View Full Details of Brendoncare Knightwood MewsThis is a very nice place to spend the terminal part of one's life. The flat is warm and comfortable, with a nice outlook from the sitting room window. There are four rooms including a bathroom/WC and an adequate hall area. Sounds from adjacent flats are not heard. if required, immediate help from a member of staff can be obtained by pulling a cord. There is one available in every room.
My uncle and auntie moved into Breandoncare six years ago, but my real experience came in February when my cousin chose Breandoncare for his end of life care rather than a hospice for his terminal illness. He wanted to be near his parents but also had built up a fantastic rapport with the care staff. He spent his last ten days at Breandoncare. The staff there, do exactly that, they truly care about their residents and their families. The care that my cousin and his parents received was genuine, professional, conscientious, respectful, caring, compassionate, I just can’t find enough adjectives to describe this place! My mother is terminally ill with cancer and I’m devastated that Brendoncare isn’t round the corner as I know my mum's and my experience of her last days won’t be as positive and good as my poor cousin was lucky enough to experience. The district nurses passed comment about the amount of entertainment services offered within the price. The food is fantastic too.
We have been in our new home for 2 months and we have nothing but praise for the staff and the facilities. There are plenty of activities and there exists an air of conviviality. We use the restaurant most days and enjoy what it offers. The surrounding area is most attractive with many lovely walks through the woods.
