View Full Details of Willow Grove Care HomeThe care from everyone in the home was unparalleled. They met her every need, making her final days feel wanted and loved, which in itself extended to her family, giving great reassurance and comfort. I can't recommend and thank all of the staff enough for their care, support and understanding for all in the home and outside.
I found the home staff very helpful, caring and pleasant. Very grateful for all they have done for my uncle.
Willow Grove has been the first experience of a care home that myself and my family have encountered. From day one, the staff have been amazing. They are kind, thoughtful and always helpful with any request. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always on hand to offer good advice. They are attentive towards my mum and have got to know her well. I feel she is in safe hands and very well cared for. Thank you to all involved.
My mum is in residential in Willow Grove Dungannon and has been here for over a year. This is a great care home where the care is first class and the well-being lead works very hard with different activities and even has the dining room set up for every occasion, and spends great time with them showing them different things to do. Overall I would recommend this care home to anyone where I felt content leaving her after visiting.
Our aunt was in residential care downstairs - care, cleanliness of home and attention was excellent. The Care Team Leader and the team went above and beyond. She was moved upstairs and it is so different. Too many different nurses, many of whom struggle to speak English. The room is tired and dull and needs to be refreshed. Urine smell. Laundry is atrocious - no care for how clothes are put away are rolled in a ball and the amount of clothes, throws and underwear missing is ridiculous. Food is meagre - £800 per week for 2 triangles of jam sandwiches for supper! There is so much that needs to be addressed.
Staff have been very accommodating when I visit my mother. Everybody is friendly towards me and responsive to my questions. One or two issues with medication were addressed promptly.
Most of the staff downstairs were excellent and very caring of Mum. They had activities daily but in the good weather, I felt they should have taken some residents out to the beautiful garden they have. My biggest issue was the laundry, even though I had labelled everything it still went missing and this was constant. Overall Mum was well cared for in Willow Grove.
My mum is currently a resident in Willow Grove. All the staff are brilliant I couldn’t fault this residential home. My mum is looked after very well she is content and obviously eating well and loving her food. Any time I visit the staff go over and beyond their duties. I want to mention one staff member who is the nicest kindest person I have ever met, she is so good with the residents and visitors so welcoming and a great asset to Willow Grove. Thanks, everyone.
Willow Grove to me when visiting my mum is a very friendly place, where they get to know the residents and their families. They take good care of the residents. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, the staff are friendly and approachable and able to help out if possible. All in all a nice place to go to as some of the residents can be difficult but they have a lot of patience with them.
This home specialises in dementia care. The staff are knowledgeable about dementia and are relaxed and calm dealing, with what sometimes can be challenging behaviour. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and easy. The rooms and other facilities are excellent. I particularly love the hair salon and the bus stop seat for residents. The permanent staff are really excellent. The food is great. Mum is very well cared for.
Generally, the home is good and both parents who are there are content, sometimes there are lapses in the standard of care regarding personal hygiene/care but overall it's a comfortable and safe environment for them.
The home was clean and welcoming. Staff friendly. The atmosphere was lovely, residents all appeared happy. The manager was friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend the home and if I need respite again I will definitely send my mother back. I am confident she will be well looked after.
The daytime care assistants were excellent, the nighttime carers were difficult to understand, had no patience and were very abrupt. The manager was rude, ignorant, had no time for residents or relatives. Made no effort to acknowledge my mum. A manager who shows no compassion or interest gets the care home a very bad name. Will be contacting RQIA.
I couldn't be happier with the care my mum receives at Willow Grove Care Home. The staff are wonderful... very friendly, attentive, patient, kind, caring and dedicated. They show my mum compassion and understanding. They treat her with dignity and respect, encouraging and comforting her when the need arises. The home is bright, airy, spotlessly clean and welcoming. I can visit Mum at any time and feel content and reassured knowing that she is in a safe environment and in the best hands to cater for her complex needs 24/7.

The care team and nurses etc are very attentive and when I visit mum today all good and her room perfect and tidy etc. When I ring I always get an answer on phone about my mother. My mum has been in the care home for 4 years now this September 2021 coming. 1st class from start to finish.
My father has been in Willow Grove now for over two years. I cannot praise them highly enough for the care my father has received. In January, my father had a fall and tested positive for coronavirus. The home phoned me straight away to explain the situation. My sisters and myself were told to phone anytime. We phoned every other day and were told how my father was and we were able to speak to him. The girls in the home are always pleasant, no matter when you contact them.
My mum has been at Willow Grove in the residential unit for over a year now and I could not recommend the staff here enough. They are all so dedicated and nothing is ever too much trouble. They are very welcoming and approachable and it is a home from home. They have been exceptional during the Covid 19 pandemic, facilitating video calls, phone calls etc and keeping me well informed.
