View Full Details of Oakes CourtLovely wonderful friendly place for your residents to make their home and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Immaculately clean and fresh. A joy to come visit. I have been visiting for the last 3 weeks and each time I find the staff to be really pleasant helpful and this makes a great deal to us as a family knowing our family member is totally cared for thank you.
My father moved into the care home in December 2022. He was made to feel very welcome and settled quite quickly into him being independent with support if needed. He enjoyed joining in with the activities and socialising with the other residents, having lived on his own for many years. The staff always kept us as a family informed of any changes. They were always friendly, helpful but professional. We found it to be an excellent home for him.
I can't speak highly enough of this well-run care home. My mother is so happy with her new home. The staff are kind and caring, my mother is not easy and they understand her needs. I live overseas and am an only child, so it's comforting to know my mother is in the safest hands. 10 out of 10 Oakes Court, many, many thanks.
Staff are very supportive and caring, as well as very responsive. It is always clean and tidy in communal areas. Tenants are encouraged to be independent. There are some nice social activities organised for tenants to join in if they wish. Staff are very obliging to family requests.
I must say that the care given to my mum since she moved in, November 2022, has been excellent. In August, she became unwell and the kindness and professionalism shown by all the staff was amazing. Above and beyond what was expected. My mother is much better now due, I am sure, to the dedication of all involved. Thank you.
I am very happy with teh care my mother has received since she came to Oakes Couet. All the team, from the management, team leader, carers and office staff have been so kind and helpful. Any concerns I have regarding Mum's health and well-being are always addressed and resolved. The only issue I have is the food quality, which does seem poor.
My dad has recently moved into Oakes Court and everybody has been so kind and caring, helping him to settle into his new flat. It is so lovely to know that he is safe and happy with such lovely staff. Thank you all.
My father has recently moved to Oakes Court. We couldn't be more delighted with the way the care team have enabled him to settle in well and feel very comfortable in his new home. He is in a lovely flat with everything he needs to keep his independence but also be secure in the fact that there is a professional, caring and attentive team available should he require assistance. Everyone couldn't be more friendly or helpful and they have made his move to his new place such a positive experience. There is just such a lovely atmosphere at Oakes Court, it's a very special place, my father knew it was the right place for him from his first visit. I would also like to call out how supportive the management team were in enabling us to move him to Oakes Court.
My mother has been here for just over 2 years and I cannot fault the attention and care she receives, the staff are very attentive and keep me informed of any changes to her situation as I live over 200 miles away. When I visit mother she is also full of praise for all the staff and saying how well she is looked after. Even during the covid lockdowns I was kept well informed of what was happening at Oakes Court all I can say is carry on the excellent work that you are doing.
My father has dementia, and the staff brought to my attention his condition was getting worse. I could see this myself, but I wasn't ready for him to move into the dementia unit. The staff were very kind and caring and convinced me to move into the unit ASAP. Since moving to another room in the dementia unit, my father seems more happier, and it is the dedication and professionalism of the care staff that made this possible. They are all brilliant.
Oakes Court is a lovely and modern Housing with Care home. With self-contained flats linked to communal areas and gardens. The staff and management are welcoming and provide my mother with all the care she needs on a daily basis which is available 24/7. They do an amazing job, especially in these troubled times. They always keep me informed as to what is happening. I am so grateful for the support they give and highly recommend Oakes Court to others.
Overall good home.
Oakes Court is a very spacious, welcoming place for residents to live. It is very open and light and well built. The management and staff do an excellent job, I'm looking after the residents as well as allowing them their independence. Obviously, it has been a difficult time over the last two years and more so recently due to two lockdowns. I think they would be in agreeance that it should not have been necessary to shut down the whole place. I understand as I work in social care and many families/friends of residents do not. Would highly recommend this home and hope to see more built.
Mum was a resident here for five years until she passed away recently. Our family will always be grateful to the wonderful staff and management team. During Mum's time here, she was always treated with kindness and compassion, and we always knew she was getting the absolute best care. I can not speak highly enough of Oakes Court.
My mam and dad moved into Oakes Court previously being apart for months despite being married for 60 years. My dad was in one home, and my mam was struggling on her own in their flat. My mother looked at Oakes Court, and we campaigned to get them together again living and sharing a bedroom as a married couple should be. When Dad finally moved into Oakes Court, he has been smiling and happy again after missing my mum. My mum has been quickly making new friends and joining in with the excellent activities. She has her independence by being able to use the little shop on-site and can have meals in the on-site cafe. They are both so much happier now. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. They are well trained and understand elders need to make their own decisions so that they can feel like they are home not ‘in a home’. Finally, it’s spotlessly clean! They are fully Covid and safeguarding safe. I would highly recommend this place to other elders and relatives.
Excellent. Excellent, Excellent throughout. This past demanding year Oakes Court has made sure they have done their utmost to protect residents. The entire home is a credit to the management and staff. Throughout the pandemic, they had no cases of COVID-19 whatsoever. If you have a loved one who needs care I really recommend this care home.
I have been in and out of Oaks Court for the past 10 years or more and it is a really lovely place to live. My brother has been in Oaks Court for nearly 5 years in total and I am more than happy with his care. The staff are all wonderful. I am 85 years old and if I ever need to go in care, that is where I will hope to go. It is more than excellent, it is wonderful.
My mother has been a resident since 2015 and quickly settled happily in the dementia unit. She says the staff are like another family. Throughout, her care has been supportive and respectful with carers often going beyond expected work/resident care. Any small hiccups are generally communicated which is reassuring to family who equally feels supported!
Since my friend has required the facilities of Oakes Court, I believe he has found their help and attention extremely good. He says they are kind and helpful, look after him and look out for him, checking to see if he needs anything during the day and night. Due to health problems, help with needs is essential and this is done on his behalf. He enjoys the lunches that are available and the help with breakfast and teas. I believe he has settled and is much safer at Oakes Court.
I am delighted that my Mum is in Oakes Court, she is more than happy with her care, especially in these uncertain times. I hope soon we will be able to go and see her more often but I am sure that will be soon. Keep up the good Oakes Court.
