My mother is in Doonbank care home and I cannot thank the staff enough for their compassion and care my mother is receiving. Even before her admission the attention to her every need was catered for. She has settled in well and participates in activities that are provided. This is an excellent care facility. From management to cleaning staff they simply can't do enough for the residents.

My brother has been a resident in the home since 2007. In those 17 years, I have never had any minor or major complaints to make as to any aspects of his care. The caring environment is a very challenging one. Given the acute diversity of the needs of the people who live in Doonbank, it is amazing in the extreme, that the staff cope admirably with everything that is 'thrown' at them. Doonbank is not an old folk home. It is a sanctuary for people with complex needs. Some may have multiple long-term conditions, functional dependency and frailty. Dementia affects the majority of residents in care homes to a degree. Such are the challenges. The staff meet them head-on. I haven't been able to get to visit my brother as much as I'd like but I have every faith in the staff group that they'll contact me if there is a need to. I can say that confidently as that's the way it's been for 17 years. I rest easy knowing this. My brother rests easily too.

Unfortunately Mum passed away two weeks back, but I have to say I was really pleased with the excellent level of care that my mum received whilst at Doonbank. I know for a fact that she was very happy during her stay with you and the family will be ever grateful for the way that your staff interacted with her and made her stay as good as it possibly could have been.

Doonbank Care Home provides a safe and welcoming place for my dad. He seems happy so that is comforting for his family to know he is in safe hands. My dad needs prompting some times to put clean clothes on, other than that we are happy with the care he receives.

I am very pleased with the care provided at Doonbank Nursing Home. The home is always clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for the residents. The staff are generally approachable and show genuine care and compassion in their work, which really makes a difference. One small suggestion for improvement would be for the staff to spend more time sitting with the residents rather than congregating at a single table. This could enhance the sense of community and make residents feel even more included and supported. Overall, Doonbank Nursing Home is a wonderful place, and I feel reassured knowing my loved one is in good hands.

Cannot praise the staff and management of Doonbank enough in their care of my Aunt. Lots of activities for her to do and keep her stimulated. Friendly staff, great meals, homely rooms. Highly recommend Doonbank to anyone looking at a care home for a loved one.

My dad is a resident in Doonbank House and since admission to the home he has been treated with compassion and kindness. The staff team are professional and caring and treats all the residents so well. The environment is homely and the food is freshly made and dad speaks highly about it. There had been a weight lifted off my shoulders now as I know dad is no longer at risk on his own at home and I can relax and sleep at night now. I cannot thank the manager and the team enough!

My grandad was in Doonbank for a long period of time. The care he received was fantastic. All staff kept me informed and updated. He always appeared clean and tidy when I was in visiting if he didn't want something from the menu the kitchen staff were amazing in making him what he wanted. Staff were all professional and you could tell they really cared for every resident.

My relative has been here since 2010. I am very impressed and satisfied with all her care and well-being. The staff are friendly, helpful and considerate. The home is always clean and the rooms are well looked after. Any concerns are always relayed by staff to me and communication is great. Can't thank all the management and staff enough, they do an outstanding job!

Words cannot express the way I feel about all of the staff at Doonbank. They are exceptionally caring and show much patience with Dad. My dad has been doing activities and outings that I never thought he would do again, along with some new ones. The staff are also an amazing support system for both my brother and myself in many different ways, which I in particular find very comforting.

My mum moved to Doonbank Care Home in challenging circumstances but has really settled in and is improving. She is well cared for by kind and thoughtful staff and it is the little things that make a big difference - a kind word; taking time to ensure her clothes match; putting on her makeup and charging her phone. She enjoys a comfortable room, good food and socialising. The staff work so hard and this is appreciated by my mum and her loved ones. She is treated with dignity and respect - what more could she ask for?

My wife's mother had a stroke and passed away on 7th November. Due to the Covid restrictions, I had to telephone this news to my wife. The comfort and support my wife received over this period was outstanding. My last outside visit, last week, found the staff very supportive to both of us and I expect it will be the same this week. Excellent work by all concerned.

I am very happy with the care my mother has at Doonbank Care Home from staff and management a lot of care and support is given to my mother. The staff are excellent to the needs of my mother, and not just my mother, but to all the residents at the care home.

I cannot praise each and every member of the team highly enough. At the very outset of my mum's admission to Donnbak Care Home, it was made clear to my family that this was now Mum's home and was to be treated as such. She had been cared for from the outset as if she is family, and it's only because of the care and attention she had received from day 1 that we still have her in our lives. I would recommend this care home to anyone who has the difficult decision to make for loved ones, as they will receive excellent care. During these current times, Doonbank Care Home has adopted and operated to the highest standards of professionalism whilst adhering to Government guidance.

The care, safety and wellbeing of my uncle have been excellent. Despite very difficult times, the staff have always displayed a very positive attitude, reassuring families that their loved ones are being well cared for. Excellent care home, excellent provider and first-class staff. Thank you to all at Doonbank.
