View Full Details of Craigdun Private Nursing HomeMy Father has recently become a resident of Craigdun Nursing Home as his health requirements meant he needed nursing care which was not available in his home environment. From day one everyone of the management and staff made it their mission to make him feel comfortable and at home. The flow of information from staff to family is continuous and we are fully aware of my Father's care plan. The care and compassion shown by all the staff have gone a long way to reassure my Mother that he is receiving the best of care. Thank you Craigdun.
My mother has been a resident in Craigdun nursing home since the beginning of April this year and we have found the staff all very helpful and accommodating. My sister and I call at the home every day and are made very welcome, as are all my mum's visitors. Mum has Alzheimer's and is not able to get out of bed anymore since she had sepsis earlier in the year, but she is very well looked after. All the carers treat her with respect and care for her like we'd like to be able to ourselves but because of her condition, we are no longer able to. The rooms are kept spotless, and if we have any worries we can talk them through with the nursing staff, who are always on hand when needed. I can thoroughly recommend Craigdun as a very caring place to stay.
Mum was a resident in Craigdun whilst awaiting a care package. We got to know the staff and were always treated courteously and as partners in Mum’s care. Instead of finding her crying every day (as happened in a previous placement), we found her enjoying banter with staff, especially one staff member who made it his mission to ensure she was dressed in matching clothes! Nutritionally, Mum’s supplements were soon stopped after being introduced to the cook’s famous shortbread and home baked food. Lovely that pet visits were encouraged - my sister’s dogs were made welcome – meaning a lot to Mum. The activity therapist – such an asset who took great pride in organising activities - not least the Valentine’s party - Mum really enjoyed that. Mum’s care was amazing. Craigdun is a well-run, happy care home, evidenced by content residents and pleasant staff - an example to other care homes. Compassionate and professional care, strong and effective leadership and excellent teamwork - all evident at Craigdun.
My father entered Craigdun Private Nursing Home in 2016 and sadly passed away in April 2023. During this time he put on weight and all the staff and visitors who talked to him thought he was 20-30 years younger. His surroundings inside and out suited him, of course, the banter with the staff helped. Near the end, he had to be admitted to the hospital where he kept saying he wanted home ie, Craigdun. Within hours of returning, he was back to the banter with the staff. A first-class nursing home.
Craigdun Private Nursing Home sits in the most beautiful setting, has excellent facilities and a beautiful enclosed garden, which Mum really enjoys. Most importantly the care is of a very high standard from really caring staff. Craigdun is an excellent private nursing home which I would highly recommend on the basis of my experience. My mother has spent four really happy years here, with great care provided throughout.
During my time at Craigdun, I experienced great care and support from everyone. From day one I felt very at home and made welcome as was my family. All the areas of the home were kept very clean and tidy. Nothing was ever too much trouble and in a way, although I am delighted to get home I will miss everyone. Thank you for everything.
The staff are friendly and jolly. The level of care is excellent.
Excellent level of nursing care provided in an organised, caring manner. All nursing staff work brilliantly in a calm, efficient manner.
There aren't enough adjectives to describe how wonderful Craigdun is! We had heard so many scary stories about nursing homes and when you have no choice but to admit a loved one into nursing care it is a very stressful and sad time, but from day one it has been such a positive experience and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful nursing home in Cullybackey.
This is an excellent care home with excellent, caring staff.
Home is clean, food passable, carers good.
Very pleased with this home.
Very happy with mum's care. She seems content and is always clean, tidy and enjoys the company and like to participate in any activities.
My stepfather stayed at Craigdun Private Nursing Home for a few weeks respite care. All of the staff from top to bottom and in all areas of the home were excellent and showed outstanding care for their residents. The atmosphere within the home was happy, warm and caring. Outstanding. Would recommend.
Would like to have window open more. Staff cheerful, helpful. Manager helped me make decisions. Happy atmosphere all through the home. Have enjoyed my stay and feel much better.
Country scenery. Trees and fields out of rat race.
