happy to assist.

Excellent care home. My mother's now been at Buchanan House for over 2 years. Excellent activities team who all give 100% every day. Carers are wonderful and treat my mother as one of their own. Always kept in touch about any problems with my mother from nurses and managers. I always know my mother is well cared for and made to feel at home.

My mum continually receives the best care. She is happy and content and considers all the staff her friends as they are friendly and caring. Although she enjoys being taken out for a coffee, she loves her family visiting in the conservatory for tea and cake. The staff are so attentive and know what she likes and dislikes. The care home uses social media well to document activities on a daily basis. My mum loves having her photo taken and regularly asks to see if there are photos of her on there. It is lovely to see her happy icing biscuits or having a visit from the local nursery children. While away on holiday recently, I was content in the knowledge that she was being well looked after and receiving great care. I am regularly kept up to date with my mum's well-being and any queries/questions I have are addressed immediately. It is definitely the best care home for my mum.

Comfortable and homely surroundings. Staff are genuine and brilliant. The personal care and attention are priceless. Would recommend to anyone looking for care facilities in the area. The cocktail party with entertainer was a fantastic touch. Five-star.

I have visited a close family friend a number of times. Very impressed with the care and compassion shown to all residents. All staff are very friendly and approachable. I have also been fortunate enough to be at the home when entertainment was provided. Tonight's cocktail party was superb and enjoyed by residents, visitors and staff! A big thank you to all. Keep up the good work.

My husband is still settling into his new situation, but overall has been treated with such kindness and dignity since his arrival. Staff go above and beyond in every aspect of his care. He is always clean and tidy and warm and comfortable. No complaints regarding the quality of foods available at all mealtimes all of which are well presented and served on matching crockery. Lovely home baking daily for afternoon tea! Wide range of activities and entertainment every day. It's a breath of fresh air to hear the way all the staff from the kitchen, cleaning, laundry, and nursing/ care staff speak and respond to the residents. No care home is ideal for your family member but Buchanan House is I'm sure the best we could have hoped for.

The care Dad is receiving is amazing and the staff (all the staff) are wonderful and just treat my dad as a person and care for him as he should be. Care was a last option for us as a family, but Buchanan House has shown us as a family it was the best and only option for him. I can leave knowing he is cared for and loved by all. Thank you Buchanan House for all you do for Dad.

The staff are friendly, cheerful and efficient. Any issues we may have are addressed and reviews required on my mother's health and actioned as quickly as possible. The room is comfortable and warm, and the admin team is efficient and welcoming. All in all, the staff endeavour to make my mother's stay for all concerned as easy as it can be at this difficult time.

I’m very happy with the care my elderly mum is receiving in Buchanan House Care Home. The management and staff are excellent and very approachable if I have any issues regarding my mum. We are having regular meetings with the manager as to what is happening in the home.

We were very pleased every time a member of our family visited Buchanan House Care Home. Staff are always so helpful. The resident was always up, dressed and clean. He seemed settled and happy and able to join in as and when was appropriate.

My sister-in-law has been in Buchanan House Care Home for several months now and is there on a permanent basis. She has settled well and is very happy with the care she receives. She likes the food very much and is pleased with the programme of outings and entertainment which the staff put on. My wife and I are impressed by the friendly and compassionate care given to the residents and appreciate all the hard work put in.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, showing the visitors to their seats and bringing glasses of wine and tea or coffee to drink. They remained professional at all times.
