My Dad has received first-class care from the day he came to Carnalea Care Home. Through the final stages of his life we, as a family have experienced nothing but love, support and kindness from all the staff. He has been made so comfortable with the medication he received and right until his final days, he has been allowed dignity through the daily care of the staff keeping him clean and well looked after. Thank you.

Carnlea Care Home is a home full of love. 5 stars simply don't do it justice. The standard and quality of care our father has received has been outstanding. From the moment he arrived 2 weeks ago, he has been treated with dignity, compassion and respect by each and every staff member. Nothing is too much trouble. There are not enough words to express the depth of our gratitude. Our entire family has been welcomed and every morning we are greeted with a smile and a hug. The staff always have time for us, answering our questions with honesty and compassion. My dad is now in end of life care and the staff are doing everything they can to keep him comfortable. We have total faith in their care and know he will end this life chapter in a home full of love, compassion and care. We cannot thank you enough for helping make this one of the most profound and peaceful experiences, particularly for our mum who has been by his side almost constantly. You are all angels.

I cannot thank you all enough for the care you was have been providing to my granddad - every single person at Carnalea Care Home has been beyond friendly, welcoming, caring and attentive to my granddad and our family. Possibly the most beautiful, clean and peaceful care home I've ever been in. Simple things like making sure he is washed, changed and shaved every day, coming in regularly to check up on him, offering teas and coffees to everyone, gentle and clear communication to us throughout. I am so grateful to know he is being looked after so wonderfully in his final few days. As a family, we could not ask for anything more.

Wonderful caring staff who always treat my dad with kindness and compassion. Communication is great and senior staff always speak to me when I visit to tell about how dad is doing. For the first time in a while, I feel dad is receiving the care he needs.

Superb - from day one our mother has been treated with dignity and respect. Staff are the epitome of professional. Supportive and caring not only to our mum but to us as a family. We have full peace of mind that our mum is in the best care.

Mum is in the Sunshine Unit at Carnalea Care Home. I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has received. The staff are warm and friendly and are excellent at their job. There is a lovely atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to go for daily walks with a carer or family member and there is a nice garden area for them to sit in too. The food is of a very high standard. Each resident has a key worker and results of medical tests are relayed to me frequently. Staff will often ring me with the latest results and to discuss Mum's care needs. I visit twice a week, but live far away, so this is a great comfort. There are regular activities and Mum loves going upstairs in the lift to get her hair done. She is happy and settled, and the home is immaculate. Thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of my precious Mum.

I am more than satisfied with the care my uncle receives at Carnalea. He is treated with respect and dignity and is supported in all aspects of daily living. I have only positive feedback regarding the staff involved in his care. His behaviour can be challenging at times and staff has come to understand and handle these behaviours in an understanding and caring manner. He is very happy at Carnalea and appreciates the care he receives and has made it his home.

We are delighted with the excellent standard of care in Carnalea for our mum. What a caring environment, supporting not only Mum but us too as a family. 5 star care. Staff are responsive to the changing needs of residents, keep in touch with family, and keep family informed. We are assured that Mum is receiving all the care and support she needs at Carnalea.

I have been visiting Carnalea Care Home to see my uncle for almost 1 year now both upstairs and downstairs. In this time the staff have been very friendly and kept me informed about my uncle. The staff has also taken very good care of my uncle's needs. The home is also kept very clean and tidy. A variety of activities are provided every day for the residents to partake in.

I personally cannot thank the nursing and their support staff enough for their care, thoughtfulness, kindness, and diligence in the excellent care of my late husband's aunt. The nursing home feels like home not only to the residents but also visitors who are treated with kindness. The residents, like my Auntie-in-law, are treated with care, respect, and dignity. Their every need is met and I am extremely happy for her to be a resident here in Carnalea.

This care home is a home of excellence. The staff are friendly and always treat residents with care ensuring dignity and respect at all times. Of particular note is the standard of nursing care - second to none and of an excellent standard - yet at the same time loving and caring.

I have found the staff to be very hardworking and pleasant on the whole. They are kind and courteous to the residents. The building is spotlessly clean and smells fresh. I have found the nurses, a few in particular to be outstanding in their attention to ongoing problems and always proactive about the care of residents. It seems activities are led towards residents who can be moved to them. It could be helpful if there was a bigger choice of light meals.

I don't know how our family would have managed without the Carnalea staff. The staff at Carnalea are very caring and supportive and most importantly keep us up to date with my father-in-law's ever-changing condition. The staff goes over and above their job to provide a warm and welcoming homely environment for the residents and families visiting. The home is spotlessly clean and when I'm there visiting the residents all appear content, happy, and well cared for. My father-in-law takes part in the weekly activities, arts and crafts, music, movie nights, Sasha the dog, etc all organised by the activities coordinator. Thank you Carnalea staff for making us feel so welcome and for the care you provide for my father-in-law.

My experience of this care home is very positive. The staff are very caring and supportive. And there is a pleasant atmosphere. My Mum is settled here, following her admission five months ago. She is given her dignity and respect by most of the staff.

I have found the care in Carnalea to be excellent from the start. They have been supportive of my Brother and myself. They are kind and thoughtful. They keep me informed of any issues i.e. falls, incidents, etc. I feel they are getting to know my brother and beginning to appreciate his humour and personality. My general issue is the home itself, I feel some financial input would be beneficial. It is generally looking tired and in need of updating. The front door is a particular problem, given how many people are having to navigate wheelchairs, etc.

My dad has just recently moved to Carnalea, having looked around many care homes this one stood out for us the minute we walked through the door every member of staff couldn’t have tried harder to answer all our questions. I don’t want to single out people by name but from the front desk administration staff to the nursing staff and not forgetting the activity coordinator for organising various activities to encourage emotional and physical stimulation and the maintenance guy who went over and beyond to help us make Dad's room a home from home. The care Dad has received so far has been exceptional and has helped Dad and us as a family adapt. The nursing staff certainly need recognition for their caring nature and for going that little bit further to make Dad comfortable and content.

Our family owe Carnalea Care Home an enormous gratitude of thanks. The wonderful staff looked after both our parents over the last 3 years at all times in a professional and caring manner and showed them both dignity and respect right until the end. The staff are largely unchanged since Mum arrived - a testament to the happy, comfortable ambiance at the home. This familiarity gave us huge support and comfort, with staff keeping us informed of any changes in our parents' health. Living in England, this provided me with so much security. I was always able to talk with someone, never rushed and I will be forever grateful. Our mum, with advanced dementia, got so much out of the singing activities and even our dad, usually an unwilling participant, was gently persuaded to join in and enjoy the entertainment. Mum, who had always liked to be dressed well, continued to look her best and Dad, loved to chat with staff about his life and family. Fantastic home with lovely staff.

Our aunt was a resident in Carnalea. During her time there she enjoyed the many activities. The staff were wonderful and she loved them all. When her health deteriorated the nursing care she received was excellent. The family would like to thank all the staff for the excellent care and support they gave her and her family. The time our aunt stayed there was a happy one. I would highly recommend Carnalea for any family member needing nursing care.
