View Full Details of Ben Centre1. Friendly staff and helpful. 2. A bright and Cheerful room (Visually Impaired). 3. Engaging activities. 4. Good meals. 5. Facilities are good.
Very good for people with dementia. The games played are fun and I enjoy mixing with people who have the same problem. The staff are wonderful and are dedicated.
I am happily enjoying the centre because it is good for me as I can't go out myself so they pick me up. I enjoy my meals, the staff are very good and make me happy. I have been going here for a long time. I like it and look forward to going and then coming home. Thanks.
I like going to the Day Care Centre.
My father has been attending the Day Care Centre for 2 and a half years since my mum (his main carer) passed away. Without the centre, my dad, who has dementia, wouldn't still be living in his own house with a great deal of support from others also. The centre deals with my dad's challenging dementia excellently and we have excellent communication with them keeping us informed of any issues that may occur.
The staff are very friendly and professional. My husband is picked up and dropped off by minibus and occasionally I am asked to bring him in myself if possible. My husband is provided with a lunchtime meal and is encouraged to take part in activities. I feel that I am able to phone or call in to speak with staff of I have any question or concerns. My husband, although he doesn't remember his day, looks forward to going back. He is unable to write or sign his name but is still able to take part in activities.
Always very satisfied with care given to my husband while at the centre and during transfer.
My husband really didn't want to go to a day centre but since he has been going, he has taken to the day with people he has got to know and likes the staff. He always seems to have enjoyed the company and makes a change to be with other people.
My husband has only been attending the Day Care Centre for the past few weeks. I have been very happy with the care and support which has been provided, although I understand he does not always join in with the activities offered, probably due to the effect of his dementia.
An excellent day centre with very good facilities, food and activities. Staff are always very friendly and totally professional. My husband has been attending one day a week for almost a year. Due to Alzheimer's, his behaviour can sometimes be very challenging but he is always treated in a friendly manner and with total dignity and respect. It gives me a very welcome break from caring and I can relax for a few hours knowing that he is being well cared for.
I have found the Ben Day Centre very professional and caring, in the true sense of the word. I am very happy with the care that my wife gets twice a week at the centre.
