View Full Details of Arran View Care HomeSince my partner has been in Arran View Care Home, I have had peace of mind. At first it was very sad to have to leave her there, but they say time is a great healer, as the time went on I felt more comfortable leaving my partner in safe, good surroundings, friendly caring staff, everyone has been first class, the compassion they show is excellent, very friendly, cleanliness is 100% can't fault Whiting Bay at all. I would love to name some of the staff who deserve a special mention but they know who they are, no problems with this care home at all. 100% Well Done.
All staff are competent and friendly. My stepdad is well cared for and more. Staff go out of their way to accommodate his wishes (within reason). Myself and my mum have absolutely no complaints and could not have picked a better home for him.
My husband is in the new under 65s unit and I can not recommend it enough. The staff have been outstanding and made sure my kids and I are always involved and included. My husband has settled so well and we are delighted. Thank you!
My husband has been a resident at Arran View Care Home for the last two and a half years. I have always found the staff to be caring and extremely kind to all the residents and their relatives. The staff are always available to speak to me and discuss my husband. My only objection is the lack of money that Bupa has invested in Arran View in recent years, but plans are in place for investment in the future.
Always clean and tidy. Staff always polite and helpful.
I find the staff, nursing, carers and housekeepers are always on hand to assist my wife's needs. They are always very attentive they also always keep us updated on her health and wellbeing. They treat her with dignity at all times.
I am completely happy with my mum's care. She is well looked after and her care is well taken care of.
My aunt was in Arran View for five and a half years and the care given to her by the staff was excellent. She suffered from dementia and the staff in Lochranza unit were fantastic with her. She passed away on the 29/08/19 and the support from the staff to our family was brilliant. The way they looked after my auntie in her final days was very comforting to us and my aunt. I cannot praise them enough.
Staff friendly and quick to recognise Mum's needs, which made her settle in quickly. Clean and tidy environment. They made Mum welcome. Room homely and suitable for her needs.
Staff in my father's care home are very nice, phone me when dad is not himself and keep me updated. He is well fed and clean and tidy and make him feel he is at home.
I feel that all the staff in my mother's unit are extremely helpful and caring to my mother's needs.
Girls all great. Room very comfortable. Of course, I would rather be at home, but I like it here.
As a care home, (and I was a carer working in a care home) it beats all the standards of care given, lovely surroundings, pleasant and helpful people. Excellent care to my Mum. First class etc. Thank you.
I am the daughter of a service user, and as a carer, I know what to look for in a nursing home. Arran View and staff are very satisfactory in my opinion. My mother is always clean and tidy and her room is clean and tidy. I have no concerns about the staff. I find them friendly and professional.
In my opinion, there is not enough staff on a day shift.
I am very happy with the care given to my husband who can do nothing for himself. He is content and well looked after. I get regular feedback from carers and nurses which is reassuring.
I am generally satisfied with the care my husband receives. My one concern is the shortage of staff. He is in a dementia unit and residents needs can be demanding. I feel a unit like this should have more staff. Staff are excellent and perform well under sometimes difficult and stressful conditions.
I have been visiting my aunt in Arran View for 18 months and, in my view, being clean, well fed and having a nice room, is great, but more important is a hug and a smile from a carer. My aunt loved to be out and about all her life which is not possible now. But in Arran View every Tuesday, they have a tearoom in another block from 2-4pm. It's so nice to have tea, coffee, cakes etc and a wee chat. The activity staff do a good job with entertainers coming in and having a sing-along. I find it wonderful that people who don't remember what happened yesterday, know all the words to the songs and to see the residents smiling is so lovely.
99%of the staff are very helpful and caring, but there is always one who spoils it. The food is edible but served on cold plates, unacceptable. It is a very long day. It would be very helpful if there was more than one shower room.
I am very happy with the care and attention my sister receives. The staff are excellent.
