View Full Details of Lilleybrook Care HomeMy 98-year-old mum has been a resident of the Lilleybrook for 6 years. Over the years we have seen many changes in staff and management. We can honestly say that the current Manager has improved the care home greatly. Any problems and queries are addressed immediately and taken care of. The carers are wonderful and genuinely care for and about the residents. The nurses are involved, sincere, and on hand at any time. Leisure activities have improved with the current co-ordinators who are brilliant in engaging residents daily in some activity to enhance their otherwise lonely days. We need to mention the kitchen, cleaning staff and maintenance staff who together help to ensure the facilities are of a very good standard. We know Mum is happy here and the lovely staff and management have made her feel she is part of a big family, which is comforting for us. We enjoy visiting and are welcome any time of day or night.
Lilleybrook Care Home provided excellent care to our Dad/Bamp throughout his time there. They treated him with such dignity, respect and compassion and made him comfortable in his last few days. The staff are such a credit, showing empathy and care to the family too. Special thanks to one staff member in particular who went above and beyond. We can't thank the home enough for the care provided and would highly recommend (especially after experiences at other local care homes).
Mother has been in residential care for several years, she has good care, all the staff are kind and very caring. The nursing staff are excellent, they make contact at all times, when needed to update the family. There are very good activities, which my mum enjoys. As a family we are hugely grateful to all the staff at Lilleybrook, we feel our mother is in safe hands and being well cared for.
Since Mum has lived at Lilleybrook I have seen how relaxed and happy she has become. Her room is decorated with her own things and has a calm welcoming feel. The staff are fantastic. The manager has made Lilleybrook a good place to be and created a warm and welcoming environment. The activities coordinator is miraculous at engaging with and supporting residents. The nurses and all staff are warm-hearted and friendly. The lounge is a pleasant place to be. I'm relieved that Mum has found somewhere that has welcomed her and where she can feel part of a community.
I have nothing but praise for the caring staff and manager at Lilleybrook Care Home. Everyone was understanding of her needs always positive but real in the circumstances and took time to spend with my aunt in spite of busy schedules. The staff were amazing and are caring heroes for the difficult job they do.
The latest care home manager is working hard to improve things at this home which has been less than satisfactory since my mother-in-law entered the home in February 2020. Most of the regular long-term staff are very good but retaining staff seems to be an issue and there is heavy reliance on agency staff who are unfamiliar with the home and the residents. There have been a number of issues which when brought to the attention of the new manager have been addressed. However, the cleanliness of rooms remains an issue.
My mother has been a resident for two years. In that time several managers have come and not stayed long. The new manager now called a meeting for relatives, it was a positive experience and I think she is a person who will get things done. I emailed her and got a reply within an hour. All the staff are caring and I have peace of mind that my mother is in the right place.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Lillybrook for the care and attention they gave to my sister in her final weeks. Anyone who knew her would know that she rarely minced her words so, In my sister's own words " l love it here they are so good to me, I'm spoilt". I know that there was one of her carers that was a particular favourite of hers I hope she knows who she is. Again I cannot thank you enough for making what time she had left more bearable. We often hear quite negative things about care homes but my personal experience of this care home was very positive for myself and my family. Thank you
From what I have seen, I can wholeheartedly say the care the staff and home gave to my Grandma care and compassion. She wasn't in the home for long, but the care staff definitely did try their very best and went above and beyond to make her comfortable in her final hours. As a family can't thank all the staff enough. Thank you.
My mum has continued to be cared for, for over two years and has built great relationships with the care staff and manager. The manager is very approachable and understanding of my mums care needs. My mum feels safe, cared for and continues to enjoy living at Lilleybrrok Care Home. I would like to thank the team and the manager for their continuous kindness.
So glad we were able to get a place in The Grange for our sister. Since she became a permanent resident, the care, both for her and us, when visiting received has been excellent. The staff have always been very caring and have always been fast to react whenever a request was made. Well done to The Grange Care Center, and thank you for everything.
The most friendly care home I have visited. The standards and facilities are excellent, and I don't say that lightly. I have visited many care homes and this tops the lot. Urgent, short notice care was needed for my neighbour and The Grange Care Centre came up trumps. The manager was so amenable, nothing was too much trouble. Care was arranged at very short notice with very little fuss. Ongoing care is also good. Ten stars would not be enough!
My wife's stay was pleasant and the staff were very caring. My words cannot explain the care she had from all the staff and I would recommend the Grange to anyone. If my time comes, I hope my stay will be here.
Made my mother feel welcome, she settled in very quickly. Such a homely feeling about the home, all the staff are really caring. My mum is only disabled and partially sighted, she does not have any dementia.
My Father who suffered severe dementia was a resident for over 3 years, passing away at the end of June. He was looked after by a dedicated team of carers with kindness and dignity. They have been a great source of understanding and support to me as well as Dad. Carers do not get enough credit and you should be extremely proud of your Team. Thank you.
The standard of care is quite exceptional. I have recently had to (regretfully) visit frequently as my friend's dementia progresses. The carers are positive and always soft-spoken and friendly. They will try and bring out a smile from the resident even on the worst of days. When I chat with my friend about her day, she often doesn't always remember how she spends her day but always remembers having enjoyed her time. The building is spacious, immaculate and inviting.
The care assistants were very accommodating to my husband's needs. The food was fantastic however, I was very disappointed in the lead nurses diagnosis that my husband would never return home and I should start to carve a life for myself! The manager was very kind and in the future, I am going to volunteer. The whole experience was fine just not the right place for my husband, not the home's fault.
Has changed my view on care homes. All the staff are lovely and friendly. Treat my Dad and other residents like family. Would like better and more varied food and more activities.
I would just like to thank all the staff at The Grange Care Centre on behalf of Grandad who spent nearly three months in the home. He was so well looked after by all the staff. It was quite emotional when he left the home on his last day on the to move to his permanent residence. Every time we left after visiting we could always relax at home knowing that my Grandad was in very safe and capable hands and would be well looked after. Please pass on our thanks and appreciation to all the staff who my father and myself could rely on 100%. Thank you so much. Thank you all from our family.
We have found The Grange to be an outstanding care home. The staff are without exception, kind, caring, thoughtful and understanding. They cope wonderfully with amazing patience and tolerance despite the challenges they face with dementia. The home provides a range of environments and activities for residents. They make use of their magnificent grounds for parties and utilize any opportunity to stimulate residents. I love their new parrot too! The atmosphere is more friendly and warm than many other care homes we visited. We are so relieved and thankful for the care and have no hesitation in recommending The Grange to anyone who asks. Many, many thanks to those that have contributed.
