View Full Details of Agnes and ArthurMy dad was a resident at Agnes and Arthur for 1 week short of 1 year. He loved the staff and his room. He had dementia and was really going down bank. After a fall again in the home, my dad broke his hip, and sadly we lost my dad on the 20th of February. Myself and my family were very disappointed that no one from the home contacted us, sent a card of condolence, or attended his funeral. For me, I personally think it was so disrespectful. I personally would not recommend this care home, seems to me it is just a job to the staff, and the residents are just part and parcel of it. Just want to let you know my thoughts. Thank you.
This care home is the best in the whole country. My mum has been here for over four years and I can only thank the staff for their hard job. The perfect atmosphere all the time, activities staff are the best and always meet you with a smile. I would want to thank all of you for your amazing work, most of you have become friends and I am close to you. Can I just say that the activities ladies are all so good, doing a fantastic job here, keep up the good work, it is a great care home.
A very cosy/homely environment. My nan came on respite and potentially staying should she like it...and she loves it. She settled in so quickly and it's so lovely to see the extremely positive relationship she has with the staff and residents.
My mum is a new resident who has settled in well. The staff have made her and the family very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. I know my mum is safe and sound and being looked after. They have sorted out health referrals within days of Mum coming here. Thank you for your support.
Overall the home is good but more money needs to be invested into activities by the management and not the staff. This has been an ongoing issue in the home. Residents need stimulation as part of their healthcare.
Grandmother looks well and well looked after. She has said she is well looked after and the meals are very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
My brother receives excellent care and support. All his needs are catered for. Excellent and caring staff.
My wife has been a resident at Agnes and Arthur since November 2021 during this her care has always been excellent and on many occasions above and beyond what is expected. I would not hesitate to recommend the care home to anyone. All the staff under sometimes difficult circumstances are always very caring and understanding and always ready to listen to any concerns.
My dad has been in this care home for nearly a year now. I find it a very nice place and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My dad is always well looked after and always very clean.
Mum appears to be well cared for.
Excellent, friendly, approachable staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Our dad is really well looked after.
The staff are welcoming and nice atmosphere. The food menu is lovely, Mum seemed happy and cared for and seems very incontinent which is a path for the course. Mum chatted about her garden and old neighbours, would like to visit more but because of health commitments, find it hard to visit, so do worry if she's happy but seems to be.
Main concerns with incontinence issues. He has been referred but there are delays, I provide incontinence pants but they run out quickly (not informed if none are left). Otherwise, all the staff are brilliant, doing a great job. I'm happy everything is done to make a good life for residents, very clean everywhere.
I find the home very welcoming, the staff are amazing. The home is clean and tidy.
I have visited my friend each week since January. She enjoys sitting in the dining room. She is settled and happy. The staff are caring and always find time for myself and my friend.
My aunty is settling in well. The carers are very cheerful and are caring towards my aunty. She seems to be eating well and I have seen her doing activities like painting etc. It's good to see her being busy. She seems happy.
We cannot praise all the staff at Agnes and Arthur enough. They have gone above and beyond to care for our mum for the last 18 months despite how her dementia affected her behaviour at times. The staff are friendly, professional and caring towards our mum and us and all the residents. They treated mum with respect and dignity and worked with us to ensure mum was as settled and as happy as she could be. The manager is fantastic, approachable and listens and always acted promptly on any queries or concerns that we have had. She seems to have a really good relationship with her staff and therefore this makes them a fantastic team. The domestics also do a fantastic job. Mum's room was always clean, tidy and smelt fresh. Well done to all the staff and a massive thank you for all the love and care you have shown during Mum's stay and at the time of her death.
The staff always go above and beyond to care for and entertain the residents.
My nan is always extremely well cared for and really enjoys her time at the home.
We have had such a lovely day celebrating the jubilee with all the residents and staff. The staff are just amazing, friendly, and caring. Today was just what was needed.
