View Full Details of Beechwood Care HomeMy mum moved into the care home in October 2024. Staff were extremely welcoming to both my mum and family. They go above and beyond to meet all needs. Staff are friendly and approachable. Care home staff provide a healthy and clean environment which ensures all residents are safe with their dignity maintained at all times. My mum appears happy and staff always encourage her to maintain her independence when she can. They update family on a regular basis with any change to care needs. Myself and my family are really happy with the level of care my mum receives.
Excellent standard of care provided. Staff go above to ensure a safe environment for residents and to ensure their needs are attended to. As a family, we are always made to feel welcome. My gran is always clean and tidy with her dignity maintained at all times. Care home is clean and tidy at all times and staff are always available if any support is required.
Very impressed by activities provided for residents, good mix of subjects and visits both in and out for them. I am aware of arts and crafts, visits to local amenities, pet and animal visits (also resident pet), sports and music.
Lovely care home. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. Rooms are a good size which you're allowed to do what you would like to make it comfortable for residents. Always have good activities for residents.
Staff are very caring and responsive to my aunt's needs while encouraging her to be as independent as she can. They have a lovely manner and are extremely patient with her. They have activities most days to make life interesting and she has had experiences she would never have had in her house, e.g. therapy pets or pantomime, all the while in a safer environment. I love going up to visit as it is such a calm, friendly atmosphere.
Words can't express the care that is given in this home, they give the residents 100%. I couldn't complain about anything, even when my brother passed away they were there for me and my family. If my brother wasn't feeling well they would phone and let you know and tell you that they would phone the doctor, even when you went to see your relative they would tell you how they were and if you would like to stay in the lounge or go to their room, if so they would take you to their room for you and ask if you would like a drink of tea, coffee or water.
The staff looked after my dad. The care and attention he received were fantastic and tailored to his needs. I can not thank the staff enough for the care they gave my dad but also the support they showed to myself and family.
The staff and surroundings are all excellent. It really is a home from home. The residents are treated as one big family and all staff give so much attention, care and love to all. There are plenty of activities both mental and physical which enable the residents to be stimulated. All furnishings are immaculately cared for, aiding the comfort of the residents and all needs and care are suited to each resident's particular requirements. The cleanliness of bedroom, en suit etc., is second to none. It is just like a luxury hotel more so, due to all the love that is given.
My mother-in-law recently passed away in the care home and I would just like to say how well she was looked after by all the staff as her health declined. As a family, we asked that she should not be taken to hospital as we wanted her to pass away where she had been really happy and comfortable, her home. The staff, from the girls and guys in her unit to the management, could not have been more caring to both her and to our family. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to them all.
Would like toilet to be upgraded, a repaint would be nice to freshen up facilities. Staff are always very helpful in all aspects of care. Food menu could do with more variety. Acftivities always very good. Could do with a visit from a GP when required, at the moment, only a photographer being sent to GP rather than a visit.
I find that the staff and management are very helpful. They can't do enough for you. Nothing seems to be any trouble. My wife can't say enough about them. She likes the food and staff. Before she came here I had to do everything for her, help with the toilet and she would not go outside. So the staff have turned that around.
My mother moved to this care home in January 2024. She has been treated with care and dignity. Our family has been treated the same and we were always welcomed into the care home with no restrictions. At first, we found it really difficult to accept our mother had to go into a care home but with the help of the staff, we soon settled down and so did our mother. Staff are friendly and had us in stitches most of the time. My mother became really ill and thankfully, the staff knew what she wanted (that she didn't want to go into hospital), they acted as her advocate until we got to the home where, a few days later, she peacefully passed away with the dignity and respect she deserved. Cannot express how happy we were with her care in this nursing home and the staff.
A very homely atmosphere. All the staff, housekeeping, kitchen, maintenance, administration, carers, and nurses talk to the residents in a cheerful manner. The management is innovative and always trying new ideas for the resident's quality of life.
My mother has been recently transferred to this facility from an NHS hospital. It has been a very friendly and welcoming environment for her and she is settling in well. There is a hairdressing facility and lots of weekly activities to take part in. The staff are very caring and attentive and always show a personal touch. We can’t thank them enough!
Very professional manager and deputy manager, settled us into the home, kept us up to date on my mother's progress whilst settling in as a new resident. Staff are all very pleasant and professional, nothing is too much bother for them.
Only issues I have with the time my brother spent at Beechwood Care Home, Wishaw, is that several designer clothes, jeans and underpants, that were clearly labelled from the start, went missing, never to return. I did enquire but to no avail. Also, the feet plates for his bespoke wheelchair for the shower were removed at some point and couldn't be found on the day of leaving which were difficult to source. Finally, I received a letter for a refund on his account from accounts addressing my late brother (assuming he was dead) which is not the case. Overall experience, not that great.
My sister is very happy and settled in Beechwood, and that is what we hoped for when we chose it when she was no longer able to stay at home. The staff are very friendly and always make us welcome when we visit. Our sister takes part in all the activities, and all resident's achievements are highlighted, eg, painting, singing, etc. We all have complete faith in the staff.
My cousin is very happy in the care home. My cousin settled into the home very well, she looks well and has gained weight and she enjoys the company. My cousin lived in her own home for 80 years but she is so happy in Beechwood Care Home.
My mother has only been in Beechwood Care Home for a few weeks, myself and other family members are very pleased with the care and attention that has been given to her by all staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. As far as I have seen they genuinely seem to love their residents.
As a regular visitor, from the moment I enter the front door, I get a sense of a very positive ethos of Beechwood Care Home. All staff are very welcoming and engaging. The entrance and downstairs foyer are spacious, free of clutter, very fresh and very clean. The exact same applies to the first floor. All staff know my sister and treat her with warmth and kindness, she talks about how kind and friendly they are all the time. They fully understand and meet her needs and ensure her dignity is a priority. Activities are stimulating, varied, lively and fun. Families are kept informed at all times.
