View Full Details of Whiteabbey Care HomeMy grandfather is treated with dignity and care. Sometimes there can be a language barrier but it never affects his care. He is always included in activities and enjoys singing. If he has any issues, they are always treated promptly. I feel good knowing he's being treated well. As he can be fussy, he may not always like the food, but he's usually given an alternative.
My mum was admitted to Whiteabbey Care Home in July this year. She needed 24/7 nursing care and was on a Rig/Peg feeding tube. I can absolutely rate this care home as 5star review. Management, nurses and carers they treated mum with genuine dignity, respect, professionalism and always with a smile. Mum settled in quickly and got to know all the nurses, carers and cleaners. They would take time to listen and chat during their shifts. When family members were visiting we were always offered tea or coffee and updated on mums health. What an amazing Team. Thank you all you are all amazing people.
I found the care and compassion shown by the staff to be absolutely outstanding. They always had a smile for my mum and she felt that they were all part of her extended family and she was part of their family. She felt safe and loved. We could not thank them enough for the care given to our mum in her final months. It gave us as a family such comfort and we will be forever indebted to them all.
Before lockdown I enjoyed going to the home, they were caring and very friendly. I hope to be able to do it again.
It is great to know that my mum is getting the care she needs. The staff here are just wonderful, always putting residents' needs first. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic but they do their best each time I go down to see Mum, by positioning her towards me. It does me the world of good to see my mum happy and settled here. She always has a big smile on her face. The staff here are hardworking and dedicated to the residents.
I found the care staff to be helpful and considerate at all times, always pleasantly attentive and patient. Very good standard of meals at all times. Excellent and quick to respond to resident's call when in need. Eager to help residents feel at home.
My father was cared for in Whiteabbey Nursing Home in the last few months of his life (in his 97th year). He received kind and considerate care and respect. The sister in charge was always on hand to discuss my father's care and treatment. The carers who bathed Dad and looked after his general wellbeing were also most respectful and always made sure he was comfortable and clean.
Wonderful, loving care and carers prepared to go the extra mile, nothing too much bother. Genuine concern for patients and try to bring joy into a day that sometimes can be very difficult for those going through a difficult time in their lives. A great encouragement for relatives.
I think that the standard of care is wonderful, the staff are easy to approach. All seem to have resident welfare in mind. The nursing standard is high and professional standards are very good residents are top priority.

My mother was a resident at Whiteabbey Care Home from August 2010 to her passing away on 15th February 2019. Throughout her time in the home, my mother became a character among the staff and other residents. The care staff were fond of my mother and they gave her their support over the years. I would like to thank the management and staff for their warmth and help towards my mother.
The care home is clean and all the care workers are very friendly. There is also a good atmosphere among the staff. In my experience, the residents are well looked after. My own mother has received medical help from a doctor while there also is a nurse in attendance. There is also a social side to entertain and keep residents busy.
I find everything in this residence excellent. Location, staff who are very kind and caring, both to myself and my visitors.

To all staff of Whiteabbey Care Home, I would like to offer my family's sincerest thanks. The care dedication and support they give to my Dad who sadly passed away on the 12/11/2018 was much appreciated. Every member of staff over the eleven months he was a resident showed him the utmost respect and dignity at all times. I would have no concerns in recommending this care home to anybody who is having to look for a place for a family member.
