The standard of palliative care at Creggan Bahn is excellent. My mother's needs were anticipated and addressed by the in-house nurses without having to wait for district nurses to arrive. The basic nursing care provided by carers was second to none allowing my mother to have a peaceful and dignified death. I can't thank staff enough.

Very well looked after, had a very big operation on bowel in September. Spent three weeks at Creggan Bahn. My husband has been there for nearly two years.

My dad has been in Creggan Bahn Court for 17 months. He is very well cared for and is happy with his care. One area of improvement would be to stimulate dad more. He loves doing crosswords, playing cards and watching football and cricket on TV. Unfortunately, he no longer does his Herald crossword or read his daily newspaper. It would be great if he could spend more time with able residents.

Our mum moved into Creggan Bahn Court around 3 years ago and very sadly passed away last month. Mum had always very much valued her independence so after a series of falls, hospital stays and becoming wheelchair bound, it was tough for her to give up this independence for full time care. It definitely took time and a few bumps in the road to adjust to a new life dependent on others for just about every basic need. But the care mum received was excellent. However I am almost lost for words to describe just how exceptional the nursing staff were towards the end of mum's life. They made sure mum was always pain free and at the end peaceful and very comfortable. I'm sure most people - as indeed I - had rarely thought about what 'end of life' actually means. All I can say is, you want the kind of experience, expertise and loving care this nursing team devote to you at the end. Their support of us as a family and the care, tenderness and concern for my mum still brings a lump to my throat.

My parents moved into Creggan Bahn Court in November 2023 and I have been so impressed with the level of communication, care, and compassion our family has received from our first inquiry until now. My Mum sadly passed away in February and the staff were absolutely phenomenal in the way they cared for us as a family but especially the care and empathy shown to my Dad. It was a huge comfort to my sister and me that we knew he had support, care, and people to talk to in the home. Also, the level of care for my mum, who was quite unwell and bed-bound after she arrived, was fantastic in the short time she was there. Since then my Dad has settled well and enjoys activities, especially playing dominoes with other residents in the evening and getting out on the rickshaw bike along the seafront. The food is good and all the staff have been so welcoming, friendly, approachable, and professional. Thank you so much for all the care you have given us. I would highly recommend this care home.

Of course, there are niggles here and there. These should not diminish the exceptionally high standards overall. The "House matron" alone is juggling general balls in the air at one time all day effortlessly. I hope my impression is not alone. I think clients, visitors, and staff seem to echo my views expressed.

I love Creggan Bahn Court. From my very first enquiry to the present day, I am continually impressed by the quality of the nursing care that my mum receives. All the staff, from the top to the bottom, are very friendly and supportive and nothing is too much trouble. They know all their residents and their families well and strive to meet all their needs and requirements. In my opinion, because of the excellent nursing care, I feel that my mother's general health has greatly improved since she became a resident here. Thank you all for your wonderful care and service.

Our friend became a resident at Creggan Bahn in January this year. This has been a very difficult time for us all. All staff have been very kind and supportive to us as a family. Any issues have been dealt with immediately. Creggan Bahn certainly aims to make you feel relaxed and that this is a home-from-home. We feel we have made the right decision to have our dear friend a resident here. We can only express our grateful thanks to all.

My mum and dad came to stay in Creggan Bahn in November and sadly my mum passed away in February. Even though she was only there for a short time the staff really got to know her and her care was of the highest standard. The care she received at the end of her life and the care and empathy shown to us as a family, particularly my dad, both at the time and subsequently has been exemplary. Creggan Bahn staff do not treat their residents as merely residents and this is a place where the ethos from the top down is definitely putting the care into care home. Thank you all.

I am completing this review as POA for a resident who has been a resident since October 2023. I am very impressed with her care throughout this period and the friendly atmosphere always evident on our frequent visits. She is being very well looked after in a delightful, comfortable environment which is what is required.

Excellent care around the time of the death of my mother-in-law. All staff showed exemplary care of her and her husband, and were sensitive and supportive of them and the close family. This extended to taking the trouble to ensure my wife had food and drink in the middle of the night, initially contacting the funeral directors, and explaining all processes and procedures carefully, calmly and respectfully, in advance of anything being done. The staff managed to combine complete professionalism with a genuine emotional empathy, and were friendly and supportive throughout. This is a great tribute to the ethos, training and culture of the care home.

A big thank you to all members of staff at Creggan Bahn Nursing Home for the amazing care, compassion, kindness and friendship they gave my relatives and all the family over the last 11 years. The dedication and love they showed Mum and Dad shone through on every visit and will always be remembered and appreciated.

Creggan Bahn Court is a caring, luxurious environment for my family member. It offers stimulating activities when residents are able to take part. All staff are caring and approachable and try their best. The food is well presented and prepared, offering assistance if required. The environment is clean and warm. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

A very well run home, allowing me peace of mind. I totally trust them with the care of my mother. The environment is luxe whilst also being practical, a special place run by special people. The management is sound and the team work well together, establishing good relations with the residents. There is good transparency and good comms with the family.

Father in need of much nursing care. Nursing staff and Care staff have all been just terrific - on the ball, caring, empathetic, encouraging and communicative to Dad and to the family. He says that they are "his superb team" and he's not wrong! Splendid ambience, and fabulous food. Staff are thoroughly wonderful, somehow remembering who we all are, and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. A thoroughly lovely place, and people.

A lovely home surrounded by lovely carers and nursing staff. Very high standard of food and you can request a special meal. Nothing is a bother, just ask. How about a run to a seaside town with your afternoon tea included? The grounds are wonderful just to wander about and gardening classes are held to plant primroses. Pansy and Viola etc. Very peaceful and you always enjoy a lovely welcome from the staff with each visit.

Mum has had a really good time at Creggan Bahn. She enjoyed all of the activities over Christmas and New Year, although even she had had enough singing. The staff look after her so well; there is a clear rapport between her and all those looking after her. The nursing staff are so helpful in looking after her, and the kitchen provides her with a very specific diet.

Excellent service from all departments. Nursing, caring, catering and activities. Also, if my cousin needs anything fitted or moved in his room the maintenance person is always eager to help. Could be doing with more staff to ease the pressure on the existing staff. My cousin is well cared for which eases the family's mind. Thank you.

All I can say is, you want the kind of experience, expertise and loving care this nursing team devote to you at the end. I love Creggan Bahn Court. From my very first enquiry to the present day, I am continually impressed by the quality of the nursing care that my mum receives.
