My husband only been in for a week, delighted with the care , the staff amazing, Carers told me this is an extension of your home, how good is that. What else can I say .it is excellent. , for me my family and visitors all made so welcome .thanks

My husband was a resident of Cumbrae Lodge Care Home for a year ending 2023. His care was exemplary. The staff were absolutely brilliant so caring, they did everything they could to make his time so caring, I cannot fault anything. Cumbrae Lodge is fantastic they supported me so much, it was like a home from home. They always made me welcome, in fact I still visit twice a week because they made me feel so welcome. Sadly I have no family local, so the manager and staff are a lifeline.

Myself and our family are so happy with the care and help our family member receives. We have noticed how well he is looking, and the staff and management are very easy to approach. We are so grateful that a placement came up when it did.

Since my father in law has come to Cumbrae Lodge Care Home we have been so happy with his care and well being. It's a credit to all your staff in the Kyle suite. Always a warm welcome when entering or leaving the home that leads me to believe that all staff in your home are a credit to Cumbrae Lodge.

The care home is very clean and tidy at all times all staff are very welcoming and friendly. There is great choice of good food and activities. My family member is always well presented and clean his bedroom is kept very tidy.

Cumbrae Lodge is a marvellous care home. From entering the building you are very aware of the friendly, happy atmosphere. Everyone you pass says hello and is friendly and welcoming. The staff caring for the residents know them all very well and all their little ways. They keep you fully up to date with how my Dad has been and always seem to enjoy friendly chats with everyone in the room. The care home is always spotless and the bedrooms are cosy and inviting. There always seems to be loads of activities for the residents to take part in and enjoy. There are lovely gardens to enjoy when the weather is good. The manager is friendly and always has time for a chat and answers any questions I may have. The laundry, housekeeping and kitchen staff all do a great job. The happy atmosphere is all over the care home and really does make it a home from home.

My husband has been a resident in Cumbrae Lodge Care Home for three and a half years now and I am very happy with the care he has been receiving. All the care staff, activities team and management are really friendly and work hard to look after the residents. I have no hesitation in recommending Cumbrae Lodge to anyone looking for a care home for a family member.

My brother is now on his second week in Cumbrae Lodge Care Home and we are both very happy with all the staff and the care that he is receiving. A happy brother makes all his family very happy.

It’s paramount to me that my mum receives love and respect and care, and I feel she gets this in Cumbrae Lodge. I have a very good relationship with carers and management and we have a good understanding. I find everyone approachable and helpful in all aspects. The activity team are absolutely fabulous and goes beyond their jobs, the entertainment is really good and take great time to involve, invite and inform the families of all their activities and events. We are all made most welcome and thoroughly enjoy these events.

I cannot fault the care that has been shown to my dad. The carers are very caring and listen to any concerns we have. We are also very happy to hear that a particular member of staff has been appointed manager as she is an asset to the home.

My husband has been a resident in Cumbrae Lodge Care Home since September 2019. His care is second to none. I know he is safe and so well looked after by the dedicated staff, and that helps me a lot. It's so easy to keep in touch, and nothing is too much trouble. The Facebook page is wonderful and really keeps you in touch with what's going on, and it's great to see everyone having a good time. It's lovely to see all the smiling faces. I'm so grateful to all the staff for the way they make the residents feel special.

Having been in the shielding group since March 2020 I had not seen my husband so was very concerned, as his initial treatment was atrocious. A change of management, along with some staff has made such a difference. I am able to speak to him by phone now and even had a face to face visit - 2m distance - he looked very well, happy, content. The staff nurse (new) and carer workers are doing a great job now.

My husband has been in Cumbrae Lodge now for some years and I have never had cause to worry about any aspect of his provision. The surroundings are lovely, warm and inviting and the decor is kept spotless and modern. Staff are angels - every one of them and they are always so friendly, welcoming and informative. It is sad that my husband could no longer be cared for at home but I could not have asked for a better alternative. I would give Cumbrae Lodge the highest accolade and have no hesitation in saying it has to be one of the best! Well done everyone and a massive thank you from my daughter and me.

The care and support my wife receives at Cumbrae Lodge Care Home has been excellent in the past year, considering the very challenging circumstances the staff have faced this year. My wife is always clean and well presented, and any issues flagged up to myself. Given the lack of visiting over the past year, understandably, I would suggest more written communication from management.

Dad became poorly very quickly and we were totally unprepared. The care and support given at Cumbrae Lodge have been above and beyond. Have visited Dad regularly and always find the staff with a smile on their face and never a raised voice. I am kept up to date with all health issues concerning Dad. So pleased Dad got into Cumbrae Lodge as we know he is being well looked after.

I am extremely pleased with how my father is doing in this lovely home. He seems very happy and well cared for. The staff/carers and managers are wonderful, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Fantastic work being done in this home and many thanks from a residents daughter.

Staff on Islay unit are so kind and respectful to Mum - we can tell that she has a real affection for them. They know exactly how to humour her if she's in a mood and she's quickly smiling again. She always looks clean and her bedroom is spotless. The team give us regular updates and are very welcoming when we visit. As anyone who has cared for someone with dementia knows, you need endless patience and compassion and the team at Islay demonstrate that in abundance. We are so grateful to them.

I have had no problems with this care home. A bit dated but the staff in Kyle unit are amazing.

Myself and my family visit my husband regularly in Cumbrae Lodge. The care receives is excellent. The staff dedicated and nothing is too much trouble for anyone from the management down. I couldn't recommend this care home highly enough.

My mother suffers from acute vascular dementia and is subject to constant shouting and declaiming. She has been 'exited' from 6 nursing and 1 residential home. We were in despair until she moved to Cumbrae Lodge. That was 6 months ago. Her treatment in the Jura Wing has been the best she has ever received; the staff, without exception, have been paragons of patience and kindness.
