On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to thank all the staff and managers of Cherryvalley Care Home for all the help and concern when my 90-year-old Mum injured her ankle. They all went above and beyond/ One nurse in particular was extremely helpful and I felt was the one who helped advise, and reassure me. I cannot say how the staff supported and now Mum has returned they are looking forward to nursing her back to good health.
Our dad has been a resident at Cherryvalley Care Home for fourteen weeks. He has received great care and support from all of the staff. The care team and management are lovely and are very approachable, nothing is too much trouble for them. They all do a great job in providing a home from home atmosphere for my dad and we appreciate how they look after him and care for him.
I cannot praise the manager and staff highly enough for their loving care to my mum in her final weeks of life. She was so very well cared for by all staff. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
My mum is very happy here. Staff are very pleasant to her and nothing is a problem for them. Staff shoe great kindness towards her and I feel my mum is getting well looked after.
I love my bedroom. There is plenty of room, it is bright and I am able to bring in my own belongings that make my room very homely. The menu choices are very good, always hot. The staff are very caring and attend to my personal needs in a respectful and dignified way. Staff listen to what I am saying and act on it. I have the best of both worlds, I can enjoy my own company or socialise with staff and other residents. Three days a week activities are offered and seasonal entertainment is offered where I can invite my family.
I was admitted to this home on 21st November 2019. I have found the home manager, care assistants and nursing staff to be very helpful and caring in the midst of a very busy working day.
Cherryvalley has been home to my brother for the past two years. He suffered a severe stroke which has resulted in him needing intensive nursing care. Management and staff have been terrific with him, always treating him with kindness and respect. Sadly he cannot communicate so as a family we are so grateful for the nursing care and attention he is receiving at Cherryvalley Care Home.
The moment you walk into Cherryvalley Care home there is a bright look, fresh smell and a happy atmosphere. The reception area is similar to a good hotel with lovely, comfortable armchairs and an electric fire by the wall. My sister loves going there during the day and people watches all the coming and going. My sister is very happy at Cherryvalley and often comments on the excellent care she receives and how the safety and security allows her to sleep in peace. A wonderful team at Cherryvalley. Please keep up the great work you do for your patients.
I contacted Cherryvalley when my mother was due for discharge from hospital. The manager was quick to confirm availability and conduct assessment. As a family we are completely satisfied with the nursing care she is receiving and couldn't ask for more. The staff have tried to make her feel at home and are attentive at all times.
We attended the Christmas party and everyone had a great day. Our aunt had a brilliant day and even got her feet moving to the music - she's 97! Since she moved here in November 2019, the change in her has been remarkable. She has a good choice of food and has put on some weight as she was down to seven stone. I could not praise the staff enough as they worked very hard to ensure that everyone had a great time. Definitely 5 star.
Staff excellent, good care towards my sister. She is very well looked after.
The family is very pleased with the care our mother receives. Management and staff are very attentive and always go the extra mile, ensure clients are cared for with dignity and respect. The building and equipment are well maintained and clean.
My mother has been a resident in Cherryvalley Care Home for just over 5 years and is very settled now. The staff are generally attentive and try to respond to my mother and her individual needs. The staff are friendly and are always open to discussing any matters relating to my mother's care needs. Thank you.
Very clean and pleasant environment. The friendly competent staff made Mum welcome and did all they could to keep her safe, clean and comfortable. The open door policy encourages friends and family to visit and a visitor was made welcome, offered refreshments and encouraged to support Mum in adjusting to her new home. Manager and staff are very accommodating.
I am very happy with the overall care my husband receives. The staff are caring and competent. The new manager has made a great impression on me.
Since my mother has moved here she has been very happy; the staff are second to none if there is any type of problem, they are on the phone to me asap. They never let her down. Her health is 100% better, her care is fantastic, I feel when I go home she is looked after and I know she is safe. I would recommend this care home to anyone who only wants the best for their family.
I am 70 years old and my mother, 2 aunts, my in-laws and now my brother-in-law have all experienced care homes, more than one in some cases. I have done a lot of visiting to all of these care homes, so I think I am in a position to judge with some knowledge and objectivity whether a care home is giving optimal care etc. I have visited Cherryvalley Care Home many times. My sister, of course, visits her husband frequently. I have found all staff to be professional. From the many interactions with staff which my sister has reported to me, they have been caring, positive and reactive. Similarly, my brother-in-law has always said to me that staff are very good.
