View Full Details of Barchester Prestbury Beaumont - Independent Living ApartmentsI am in the unfortunate position of trying to get my mother (99 yrs) to enter a care home permanently. The staff at Beaumont have been excellent in every way, going over and above what was normally expected. Caring, professional and very helpful and understanding of the difficult situation. Highly recommend it in every way.
All the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful.
My health and physical condition have improved considerably over the last month. The care of staff is excellent, friendly, cheerful and interesting. The food has been excellent and helped in improving my physical condition considerably. I am enjoying my time here with this group of staff.
I moved here in 2017 for companionship and in anticipation of joining in activities and going on outings in the minibus. This worked well at first, but then the outings became almost non-existent and most of the activities were confined to a small area at the top of the stairs, which is most unsuitable. I find the food very good and the staff excellent.
I find the care I receive is excellent with staff both caring and courteous. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I feel I am within a family community. The activities are excellent, both academic and fun. e.g. poetry club, arts club, quizzes, which is stimulating, organised well by the Activity Organiser. I find the care call reassuring.
My mother's health has declined rapidly in recent weeks and my sister and I have been very grateful to note that the care she has been receiving has been truly excellent.
The staff do an excellent job given somewhat limited resources. By that, I mean that sometimes, staff levels appear less than is necessary, which creates a strain on full-time staff. In my view, the whole building could do with an upgrade, bearing in mind the level of fees charged. Level of care, however, is excellent.
Barchester is wonderful. Wonderful care of my dad. The manager of Barchester is very caring indeed. Thank you so much.
My 2-week convalescence at Beaumont Home was a very positive experience. Each member of staff was caring, attentive and very professional. I left feeling stronger and reinvigorated. I highly recommend the home and I am very grateful for the personal care I received during my stay.
The home sits within expansive lawns and tranquil surroundings, within a countryside setting but close to the village - so for me, this beauty and peacefulness was an aid to convalescence. The staff showed me the utmost dedication and care to my recovery, the quality of the food provided was superb. There was a choice of venue, you could either eat in your room or in the restaurant of your choice or on the ground floor ideally suited for relaxation. At other times throughout the day, hot drinks with dessert accompaniments were served frequently which I found very welcome.
The care and support that the staff provide are outstanding.
In eight years we are now on the fifth manager and she is only temporary. The place is nowhere near as good as it was when I first came. Then it was a busy bustling place with lots going on and good outings. No outings for several months, if I was looking around now I would not be coming. When I looked around I bought the only available cottage. Now half are empty. I have assisted living which gives me freedom but help when needed. The staff are really great - very kind and caring. There needs to be more carers, particularly as there are so many ill residents in the home and several with dementia. This is not a dementia home. I am very happy here but these things need to be addressed.
