View Full Details of Parkview Care HomeMy first experience with Parkview Care Home was on the 21st December I think it was 2016. Since then I have always found my friend was always cared with respect, she was kept clean and tidy. Her room and bed was again clean. I found the manager, nurses, carers, domestics and all who worked in the kitchen. Over the years everyone of these people are pleasant, polite and always take time to speak to each resident. I know my friend is in good care.
Mum has been at Parkview since 2020 and she couldn't have had better care. The staff are wonderful. Mum can be challenging at times as the disease progresses but they are without exception caring and patient. She is bed-bound and quite a loner so not one for taking part in any of the many fantastic activities put on by the PALs, but they and the other staff make sure that Mum is not neglected. They'll stop in and have a chat with her when they can to keep her entertained. I know people can hear awful stories about care homes when family isn't able to be around all the time, well I live abroad and can safely say that I have turned up out of the blue on a surprise visit more than once (from forgetfulness, not from any worries about care) and found Mum's care second to none. Mum and I are so lucky and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone for their loved ones. It really is more than a job for this wonderful team.
Dad has been in Parkview Care Home for a couple of years suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia. Like anyone, he has good and bad days, sometimes good and periods of the same day. The staff are excellent with him and know when he's in bad form that it's not the real person. Our family couldn't wish for better care for my Father, who will shortly be 91. We are truly blessed, the scores below show this.
I would highly recommend Parkview Care Home for respite stay/delirium as their staff were very caring and patient. The activities they provide for the elderly and sick are fantastic and go that extra mile to look after each patient. The environment is very relaxed and chilled and nothing you ask for or need from them was ever too much trouble. Dad will miss the staff and the friends he met during his time there.
I have been delighted with my husband's rehab stay at Parkview Care Home. While he had wanted to go home directly after his stroke, the social worker was keen to ensure that he would have an improved recovery via the care home. She was right, he has been more sociable in the lovely atmosphere of Parkview. This was a result of the lovely staff of all types working there who are always cheerful and positive with those in their care. The medical staff were very helpful and careful of those in the home. The activities were excellent and parties for lots of events gave the residents a lot of joy. Having had relatives in other care homes, this was far and away the best one yet. Brilliant.
Just want to say that the staff in this care home are nothing short of angels. My grandfather was there for a short 9 weeks before passing. They looked after him with love, care and compassion. We got to know all the staff very well and the nurses who looked after him. We would have been lost without them all and will also miss them and all the residents at the care home. The work and effort the nurses and staff put into looking after their residents is unbelievable. We heard a lot of bad reports about care homes in the past and I can honestly say with my hand on my heart these girls and fellas love and treat all their residents with love and care. We would honestly have been lost without them and we can not thank them enough. Many thanks.
My sister was admitted acutely to Parkview Care Home on 23/12/22. She was in a state of delirium and still is so she is very distressed/fearful most of the time. She is bedridden too-such a sad life for a lovely lady! She has been staying in a single room and has needed so much physical and psychological support from all the staff there. She gets 1x family visitor daily and we are given support and privacy with her. The assessments she has needed and encouragement is excellent, she mainly needs patience and a lot of physical care. Thank you all.
The staff and management in the home have been very helpful to me and my brothers. Any problems that have occurred, they have phoned right away. My mum seems to enjoy all of the activities that are put on and enjoy her own room and space sometimes. It's nice that if she wants to she can stay in her room if she's not up to going into the other rooms with people.
The home is well maintained and the grounds are excellent. The rooms are bright and airy. Couldn't ask for better care for our daddy. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Staff are cheerful and friendly. We are kept up to date with all of daddy's care. Excellent service overall.
Best home in Belfast, staff are really friendly and brilliant at their job. My dad has received first-class care and is really happy here.
Mum's been here from July and has settled very well. We feel, as a family, that she is getting the care that she needs and are very pleased with the girls that work here. The care home is always very clean and the food that Mum is getting is up to a good standard. Overall, very happy.
The staff are all very helpful and take excellent care of all the residents.
Parkview Care Home provides excellent care and service. My mum has been a resident since December 2015. I have never had any issues with the quality of care. Thank you very much.
My Mother seems happy at Parkview and that makes me happy.
Calm atmosphere. Very kind staff. Plenty of activity going on. Staff always helpful. One small point - it would be good if the staff wore name badges. It's nice to be able to address them by name, but it's hard to remember them all.
My father who suffers from dementia was admitted into Parkview Care Home in December 2017. To be honest we thought he would never settle in strange surroundings. He did very well and this has to be because of the staff, their experience with dementia patients and also their continual care. It was a hard experience as a son to have to put your father in a home but again, the guidance and help from the staff made this much easier.
