View Full Details of Balmoral View Care CentreOur lovely Mum was in Balmoral View for just over 3 years and passed away on 2nd February 2024. Throughout her stay, Mum was well looked after and cared for. We especially now wish to extend our thanks and appreciation for the end-of-life care Mum received from every single member of staff. A special thank you to the long-term members of the team. Also, another staff member nursed Mum in her final hours and comforted and supported her. The most heartwarming gesture was the Guard of Honour from staff as Mum left Balmoral View for the last time. You will all be forever in our thoughts.
I live in America and call my family every day to see how my father is doing, although I am far away I'm happy that he is being cared for in such a nice place. I've been home a few times since he's been there and was taken aback by the level of care from the staff.
I was impressed by the care and consideration given to my aunt who is a resident at this home. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have time for a chat with residents and family. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The home is warm and well-kept. There are a number of activities that residents can take part in. My aunt enjoys the food that she is given. Thanks for the great care taken.
The overall experience had been very positive however a member of staff handled my aunt roughly and unfortunately, the safeguarding team is involved. I am concerned that this staff member is still employed here during this investigation, unfortunately, this has changed my overall opinion because of one staff member.
I feel happy that my husband is in this care home. It's a nice place and the staff are fantastic, friendly and treat everyone with kindness and respect. I visit every day and feel content that he is being cared for in a way that goes above their job, it's done with love.
My father has been here for over 3.5 years. We all feel happy when we leave him at night, as the staff are like family. They treat my father with love and respect and go above and beyond to make him and us as a family visiting enjoyable and comfortable. I have recommended this care home to anybody that needs a recommendation.
Mum has been here for two years now, we know all the staff who are excellent with Mum. She is well looked after, very clean which is so important to us. There are lots of activities throughout the week and Mass is on the big screen on Sundays which is important to older people. Mum now knows the routines and is happily living here which in turn gives our family peace of mind.
Mum has been here just over 2 years. There has been the odd occasion when she could have been dressed better, but also had stains on her clothes which could have been changed. In general, we are pleased with the care she is getting and know there are times when the home is short-staffed.
Overall very happy with Mum's care, she's content and happy in her surroundings. Perhaps a more varied menu would be nice.
Granny is happy and well cared for.
From what I have witnessed, so far so good. Just hope it keeps up. My grandmother is happy in her surroundings.
My Dad has been here a short time and in that time, I've found Balmoral to be meeting his needs very well. I'm kept well informed and find the staff very approachable attentive and helpful. Dad has said he's well looked after and seems quite happy.
Our father went into Balmoral View in March 2017. We have been very happy with his care and medical help. The building and rooms are very homely and clean. All the staff, management, cleaning and nursing staff are all very caring and helpful. We would highly recommend this care facility.
Our mother was here for 5 years and we were delighted with the care she was given (especially the medical care, as they could deal with most problems instead of going to the hospital. We now have our special care needs - sister as a resident and are very happy indeed.
My dad's here and seems content enough most of the time. Staff are friendly and everyone seems to know you or gets to know even those not on the floor, kitchen staff, cleaners etc.
This is our second experience of using the care home for our relatives. We have always found standards at the home very good. In all areas of care i.e. medical, personal, auxiliary and domestic. All staff very approachable and attentive.
I had two stays at Balmoral View for respite care as I could not weight bare for 6 weeks after two-foot operations and it wasn’t safe for me to go home as I could not climb stairs and wheelchair-bound on two separate occasions. I was well treated at both times.
The facilities and staff in this home are super. My mother is very well cared for in this safe, secure environment. She is based in the dementia suite as per her condition and frequently says how good the staff are. The home is very clean and offers various classes and entertainment for the clients with 24-hour nurses on site.
I had an extremely pleasant experience. The staff were most courteous and helpful.
My late uncle and his extended family found Balmoral View Care Centre a warm, welcoming, professional place to live. The nursing staff were efficient in their approach to nursing and caring. My uncle called them his second family. The housekeeper and the auxiliary staff were always on hand when you needed them. Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend Balmoral view with no hesitation.
