I have been working away from home and have come back to visit my granny in the care home. When I visit my granny, she is always well dressed and happy. The staff care for her well and she is looked after, she is always clean and has her hair done.
My other my mother entered Melmount Manor Care Centre in August 2022. It took her a few months to settle in however eventually, with the help of the fantastic team, we are there! Our mother loves music and company and the staff are aware of this and it is plain to see they are trying as many activities to support inclusion and diversity in the home. Every person is treated equally.
Friendly staff who are approachable, kind and supportive to their service users and families. No task is ever too much, always willing to go above and beyond and willing to help in any way they can.
Staff are excellent, go above and beyond, and no task is too big. Very friendly and helpful. They have an excellent rapport with the patients and their family members and are very approachable when we may have concerns.
My granny has been a resident of this home since October 2022, she has settled in well, and her room is decorated to her own choice; she can have her own TV, bedclothes, some bits of furniture etc. The home is very clean, and the staff that I have met are excellent; they show my granny both the care she requires and show her respect - they are great company for her, and she loves the interaction with them. The food choice is excellent and made fresh each day, and my granny is always asked daily what she would like to eat - freshly baked buns and biscuits served daily with the tea at around three - I have been offered tea and biscuits on my visits. My mum also stated that she finds the administration and managerial staff to be helpful on all occasions when needed. The nursing staff are also very good at contacting the GP at any time they are concerned about my granny's health. Overall, an excellent home-from-home, especially when my granny is fully coherent.
My granny has been in Melmount Manor for the last few years, and the care is second to none. She is very happy and content and extremely well looked after by the staff there. We live 80 miles away, and it’s great to know that she is so well looked after and happy in Melmount Manor.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Melmount Manor for the past couple of years. The care she has received has been second to none, and every time we visit, she is in good spirits. The staff are extremely helpful and are very good at communicating with my wife regarding her mother.
The nursing staff are excellent and have built up a great relationship with my father. He has settled in well due to the attention of the staff of the Dennet suite. Very accommodating for visiting and are always able to brief the family on how my father is face to face and also on the phone. Facilities may need updating and refurbishing but staff cannot be faulted especially the nurses!
The care my husband has been given over the past ten months has been exceptional. His needs have been dealt with in an appropriate manner. The home is welcoming at any time of the day or night. The staff have good communication skills. They are professional in their approach to residents aware of their needs and wants. It is in general a home from home where all feel important, safe and secure in their own little world.
The care my sister receives is excellent. The staff are caring and very professional. There is a lovely atmosphere within the home, people are genuinely friendly. The manager is very thorough and very approachable. Nothing is too much bother. Very happy with the overall care my sister is getting and she loves living there.
My mother has been a resident for almost three years. The care she receives and has received is exceptional. The staff, carers, domestic and management do everything to ensure that my mother needs for nothing. The care, dignity, empathy and respect shown are second to none. Staff are always friendly and sociable. Although my mother requires assistance with dressing and washing, the staff always ensure that she is always well dressed and clean and dressed in suitable clothing. The variety and standard of meals are excellent, and the activities are offered daily to ensure that if my mother wanted to take part, there is always something to do. Staff always contact me if there is a health issue or medical issue or if my mother requires anything. My visits are never at the same time or day and can be in the morning, afternoon or evening. During all my visits, I have never witnessed anything but the highest level of professionalism from all staff. Thank you for the care, empathy and love you all show.
Melmount Manor provides excellent care for my elderly Father. The staff are caring, friendly and patient. My Father initially went in for respite and settled well. My Dad is now receiving temporary care in Melmount Manor. I cannot fault any members of staff, nursing, care, domestic, managerial etc. I enjoy visiting every day, the home has a friendly and homely atmosphere and I am very grateful for the care they continually give my Dad.
My father-in-law was a resident of Melmount Manor for four years. He received exceptional care and was treated with dignity during the time he was there. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and we all were completely content leaving him in their expert care. Staff went above and beyond during covid lockdowns to make sure his wife had phone calls, video calls, and window visits (when permitted) and did so much to help him interact with us and keep us all updated. When he became very ill and started to fade, nurses were always available to speak to family members and guide us through every stage. We were all so grateful for the care, love and respect he was shown throughout his stay and then, particularly at the end. We knew he was always in excellent hands.
My father has been a resident for a number of months in Melmount Manor Care Centre and is very well cared for by the lovely staff within. From the moment he gets up, to the time he goes to bed, he is helped by staff in any way they can, in order to make him as settled and comfortable as possible, i.e. well washed, dressed in comfortable and appropriate attire, kept warm/cool where appropriate and last but not least, very well fed, with beautiful meals/snacks throughout the day. In addition to this, he is taken outdoors, so he can see and appreciate local amenities. The activities are great.
The care my grandmother has received has been patient-centred and caring towards her. My grandmother has been slowly progressing in her stages of dementia and the nursing staff have been so attentive and communication with us family members has been excellent when they have noticed any changes or concerns. The care has been excellent and cannot fault any of the staff who have been working throughout the pandemic. Thank you all.
Very caring and attentive staff. Mum is being very well cared for in the nursing home. Some staff really go above and beyond their duties for both residents and their families.
I found Melmount Manor to be very clean and the staff attentive. Management are very friendly.
The staff are fantastic, Dad is now in the latter stages of Alzheimer's and his needs are ever-changing. I find that all these changes are being met and dealt with in a professional manner and with the utmost care and consideration given to Dad, as well as to us, family members. As a care partner I have been in Melmount Manor throughout the pandemic when guidelines allowed me to and even through an outbreak of Covid, the care given to my dad has never faltered, he still received a high level of personal care, his meals were never rushed and time was taken to chat to him. Fantastic quality and flavour of meals provided. Overall the atmosphere within Dad's unit is lovely the staff have made it homely and less institutional, leaving a happy ambience with care and empathy shown to all residents.
My brother has been a resident in Melmount Manor for six years until his death on 6th March 2022. I will be forever grateful and thankful for the love and care he was given by staff and carers alike in the Dennet Unit. I will never forget them.
