View Full Details of Langley OaksMy mum has now been at the home a year. Mum originally wanted to say in her own home with Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. I was able to look after her and allow her the freedom she enjoys. Then out of the blue I was diagnosed with cancer and no longer in a safe condition to keep mum safe in her own home. Mum has enjoyed being in Langley oaks and has wanted to remain there. It's become a home from home and with so much to keep her occupied during her time there and trips out has been really supportive for her. In the times I have visited her, mum has been laughing, interested in her surroundings, taking part in activities, chatting and loving her cup of tea. The staff have been approachable, friendly, helpful and professional. It has made me feel that I have been able to focus on my recovery a lot easier without worrying and concerned and that mum even with her diagnosis can live life and have a quality of life she deserves. Well done to everyone there for making this happen, Thank you.
Just a wonderful care home. Staff are superb and the surroundings are kept clean and bright and decorated for special days. Whenever I visit Dad always has a glass of juice or a cup of tea and a biscuit on the table. Residents have activities set up for them and taken care of as you would your own family. Safety is excellent and my mind is at rest knowing he is taken care of and safe. Management is always on hand and so kind and helpful. Can’t fault this home feel very lucky to have a space there for Dad.
Although my mother was only here for a short while, I cannot praise Langley Oaks team highly enough. They have been so kind and caring especially as my mother is blind and her numerous ailments make her very challenging to care for. An excellent care home.
My stepfather has been at Langley Oaks for two years now. He is well cared for by the caring staff. I am contacted about any issues or concerns, appointments, etc. His room is always clean and tidy. He is well-fed, and his medication is controlled, both of which, were major issues before moving to Langley. On a negative side, it would be nice to see the grand floor rooms that open up onto the secure garden used more in the summer months, I would like to see the residents make use of the outdoor space. I also feel there could be a few more activities organised to stimulate residents, although I guess that's down to funding. Also, for visitors getting in and out of the building (at weekends) can be an issue. I understand the new manager is making changes, and I hope this feedback will be helpful.
My dad has been a resident of Langley Oaks since 2019 and I have only the highest praise for all the staff. They really have worked miracles with their professional care and empathy. He's happier and more youthful than ever. It's a testament to the kindness of staff, and the time they take to interact and encourage my dad to take part in events. He often says it's like staying in a hotel. The staff are great at communicating and keeping residents' families involved. There's always a smile and so much warmth at Langley Oaks that I can rest easy my dad is in the best of hands. The highest accolade I can give it's the sort of place you don't want to leave when you visit. Thank you!
The management and team leaders are an absolute credit to Langley Oaks. Any concerns were always dealt with robustly, the food was great, the rooms are lovely and clean and the entertainment is fantastic! The activities team go above and beyond to keep the residents engaged and stimulated.
My family and I were very pleased with my mum's care at Langley Oaks. She only lasted as long as she did because of the staff. Very well-run home with very friendly and helpful staff. I was not worried at all when we could not see mum during the covid times as I know they would have done anything they could to still look after our mum. I do recommend this home. They do the very best for the residents.
Recently due to unforeseen circumstances I had a family member be moved there and I must say the staff have been so kind, thoughtful in making my family member supported and settled. When I visited they were all so friendly and positive and were willing to help at all times. I seen how they interacted with the residents and it gave me validation that my family member is safe and well take care off. Thank you to all the team there you are doing an extremely amazing job.
Everything was done to help my husband under difficult circumstances. All staff are very and and helpful.
All the staff at Langley Oaks are amazing. Each member of staff treat the resident as if they are one of their own family. Those that provide the entertainment for the residents work tirelessly to ensure there is something going on to stimulate the residents, from silent discos to pantomimes at Christmas and so much more. Whenever I visited Mum she was happy and content and dressed in clean clothes. Before my experience of Langly Oaks, I had such a negative preconceived idea of a care home. Langley Oaks changed that view totally and was 100% the right place for Mum to be at that time in her life. Thank you.
My mother spent just over 4 years in Langley Oak and always received outstanding care from the super team. They never failed to treat her with the utmost respect and sometimes, even love. I believe her life was enhanced while there and she was happier than when living alone. She and the family became very attached to the carers and I'm confident that could not have been in a better place
Mum's first stay was for one week. During her stay, I noticed that she was happy. Her mood was stable. On collecting Mum one week later I saw she was looking healthy, well cared for in every aspect. The staff truly have a heart for caring and this was reflected in how well our Mum looked. On her arrival, Mum fitted right in and felt at home at Langley Oaks. The rooms, facilities and overall environment are kept clean and tidy to an extremely high standard. The residents are treated with genuine love and care. Thank you to everyone.
My wife, who suffers from dementia and Alzheimers was in respite care at Langley Oaks for initially two weeks extended to three. During this time she was made welcome and cared for by the very friendly staff, with excellent food, freshly cooked on the premises, so that it was almost like a hotel. However, she tended to get isolated and depressed - not only because of the nature of her illness but also because there was often not very much for her to do as the capabilities of most residents were limited (I imagine this is a problem for those in respite compared to residents who have a routine they are happy with). The special events e.g. Silent discos, were very good when they happened but she needed more of them.
Langley Oaks is amazing all of the staff are caring, helpful and so patient. Mum is always clean and so very happy when I visit. I am always made welcome whatever time I visit. The care home is always clean and the food is amazing.
My Mum has just spent the week at Langley Oaks for respite care and loved her 'holiday'. The staff were fantastic and totally put us at ease as a family and were all very kind, caring and friendly to my Mum. She has dementia but said everyone was so nice to her. We were very apprehensive as a family as this was Mum's first respite visit or stay in any care home. We were totally put at ease from the home visit by the Care Manager and by all the staff we met during the look around. The home is lovely and homely, clean and well maintained. The staff and are very friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to send mum there again for another holiday.
My father was always calm and happy when we visited. He connected with the staff who seemed genuinely caring and respectful. The standard of the lunches on offer seemed very nutritious, delicious and of generous portions. He benefitted from the outings, special days and visitors to the home. Overall, I know dad was very well cared for and his needs met by lovely staff and management.
All the staff at Langley from the management down, were lovely, nothing too much for them. They made the last six months of my frail mothers life a very happy one. It was always clean and so was she, if she wanted company, they gave it and if she wanted privacy they just popped in to check on her all day. Always plenty of food and drink given, all the staff work very hard to cater to all residents needs to make it a happy stay. Would highly recommend Langley Oaks, it gave my wife and I peace of mind during her stay there.
My mother was at Langley Oaks for 3 weeks. She really liked the place. It was stimulating her, mom said it is a celebration daily. We are very happy to see my mother so happy and lively. Staffs are friendly and very kind. Hardly any complaints to make.
My husband had initially stayed at Langley for respite care, which went very well. Gradually his needs increased and he required full-time care. Luckily there was a bed and they knew him and he knew them, it worked really well. I was really pleased with his care and the help and support for me too. I felt "at home" there too. I am so pleased with the care, kindness and support that Langley provided - I can't recommend Langley enough.
One word only, excellent.
