View Full Details of GreenacresManagement very supportive in helping new residents to settle in. Tackled teething problems effectively giving me confidence that loved one is safe and well cared for. Staff are all lovely altho often appear to be insufficient to give fast responses to calls (eg. toilet visits). Overall very happy. THANK YOU TEAM GREENACRES!!
Having visited the home at least once or twice weekly over the last 2 and a half years I have always found the staff friendly and management always respond promptly to my queries and requests. During January they tried very hard to make my friend happy, encouraging participation in many activities including a foot spa, quizzes, singsongs even letting her help on the reception area to help her feeling of lonliness. A very caring staff.
My mum has been in greenacres since January 2020 first in residential care but now in the dementia care unit my mum gets the best of everything at greenacres and is the best home we could have possibly chosen the staff are amazing every one of them and I know most of them by name anyone who is considering a home for their loved ones then greenacres is the one many thanks for all the years of care you have and still give to my mum
This was our first Christmas with mum being in Greenacres and we were really worried about how it would be! Happy to say they made Christmas very special for all the residents as they do all the time lots of activities and they include everyone! They all enjoy trips out and they even took mum and her friend to the pub! Such a special place we are lucky and mum is so happy there.
Mum originally came to stay at Greenacres for respite following an illness. Due to her lack of mobility, she was unable to continue to live on her own and was in need of extra care and companionship of her own age. There is a varied programme of interesting activities and social events that residents are encouraged to participate in. Mum now has a wide circle of friends and is happy and settled. Greenacres provides excellent compassionate care and the staff are very committed and friendly
My mum and dad have both been settled at Greenacres since October 2024 and we've been really happy with the choice. The home is well maintained and always clean, tidy and there are a range of comfortable communal areas. The home is well run by a very competent management team and all the carers are wonderful. They go to great lengths to attend to the residents needs and everyone is treated with respect and kindness. I am particularly impressed with the thought and effort that goes into the additional activities that are planned throughout the week.
My Mum resided at Greenacres Care Home from May 2022 to January 2025, when she died of old age. The care Mum received during this time was exemplary - we could not have wished for a more supportive, nurturing and caring environment. Mum flourished at Greenacres - her health improved, her cognitive abilities improved, and she was much loved by all the staff. Thank you Greenacres for being such a fantastic care home.
Welcoming, friendly staff. Personalised care. The staff have got to know my Aunt and go out of their way to have a chat and a laugh with her. Freshly-prepared food, and beautiful care for her birthday in October. Varied activities; some providing links to the local community. Some decor (dining, lounge, carpet) and wallpaper could do with being replaced, otherwise a warm homely environment.
Positive in every respect. Pleasant and good-natured staff. Helpful at every turn. Comfortable room and excellent food.
A friend was admitted to Greenacres this year and is currently in the dementia unit. Overall the carers are kind and caring. Rooms and decor is good and the garden kept to a good standard of maintenance. I understand that the food is good and it's very good to see residents engaged in the range of activities available. However, the smell of urine in the dementia unit is very unpleasant and at times overpowering. The communal carpet needs replacing after a deep clean of the flooring underneath.
My friend has been very content staying here. He tells me how kind and helpful he has found everyone. He says the food is excellent.
My father moved into Greenacres after the death of my mother and then returned from 30 years in New Zealand. The management and staff have been friendly, caring and understanding of the special circumstances and caring needs that my father needs. They have made the experience as pleasant as can be and he has settled in well. The care staff led by two carers on shift have been thoughtful, considerate; polite and courteous. They have made the necessary adjustments to his care plan as needed and are when possible extremely patient and helpful when I have made requests of them. The accommodation is clean, beautifully decorated and imaginatively thought through. I would have 100% confidence in placing my loved ones with Greenacres.
Such a lovely caring home. The staff are fantastic who really do care about the residents' health and wellbeing. Nothing is too much trouble. Everything is clean. The meals and food are freshly made. I would highly recommend Greenacres to anyone.
The decision to place a loved one in a care home is stressful for the family and even more so for the person entering. The home worked hard to make the process as easy as possible to negotiate and did everything possible to ease the transition and to make Mum quickly feel at home and part of the community. The staff - both care and admin - were uniformly excellent, their attitude and activities undoubtedly helped my mother to adjust to the home where she is now very happy. The facilities are very very good, as are the available activities; her room is very comfortable and she enjoys the food.
My stepdad is happy here. He is always clean and enjoys the company and the activities. The home is light and welcoming and there is a good atmosphere about it when I visit. His only complaint is that he is a bit bored at times. However, we don't know if he has engaged in all the activities on offer or not.
My nan is in Greenacres, and I can honestly say the standards and the care is exceptional. What I love the most is they make such a big deal out of special occasions and really go all out so the residents get involved. I come most days with my little girl, and they dont only make my nan feel welcome, but myself and my daughter love coming. It's such a fun, friendly, loving atmosphere.
Really lovely care home and very pleasant staff. I do feel things are slipping and seem short-staffed. Breakfast getting later each day.
The home is very friendly and has a homely atmosphere. I am always offered a drink and Mum seems happy here. She was lonely at home but is usually with other people at Greenacres. Overall the feeling is professional and friendly.
All are very helpful and caring and the home is very clean. Always ready to help in any way if possible. Mum started out with respite then liked it so much she decided to stay.
