View Full Details of Bridge View House Care HomeDad moved to Bridge View House Care Home in February 2024. He’s experienced significant health and mobility decline in a very short time, so readjusting to this and his new home is very hard for him. The nursing care to get the correct mix of medication to manage pain and alert and awake has been exemplary. Every single team member has taken time and is still taking time to get to know him and support him. Nothing is too much trouble and the attention to provide individual care and attention is excellent. My dad greets some of the team like his grandkids, he loves seeing them and when he is welcomed back in after a day out, he genuinely feels the “love” which is reassuring for us, as a family. The team have set a high bar and our expectations are high because of the great job they have done in this short space of time.
Our stepdad thought of Bridgeview as his home, the manager and her team gave him excellent care. Such a friendly care home, staff so approachable with any worries we had, and nothing was too much trouble, it gave us peace of mind to know he was very well cared for.
Bridge View became my dad’s home in September 2023. The staff have taken time to get to know him (and us) to meet his needs. He took very unwell last week and the nurses and care staff took such good care of him and supported him to make a full recovery. The deputy manager is so approachable and has answered any questions I’ve had. I work in the care sector and am aware of the expected standards and can highly recommend Bridge View.
My mum was only in Bridge View House Care Home for three weeks but the care was exemplary. The staff were very caring of my mum and the rest of the family in the days before she passed away. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to spend as much time as we wanted with Mum. The standard of care was very high. Having worked many homes myself, it was the hardest decision ever but Bridge View House was an excellent choice.
Amazing staff, so friendly and caring, I love visiting and seeing all the happy faces of everyone there including the residents and staff. so much love and care is put into the work and I appreciate all the hard work!
My granny has been staying with the Bridge View family for nearly two years now. The care and support she gets from the management/staff is amazing! They support her dementia in every way they can. The activities they provide are amazing! Always have something on to suit each person and to make them feel special on special occasions.
Very happy with the care provided for Dad. All staff know Dad and his needs and moods! Activities are varied with something to suit all residents. Particularly like the therapy puppy and nursery children visits.
I have found the transition for Mum to be incredibly straightforward and the communication to be excellent. Mum settled so quickly and is so happy. The staff, without exception, are all so kind, caring and respectful. All requests are dealt with extremely promptly. Residents are treated as individuals and their needs are met as such. Dedicated staff and management, make this care home exceptional. Thank you.
My mother spent the last four months of her life in Bridge View and I cannot thank the staff enough for her care. She settled in well and enjoyed several months before she, unfortunately, passed away. She was happy and extremely well-fed. All the staff were friendly and cared for her every need. Any communication with the family was always dealt with quickly and there was never any issues regarding her care. It is always difficult having to place a family member in care, no matter the circumstances, but the staff at Bridge View helped the whole family adjust to my mother being in a care home.
I previously left a review but feel I want to send a further review as unfortunately my Mum recently passed. The staff at Bridge View House Care Home could not have been more helpful. I want to say a huge “Thank You” to all the staff who cared for my Mum. Especially those who ‘fluffed’ her pillows. They will know who they are as she was very particular about her pillows. I can’t thank the staff enough for the care they gave Mum during her final days. She had her favourites, I know I’m not allowed to name individuals, but I can honestly say the care she was given made me feel she was comfortable at all times. They were also always there for me, even a cuddle when required.
My husband was in Bridge View care home for 8 weeks of respite care. He was given the very best care from every member of staff, everyone was kind, caring and very professional. There was a lovely Jubilee afternoon tea garden party and it was excellent and very well attended. The kitchen staff went all out, as did the nurses and carers. My husband's health improved rapidly in their care and we will always be grateful, and thankful, for his respite care at Bridgeview.
My one-hundred-year-old mother-in-law is extremely well looked after by all the staff at Bridge View. I worried she may not settle as she loved her independence but she really loves all her carers who all treat her like a friend and with great dignity. She enjoys attending parties in the lounge and always looks so well in the photos of the activities.
I am happy with the care my gran is receiving. She is very happy here and the staff are really friendly and kind. My gran is liking it here.
My experience with Bridge View Care Home has been outstanding, every member of staff was excellent and a few really stood out more than others. The care my dad received was 5 star, it's like a family and you feel really at home and included, nothing was too much trouble and all wishes met. My dad felt really comfortable there and he had lots of banter and laughs with staff, he had a few favourites right up to the end of my dad's life he was well cared for.
My Mum has been a resident at Bridge View care home since November 2019. What strikes you first about the care home and was the main reason we chose it for Mum is that it has a homely feel about it. Others we looked at felt cold and clinical but Bridge View felt welcoming and someplace that I thought Mum could happily call 'home'. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and we knew we'd made the right choice at an early stage. Since then we have gone through the worst of times with the pandemic but as we come out of that I can only say that my Mum is happy and feels at home. I dreaded putting my Mum in a care home but she is so well cared for and much happier now. I can thoroughly recommend Bridge View to anyone - they are a kind and caring bunch and go out of their way to make my Mum and me (when I visit) feel at home.
My mother has lived at Bridge View care home for over a year now. She is really happy there. She has a lovely room, gets good food, her laundry is done and her room is cleaned for her. The staff are wonderful - patient, kind, caring and most are fun-loving. Entertainment and activities are provided (under normal circumstances) and the care home staff are always open to new ideas. They go out of their way to accommodate, for example, during lockdown they set up Skype calls and when we weren't allowed into the home due to COVID restrictions and had to stand outside, they set up a system with microphones/speakers whereby residents and their visitors could communicate with one another. I have selected everything as excellent apart from value for money which I have said is 'good' and this is because I feel that the weekly cost for self-funding residents is extortionate and unfairly distributed (ie people who don't have assets or didn't own their own home are funded by the council).
My mother who is 98 years old has been a resident at Bridge View House Care Home for just over three years. During this time she has received excellent care and has always been treated with dignity and respect by all the wonderful staff in a warm and friendly environment. I am kept fully updated and immediately made aware of any changes or concerns. The staff have been exemplary during the Covid-19 pandemic. In the past we visited mum daily – unfortunately, due to sight and hearing impairments, video calls and window visits are not a success. We miss contact with mum and look forward to normal visits resuming. The new manager and her staff are all very friendly and approachable. Thank you for all the care, kindness and support you provide to mum and the family - this is very much appreciated.
My mum is currently in Bridge View House for respite care and to be assessed after a recent fall, where she broke her wrist. She has Alzheimer's and we were all needing to understand her care needs going forward. My sister and I have been very impressed with the manager and her team, the support that my mum has been given has been excellent. Any teething difficulties we have had have been dealt with quickly and very positively. All of the staff we have met have treated my mum with care and dignity and the activity coordinators have really helped a very resistant mum to get more involved in what's been going on. I can't thank the manager and her team enough and would highly recommend Bridge View House to others. Thank you.
My mum has been in Bridge View for a few weeks now and seems to have settled in well. Always seems happy. Although we haven't been in the home yet due to guidelines, management and staff are all very nice and always take the time to talk to me if I have any concerns.
I find the staff are very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to put my mind at ease during a very worrying time. It is good to know my sister is being well looked after.
