My father has been at Leadon Bank for a number of years and receives care from the staff with all aspects of his living. His carers are excellent, I have often arrived when they are helping him in the bathroom in the morning and they haven't realised I have arrived and I can hear the way they treat him is nothing short of excellent. Often I arrive and they are sitting talking to him, he sees them as friends. I feel at ease knowing the great care he receives from them. Also, the management there is excellent and always available to approach when we might occasionally need to.
My friend was a resident of Leadon Bank for many years. We met him through my great-uncle, who was also a resident there. They become friends. Whenever we (the family and friends) visited Leadon Bank to see either one, we were warmly and politely treated. Both of them said that they were so happy during their time there. It was lovely to have their own space, but they felt safe knowing kind and caring people were always around.
As the family of our mother and mother-in-law who is a resident at Leadon Bank, we are all delighted with the care and support she receives there. It reassures us to know she is safe and happy. We cannot praise you enough.
I appreciate the flexibility of the service, only having as much or as little help as you need. There is a sense of security provided by always having help available, if needed and the peace of mind it gives to one's children.
Leadon Bank has 53 flats on four floors and is a lovely place to live with well-landscaped paths and beautiful flowers to see whilst strolling around. Staff are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and pendants are responded to immediately. There is a twenty-four concierge service available and is similar to a small hotel. There is a restaurant, meeting room and laundry which everyone can use. All 53 flats are en suite but there is also assisted bathing for those less able to carry out confident personal care which can be easily accessed. The location is very close to the supermarket and the town! Overall a lovely place to live which I would thoroughly recommend.
There are 53 apartments on flour floors. The general feel of the building is that of a well run small hotel with 24/7 concierge service. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful, there is additional help if required. There is a very nice restaurant, and well laid out gardens, large enough for a pleasant walk. Most residents own their own apartment, which still gives them equity if they should ever need more specialist care in the future. For those of us who are still relatively active, sheltered accommodation gives us our independence while providing the support we may need from time to time. Leadon Bank has given me that support and friendship we all need in our later years.
